Rich Rats

The night was quite not too quiet though. I dreamt about me walking in the school halls. The halls were really dim and nobody was there. When I took a few steps I saw the same exact figure from before. The figure started to walk towards me. I wasn't afraid but I didn't want to be near it so I turned around and started walking. I could hear the figure following me so I started walking a little faster and so did the figure. It was that I started running towards the school exit but the exit faded away and instead of a big black gate there was a tall white brick wall. All I could do was stand there and try to dream the door was there even though it was my dream nothing went my way. I turned around and there the figure was right in front of me if I have to guess it was two feet in front of me. The figure reached out to me placing it's hand on my heart after that it spoke to me.

???~ I know who you are… when the night shines so do you…

The figure grabbed my neck, nearly choking me. I could hardly breathe. I felt like my soul was being taken from me… it was when I looked up at the figure it took it's other hand and swung it straight at my face. I woke up after that I had to wake up early to get to school. I decided not to tell Rip about what it is I had to experience last night. I got out of bed and got ready for school. My mom made me lunch like usual. She always leaves a note for me saying she loves and cares about me and hopes I have a good day. I always save those notes my mom makes for me. I have them saved in a box somewhere in my room. I left the house and met up with Rip. We walked to school cuz it wasn't all that far from the streets we live on. I always met up with Rip when I left the house.

Dante~ *yawn* Good morning Rip

Rip~ Good morning Dante how did you sleep?

I didn't want Rip to worry so I had to lie to him. It killed me to do so but at this point I don't want him getting into any more trouble.

Dante~ I slept ok last night I kept tossing and turning tho not gonna lie.

Rip~ Same honestly I guess some nights getting good sleep is a challenge.

Dante~ You go that right.

We stopped the conversation and arrived at the school we still had thirty minutes before we had to get to class so we walked around the school. Occasionally some people said hi to us and welcomed us to the school they knew we were new and wanted to let us know that the school is a really nice school. Although there was something to watch out for "The Dawgs". Yup you guessed it they are the school bullies basically. They're Three of them, they all were big, tall and didn't know much at all. Both me and Rip knew not to mess with them so we decided to keep our distance from these guys. The bell rang and me and Rip had to get our first period class. When we got to our class we were greeted by this girl she had purple messy hair and wore really long boots for some reason.

Maggie~ Well like what's up y'all!

Dante~ Hey I'm Dante and this is Rip.

Rip~ Hello What's your name exactly?

Maggie~ The name is Maggie and that girl over there is my sister Laura. She's like totally the total opposite of me.

Laura~ Maggie can you shut up for once and sit down class is about to start.

Maggie~ Calm your tits Laura the teacher isn't even here. And I'm trying to welcome the new guys to the school.

Laura~ Whatever god please kill me.

Maggie~ Ugh such a bitch. Anyway welcome to the school I'm sure you were already told about the school bullies they mess with everyone except for one group of girls. They call them the mane seven.

Rip~ I've heard of them actually I don't know much about them though.

Maggie~ Just know if you ever deal with those "Dawgs" they'll be there for y'all.

Dante~ Look me and Rip can protect ourselves

Laura~ Ha of course you can I bet you two don't even know what special abilities you have.

Dante~ Ok ms.knowitall what's your power then.

Laura~ You had a dream last night you felt like you shouldn't tell your friend cuz you think it will get him in trouble.

I froze... I didn't know how to respond. Little did I know that was gonna come out of her mouth.

Rip~ Dante what is she talking about?

Dante~ You can read minds.

Laura~ Along with other things, everyone in this school doesn't just have one ability, Dante. This school is supposed to help you find your powers… but instead cuz of the rich like the two of you they stopped us from learning how to use them because they felt like we were a danger to everyone.

Maggie: The mane seven are more mid to high class nobody bothers to talk to them but they still protect us things got shaky for them and they split up. They don't work as well as they used to and honestly I wonder why…

Dante~ Look I know me and Rip can't earn your trust Laura but I'll tell you this we will help make things the way they were before the government got involved. The school will be what it was made for. I can't say it will happen but we hope one day the school can be what it was made for.

Laura~ If you can make that happen then yeah we could be friends but until that happens you're nothing but rats to me.

The bell rang and everyone sat down in their seats. Maggie was looking over to me and Rip with a look of sorrow. I knew Maggie trusted us but chances are she's the only one that trusts us… I decided not to think about it and focused on the teacher for the rest of the class. An hour later the bell rang and the first study hall period started. The year was still young so nobody had anything to study. Me and rip decided to split up for the period and meet up at our next class. As I was walking down the large halls one of those Dawgs walked up to me trying to pick up a fight. They called him Pop because of the amount of lollipops he keeps in his backpack.

Pop~ Yo what's up

Dante~ Nothing Leave me alone bro.

Pop~ What if I don't want to? What if I wanna knock you out right now?

Dante~ What if I punch you dead in the gut?

The hallway started to crowd and everybody was shocked to see what they're seeing. Before I knew it Pop threw a punch at me. I don't know what kicked into me but I avoided the punch with a sharp sense of awareness. Pop tried to throw another punch directly at my face and it kicked in again and I grabbed his raging fist. I took Pops arms and slammed him on the ground putting him in submission. I put so much pressure into his arms I nearly broke them. I only got off him because I was stopped by a girl who was among the crowd. The girl looked at me straight in the eyes. I knew what that look was, she wanted me to let go of him so I did just that. Pop barely got up and walked away.

Pop~ This isn't the end kid. Next time it won't be so easy.

The crowd stared at me, trying to figure out what the hell just happened here. Before any teachers came I ran away from the scene. I got away and decided to rest and sat down at the nearest bench. I looked to my right and the same girl was standing right next to me. She was purple skinned with dark blue hair and a purple and pink highlight. She sat next to me.

Dante~ Hey I'm Dante what's your name?

Twilight~ I'm Twilight Sparkle I just wanted to say that you got some serious guts nobody has ever put one of the Dawgs in submission before.

Dante~ I just gave him what he deserved at least I think I did. I don't really know what came over me actually.

Twilight~ Maybe it's one of your abilities.

Dante~ Wait you know I'm new?

Twilight~ for reasons we all know who you are. You're like me, the "rich rats".

Dante~ Yeah you're a "rich rat" to huh?

Twilight~ Yeah… my friends or should I say… my old friends and I hate the name but we deal with it. It's not like we can change how they feel about us.

Dante~ By any chance are there seven of you?

Twilight~ Yeah me, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Sunset Shimmer.

Dante~ You're part of the mane seven or at least used to. What happened to you all?

Twilight~ It's a long, long, long story.

The bell rang and both me and Twilight got up and walked to class.

Dante~ what class you got?

Twilight~ Oh umm I have calculus.

Dante~ I have biology with my friend Rip.

Twilight~ That's nice.

*Intercom*~ Twilight Sparkle your parents are checking you out of school please come to the front office.

Dante~ You're going home already?

Twilight~ Yeah something must have happened. Hey I'll talk to you tomorrow goodbye.

Twilight ran off leaving me completely confused. I didn't know why she would have been taken home so early in the school day but I decided not to think about it. I met up with Rip in biology and sat next to him. The bell rang and class started. The teacher got up from his desk and stood in front of the class. I knew this was gonna be a long class.
