The Walk Home

I froze staring into her eyes. She looked at me and started backing away from me. The look on her face was tragic almost like she had witness a murder. I closed my eyes and turned around facing away from her.

Dante~ How long... have you been thinking about this?

Twilight~ When I woke up from my three day coma and was waiting for you to wake up. When I saw you again after three weeks… to see you here, alive and healthy I felt happy for the first time in forever.

Dante~ Twilight it's great that you care about me. I care about you too but you have to realize I can't just make you into a night owl you have to be born a night owl.

Twilight~ Not exactly…

Dante~ Twilight… What are you hiding?

Twilight~ I lied to Rip when I told him that the only way to become a night owl is from birth… basically it's possible for someone to become a night owl but there is a catch.

Dante~ What's the catch.

Twilight~ Anyone who decides to become a night owl has to do one of the two things. Either I ask the leader to turn me into a night owl or I find true love with another night owl…

Dante~ Twilight…

Twilight~ I need to tell you this Dante…

Dante~ I'm listening...

Twilight~When I saw you fight pop and looked you in the eyes I didn't expect you to let him go. I thought you were gonna break his arm. When you let go of him you made me realize that maybe you were different from the others. Dante you're a really kind hearted person, someone who isn't afraid to do the right thing. And the first person in forever to give me a chance in Friendship… Dante…?

Dante~ Yes Twilight…?

Twilight~ Will you please help me…

Dante~ I can't help you Twilight I'm sorry…

The area was silent for a minute before the silence was broken.

Twilight~ I think I'm gonna get home it is getting late. I'll talk to you later Dante.

Dante~ Yeah… hey wait your home is on the same road as mine I'll walk u there.

Twilight~ Oh ok…

I started to walk Twilight home mostly because of how late it was getting and I didn't want anything to happen to her. As we were walking I noticed Twilight looked a little scared after all it was a bit dark outside.

Dante~ Hey you ok?

Twilight~ I'm not used to walking late at night… it makes me feel unsafe…

I didn't want her to be scared so I had to let her know that we're going to be ok so I put my arm around her. I saw her blush a little but didn't think much about it.

Twilight~ Heh do you do this to all your friends.

Dante~ No I just wanted to let you know that you don't have to worry.

Twilight~ *blushes* Thank you…

Dante~ Not a problem Twi.

Twilight~ Twi…?

Dante~ You know short for Twilight. Do you not like that?

Twilight~ I love it actually. Nobody has ever given me a nickname before… not even… them…

Dante~ You mean your ex friends… hey can you explain to me exactly how y'all fell out.

Twilight~ One summer we all planned a trip to Hawaii right after school was out. Everything was ok. We were all at my house getting ready to go until Rainbow dash came into the house… she didn't have the best look on her face at all…

Dante~ Why is that?

Twilight~ Rainbow was mad at applejack cuz she may or not have well… slept with her boyfriend two weeks before school was out.

Dante~ How did Rainbow find out?

Twilight~ She found out from the rumors that were spreading all over the school. And when Rainbow confronted Applejack about she told her that the rumors were true… Rainbow was so furious she punched applejack right in the face and even when she was on the ground struggling to get up she kept going… she nearly killed her… it was after that she went off the grid and we never saw her again…

Dante~ That doesn't explain how the rest of you split tho.

Twilight~ That one was all my fault… Before we were moved to our current school we attended the normal highschool. But we had to hide our powers from everyone or we would have been considered as outcasts and moved to our current school.

Dante~ By the way this is going I'm guessing you were caught using your powers. My question is how exactly?

Twilight~ it was our final day of our senior year and we were so close to graduating… Our graduation was held at a pavilion located on the other side of town. One of the students was standing under a pillar that was about to fall and I reacted… without even noticing I used my ability to magically levitate things and I stopped the pillar from falling on the student… but that was also when my friends looked at me with the biggest sense of fear. Before we knew it we were stripped of our diplomas because we violated the law and they sent us to the school for the "freaks"

Dante~ Even when we save someone's life they discriminate and isolate us from the "normals".

Twilight~ As the years went by in the school my friends were losing their faith and blamed me for it. I kept trying to let them know that I was sorry… and till this very day I feel like I should have just let that pillar hit the student…

Dante~ Twilight look at me… it's not your fault at the end of the day you saved that person from death. If it wasn't for you he or she would have been dead. You're not the reason why you and your friends were shunned by the people. There had to have been a reason why.

Twilight~ I wish there was but for all I know it's all my fault…

Dante~ Hey we're here

Twilight~ Oh… hey thanks for walking me home. And I also thank you for listening to me about my past and how I wanted to become a night owl. It's nice to have a friend like you.

Dante~ No problem and it's great to have a friend like you.

Before Twilight entered her house she gave me a big but quick hug. After that I left and headed to my house (which was only five houses down). Before I knew it someone jumped out a bush scaring me half to death.

Jamie~ Awwww did I scare you my king.

Dante~ I'm not your king and yes you did.

Jamie~ I'm sorry my love I didn't expect to scare you that much.

Dante~ THAT MUCH!? *Sigh* whatever can you please just go home.

Jamie~ Actually everywhere is my home.

Dante~ So you just break into someone's house and just say "home sweet home" like you won't go to jail?

Jamie~ I'm actually really well known around here.

Dante~ Yeah right.

Jamie~ I could freak you out so bad right now. I'll save it for another time goodbye my king.

She blew me a kiss before she left. I swore something was wrong with her. I just didn't know what. After Jamie left I approached and entered my home. My mom was sleeping so I tried to keep quiet so I didn't wake her up. Like usual I took my shower and headed to bed. My phone rang before I fell asleep. It was Twilight. I answered the phone.

*Over the phone*

Twilight~ Dante I just got a text from someone… Actually multiple😟.

Dante~ From who?

Twilight~ My old friends, they want us all to meet up at the mall. 😰I'm scared to go by myself will you go with me?

Dante~ 😎Not a problem Twi.

Twilight~ Ok good we meet tomorrow morning three hours before school.

Dante~ Got it Twi see you then maybe I can get rip to come with if his parents will let him.

Twilight~ That would be a good idea and be prepared for anything I don't know why they want us to meet up.

Dante~ 💯😎Don't worry you know I'm never caught slipping up. I'll talk to you In the morning goodnight Twi😴🌃.

The phone call ended and I went back to bed. The night ended with my friend getting multiple texts from her old friends saying they want to meet up. I didn't know why exactly but I didn't have a bad feeling about it at all. I fell asleep minutes after.
