What's going on

My mom walked down the stairs entering the room. She stood in front of me making direct eye contact with me. I walked up to her. Both Rip and Twilight went upstairs to my room to give me and my mom time alone.

Dante~ You don't have a choice but to tell the truth. Do I have a brother and if so what's his name?

Rose~ I don't recall having two kids in my life. Where is this even coming from?

Dante~ One of the guys at school who wants to kill me! He told me you basically disowned him when you had me. And he said he's a night owl just like me and you.

Rose~ Yes… it's true… his name is Donny I don't know what snapped into him but when your father died something changed in him. Donny wanted revenge on who killed your father but Everytime he tried and had a lead on who killed your father the trail went cold. Donny then accidentally killed an innocent person one day and after that he kept killing left and right and always got away with the murders. He only killed members of law enforcement and anyone military related no matter who it was as long as they served our country they were on his list. I tried to get him to stop but he refused and saw it was too late when I threw him out...

Dante~ I can't believe you… why… Why do you always think it's ok to hide and lie to me about stuff like this? You never told me about him and now it's your fault he wants to kill me for something I had no control of.

Rose~ I wanted to be a good mother and protect you from him…

Dante~ Look where hiding and lying got you I'm on his hit list.

Rose~ *sigh* Dante you know the chance of you dying is high right? What if you don't succeed?

Dante~ I know I'm going to succeed, I'm gonna help Donny. Even if it's the last thing I do.

My mom pulled a purple chain necklace from a drawer and handed it to me. It looked like it hadn't been touched ever since she had it but kept it safe and clean.

Dante~ What's this?

Rose~ It's an enchanted chain necklace it will help you control your abilities. I enchanted this myself in case I thought you would need it one day. The chain necklace was hard to pick out. I really wanted this to be special so I made sure it was your favorite color. Take the chain Dante. I can assure you that you will need it.

I took the chain necklace and put it on. Before I knew it a surge of energy coursed through my entire body I was frozen for a few seconds until I was able to move again and everything felt easier. I'm able to walk, run, jump, punch and think a lot better now.

Dante~ Wow I feel so… brand new…

Rose~ That's what it's supposed to do. Now I want to test something. Dante... think of something that makes you mad.

Dante~ Well the fact that you lied to me about my brother enrages me but I don't feel anything happening. Normally when I'm mad something happens.

Rose~ That's because the chain helps suppress your emotional activation and helps you focus on your abilities activating on command. They still have something to do with your emotions, just not entirely. This will help when you need to do something in a split second without your abilities wanting to activate when they want and not when you want. This lasts when you pass it down to the next generation, which is your own children.

I went upstairs to my room finding Rip and Twilight sitting on my bed.

Dante~ Hey guys

Twilight~ What's up is it true is Pop your brother?

Rip~ Fuck that for a second peep the fresh chain man I want one like it OUCH!

Rose~ Oh yeah and that's why I haven't worn it myself whoever wears the chain first is forever his or hers until said otherwise by the owner of the chain and harms the ones who touch it and isn't considered an ally. You can transfer a little bit of the chains magic to your friends to let it know that they are friendly allies and won't be harmed. I placed both my hands on Rips and Twilights shoulders transferring the energy from my chain to them. I pulled away seconds later, took off the chain and placed it on Rips hand.

We left the house heading back to the hospital. The whole drive I noticed Twilight worried about something. When we got back to the hospital I told Rip to go ahead to sunsets room. He left and it was just me and Twilight in the car.

Twilight~ Why did you tell him to go ahead of us?

Dante~ A better question is what are you so worried about? Before we got to my house you we're worried about something and now you still are. Twilight I promise you this will all be ok.
