Stubborn but for a reason

Rarity's POV

It's been well over a week since we all came back home. It's still hard to process that Dante isn't with us anymore or at least for now. Donny has been doing everything he can do to help Twilight and Rip become the strong and intelligent Night Owls he knows they can be. Everyone else is either at the mall or relaxing at the local park. Meanwhile I'm stuck at home organizing my closet. I put it off for so long and it was practically a mess so I had to stay home and take care of this before I could do anything. Hours went by and I still had a long way to go. At that point I didn't want to deal with the closet for the rest of the day so I decided to sit in my sister's room and relax with her. Her room was right next to mine so it was long until I made my way inside. I found my sister laying in bed watching funny online videos on her laptop.

Sweetie Belle~ HA! so hilarious! Oh hey Rarity what's up?

Rarity~ Nothing much really, I still have a long way to go with my closet.

Sweetie Belle~ This is why I suggested you get rid of some of your clothes. You have so many it's ridiculous.

Rarity~ I know but I love them so much and I make sure I can make an outfit for each day.

Sweetie Belle~ At least you have a reason to keep your clothes.

Rarity~ Exactly, anyway how have you been lately?

Sweetie Belle~ I've been pretty good. Applebloom got a new laptop yesterday.

Rarity~ What happened to the last one?

Sweetie Belle~ Scootaloo accidentally broke it so she ended up getting a new one.

Rarity~ That's unfortunate her laptop broke. It is a good thing that she was able to replace it.

Sweetie Belle~ Yeah.

Rarity~ Sooooo, what do you have planned today?

Sweetie Belle~ Nothing much really, I do plan on heading over to Scootaloo's house for something kind of important. It's not anything that serious but she really wants me at her house.

Rarity~ Well what is it exactly?

Sweetie Belle~ I don't know why exactly she didn't tell us why.

Rarity~ Well I hope whatever it is you three don't get into trouble.

Sweetie Belle~ Since when do I ever get into trouble?

Rarity~ Well… there was that one time…

Sweetie Belle~ Don't you dare. That wasn't ever our fault and you know it.

Rarity~ But you two were involved and it could have been prevented. It doesn't matter if you did anything or not. You tried to cover it up.

Sweetie Belle~ I only did it because I didn't want Scootaloo to get in trouble.

Rarity~ That's the thing you knew she was going to get in trouble and you still tried to protect her. I understand the concept of what you did but she still had to face the consequences. If you didn't try to help her cover up what happened then you wouldn't have gotten in trouble with her.

Sweetie Belle~ I know but still I didn't want her to be alone.

Rarity~ Haven't you noticed how much trouble she gets into? It's almost as if she wants to get in trouble. I'm not saying she's a troublemaker but I am saying it's unusual.

Sweetie Belle~ To me it sounds like you're starting to not trust her.

Rarity~ Well that's a bit much if you ask me but I can't say you're wrong. Once you get older you'll understand.

Sweetie Belle~ She's not a troublemaker and there is no reason not to trust her. She hasn't done anything wrong ever since that day and I know she's not gonna cause any more trouble.

Rarity~ It's easier said than actually done. Oh well, I'm gonna go hang out with my friends. I'll be gone for a long time.

I started to get up and leave her room until something caught my attention. I saw a purple glow coming from Sweetie Belle's closet. Even though the room was well lit I can see something intensely glowing from across the entire room. Without bringing it up I decided to check her closet and see what was glowing. I began to open her closet door until Sweetie Belle came out of nowhere and slammed it shut.

Sweetie Belle~ Don't go in there!

Rarity~ Why? Is there something in your closet that you aren't supposed to have?

Sweetie Belle~ No not at all. It's just the clothing racks are broken and my closet is a bit of a mess. You already have to deal with a messy closet. I'm sure you don't want to deal with another. Also I know your friends just can't wait to see you ya know?

Rarity~ Hmm… You know what? You're right, I don't want to deal with another messy closet. Anyway like I said I'm gonna head out and hang with my friends. I've been inside for so long I need some fresh air. I'll see you later.

Sweetie Belle~ Goodbye Rarity, see you later.

I walked out of the room and left the house heading to the mall where I knew at least some of my friends would be. I may be a bit clueless at times but I'm not unaware about that weird glow inside her closet. I know she's hiding something and I'm gonna find out what it is. I decided to play it off for a few days until she lets her guard down, then I would find what she's hiding and confront her about it. If something comes up then I'll have to confront her a bit sooner than expected. In the middle of me thinking to myself about what Sweetie Belle was hiding I actually ran into everyone. What surprised me the most was that Donny was there along with Twilight and Rip mostly because they've been really busy lately and I didn't expect them to be anywhere but Donny's house.

Sunset~ Hey Rarity! It's great to see you.

Rarity~ Darling, I thought you all were at the mall or the local park and Donny I thought you three were really busy.

Twilight~ The three of us met up with everyone at the park. The three of us thought that we've been stressing out a bit lately and decided to take a few days to relax.

Rip~ Then we decided to come over to your house and see what was up. It's been some time since we all hung out together.

Donny~ So you wanna hang?

Rarity~ Yes most certainly my house is well literally right there. Follow me.

We all enter my home and walk over to my room.

Rarity~ Don't mind my closet please. I was organizing it before I left the house.

Twilight~ I can help you with that.

Rarity~ Thank you dear but do understand it's a bit daunting.

We all enter my room and Twilight nearly faints when she sees my closet. It took two people to make sure she didn't collapse after losing almost all of her balance.

Applejack~ Woah, Talk about a lot of clutter. Do you even wear most of this?

Rarity~ Surprisingly I do, I always try to make outfits depending on the day of the week.

Fluttershy~ And you need all of this to do that?

Rarity~ Well no but there's no such thing as too many dresses.

Twilight~ Speak for yourself, my mom would have gotten rid of half of this herself if my closet was this bad.

Donny~ Yeah you said it was a bit daunting. This is the opposite of "a bit daunting".

Rip~ With a closet like this you could get lost in it.

Pinkie Pie~ At least everything is properly hung up and not everywhere on the ground.

Twilight~ I guess that's a positive but this closet is huge. This could take days to organize.

Donny~ Rarity, just so we can be sure there isn't anything hiding in here is there?

Rarity~ I get it! My closet is huge and this isn't a one day job but if we're gonna talk about hiding something in a closet can I bring up something I saw in my sister's room?

Donny~ What did you see?

Rarity~ I saw an intense glow coming from her closet.

Rainbow~ Do you know what it was?

Rarity~ I was gonna investigate but she stopped me from doing so. I could tell she was hiding something. I just don't know what exactly. It's not everyday I see anything like this.

Rip~ Why not walk into her closet and look to see what it was even after she stopped you?

Rarity~ I figured I could just play it off for a few days until she let her guard down.

Twilight~ What color was this glow?

Rarity~ A bright purple.

Donny~ What excuse did she give you so you wouldn't check her closet?

Rarity~ Her clothing racks are broken and her closet is messy at least that's what she said.

Rip~ Bullshit! I used that excuse on Dante long ago when I was hiding his birthday present. I still use that excuse to this day now that I think about it.

Donny~ She's definitely hiding something and whether or not it involves us we're gonna find out what it is one way or the other.

Twilight~ Rarity this could be important and you know this.

Rainbow~ Yeah! we can't let this slide. For all we know she could be hiding something really dangerous and if she's not careful you know what could happen.

Applejack~ Maybe something not suitable for kids like your sister.

Donny~ Is your sister still in her room?

Rarity~ She's about to leave to hang with her friends. She said her friend Scootaloo wanted her at her house later on today. She claims it's not that serious.

Donny~ Yeah "not that serious" let's see.

Donny left the room and everyone along with me followed him into my little sister's room. We all saw her in her closet reaching for something. Donny walked into her closet scaring Sweetie Belle and causing her to drop what she reached for.

Donny~ Going somewhere?

Sweetie Belle~AH! Who are you!? Wait… Rarity? I thought you left.

Rarity~ I thought your closet was messy and not intact.

Sunset~ Looks fine to me.

Donny~ What did you just drop?

Sweetie Belle~ I dropped a uh… uhhh…

Donny takes a knee to pick up what my little sister dropped and walked out of the closet.

Donny~ This is the glow you saw Rarity?

Rarity~ Without a doubt it is. It's even more intense up close.

Rip~ The question is what's so important about this fabric pouch?

Donny~ What's inside is what's important. Sweetie Belle what's inside the pouch?

Sweetie Belle~ Ummm…

Rarity~ There is no point in hiding anything anymore. What's inside the pouch?

Sweetie Belle~ You see… I can't tell you…

Twilight~ Well that's fine because we can just open it.

Sweetie Belle~ No! Don't open it please.

Twilight~ Then tell us it's that simple.

Sweetie Belle~ I can't…

Rip~ Why can't you tell us? Don't you realize you could be holding onto something that can get you into serious trouble?

Sweetie Belle~ That's the thing… I do but… I promised someone that I would keep it safe…

Twilight~ Who?

Sweetie Belle~ *sigh* Just… Open the pouch and find out… I can't hide it any longer.

I snatched the pouch out of Donny's hands and reached inside. The second my hand touched the object I felt a sharp pain on my index finger. I quickly pulled my hand out in pain and saw that the tip of my finger was leaking out blood. We all slowly turned towards Sweetie Belle completely surprised at what just happened.

Donny~ What the hell is in this pouch? Your own sister just hurt herself trying to grab it.

Rarity~ Donny… I think I know what it is.

I slowly reached into the pouch and pulled out the mystery object. The second Donny saw what it was we all could see his power surging inside him. I'm not an expert in body language and neither is everyone else but we could all tell he was furious. In fact he was by far the most furious anyone had ever seen him.

Donny~ WHERE DID YOU GET THIS!?

Rainbow~ Rip what is it?

Rip~ It's a knife but it doesn't look like an ordinary knife.

Twilight~ A really large looking bowie knife that glows purple? How does this work exactly?

Donny~ If you had plans you might as well cancel them. Where did you get this knife and who gave it to you?

Sweetie Belle~ Look at the beginning of the blade… he said he was friends with Rarity so he was most likely friends with all of you.

I looked at the knife in my hands and realized that there was a name on the back of it. The name was in small letters but was still readable. I read the name to myself and broke down in tears.

Rarity~ ........

Twilight~ Rarity? Who's knife is it?

Rarity~ D-dante… this is Dante's knife…

Rip~ What!?

Sunset~ There's no possible way. There is no way she got this knife from Dante himself.

Rip~ HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT DANTE!?

Donny~ Don't sit there and say nothing.

Twilight~ Guys don't yell… You're scaring her.

Rarity~ I think you two need to calm down for a bit while the rest of us have a civil conversation.

Rip~ Ugh!

Rainbow~ Come on you two. Rarity's right we understand it hurts but we can't have you two acting like this.

Sunset~ I'll come two and help calm you two down.

Sunset, Rainbow, Donny, and Rip all left the room leaving us to talk to my sister.

Rarity~ I need you to tell us everything. What happened?

Sweetie Belle~ Well… a week ago it was night time and I was asleep. I don't know what it was but something woke me up and I saw a shadowy figure. I asked him who he was and he walked over and turned on the lamp light next to my bed. That was when I met him for the first time face to face.

Twilight~ You mean he was here a week ago?

Rarity~ And you didn't tell me?

Sweetie Belle~ It didn't sound like he wanted you all to know he was here so I kept it a secret...

Pinkie Pie~ Why was he here in the first place?

Sweetie Belle~ If I told you then you wouldn't believe me…

Applejack~ Sugarcube anything you tell us we'll believe.

Rarity~ This does involve our greatest friend. You kinda have to tell us either way.

Sweetie Belle~ Well, he told me he was an ex Night owl whatever that was.

Twilight~ It's a rare species. It's a lot to explain.

Sweetie Belle~ Oh, well he also told me he was something called a Rogue. I don't know what that is either but it doesn't sound good.

Twilight~ It's not…

Applejack~ Well I'll be…

Rarity~ Oh dear…

Sweetie Belle~ Can you explain what a Rogue is?

Twilight~ Well ummm… Dante is a former Owl and Owls have the ability to become a more savage and sinister version of themselves. Those savage Owls are named Rogue Owls or just Rogues. In order to become one… in order to become one… I can't… I just can't…

Rarity~ Breathe Twilight, just breathe.

Twilight~ Deep breathe in… and out… Sweetie Belle… in order to become a Rouge you have to forget everything and everyone you ever cared about and either give your soul to this hidden power deep inside you or create that power yourself. Once you become a Rogue you can't ever turn back.

Sweetie Belle~ Oh… then I guess you should know what he was here for.

Twilight~ That's something we don't know, can you please tell us?

Sweetie Belle~ I asked him why he was really here and he told me how Rogues get their power. He told me that he and the others feed off of revenge and killing others…

Rarity~ Which pretty much means…

Twilight~ He was gonna kill you…

Fluttershy~ Granted that you're still here I'm guessing he didn't do it.

Sweetie Belle~ He was going to because he was being forced to do it against his will. He told me his mother sent him here and if he didn't kill me then he's as good as nothing.

Fluttershy~ So this is all Roses' doing.

Twilight~ That no good… that no good… no…

Rarity~ What happened after he told you why he was here?

Sweetie Belle~ Well… I kinda… was gonna let him kill me…

Rarity~...........

Sweetie Belle~ I don't think I should have told you that part.

Rarity~ WHY WOULD YOU LET HIM KILL YOU!?

Sweetie Belle~ I wanted to help him make his mother happy but in the end he refused and gave me his knife before he left.

Pinkie Pie~ You mean he let you keep it?

Fluttershy~ That's really irresponsible of him.

Sweetie Belle~ Yeah, he told me that I'll need it more than him and I promised him that I'd keep the knife safe.

The door opens and everyone that left the room enters.

Donny~ We're back and calm now.

Rip~ Yeah sorry about that by the way.

Sweetie Belle~ It's ok. I understand how you two feel about this.

Rarity~ What were you gonna do with the knife before we caught you with it?

Sweetie Belle~ I was gonna take it to the treehouse and tell my friends about it. I couldn't let you find out about it and I had a feeling that Rarity knew about it when she tried to open my closet before she left. I had to try and get it out of the house before you came back home.

Rarity~ But you didn't expect me to come back so soon along with all of my friends.

Sweetie Belle~ Yeah I nearly dropped the knife on my foot when that guy scared me. Who is he anyway?

Rarity~ Sweetie Belle, that's Dante's older brother, Donny. Donny, this is Sweetie Belle.

Donny~ I already knew who she was. Back then I used to wander around in the shadows trying to pick out who I was going to kill… that was before I changed…

Sweetie Belle~ Well I'm glad you changed.

Donny~ Yeah… even though I was a bit of a sick person back then I couldn't bring myself to kill a child.

Rip~ Look we overheard everything you said and… it hurt to be told all of this. I just can't believe this went down right under our noses.

Sweetie Belle~ I'm sorry for not telling you when it all happened…

Rainbow~ It's ok, we all have those times when we feel like we're doing someone a favor by not saying anything.

Sweetie Belle~ There was one more thing he told me before he left. He said if Rarity ever knew about this he wanted to let you all know that his life was about to be more and I quote "fucked up" when he gets back to her.

Sunset~ What does that mean?

Donny~ Only one thing… and it's not pretty.

Rip~ Let's just say we need to save him as soon as possible.

Donny~ We still need to get you two to your full potential. If not that then at least enough to hold off anyone in case we have to fight. You have Dante's power inside you two and he was able to get stronger and get used to his power in a small amount of time.

Twilight~ But that's Dante and we're not like him. What took him less than a year could take us years. Even if we were at Dante's level, is it enough to save him?

Rip~ Twilight's makes a good point. Even if we were as strong as Dante. What are the chances we actually save him?

Donny~ That's why we have to strive to become stronger than before so we can ensure that the chances of saving him are as high as ever. I saw it in his eyes before he left. Even if it took years we have to do whatever it takes to bring him back.

Rarity~ I understand Dante is really important to not only you but all of us as well. Also I'm glad that you guys are working hard to bring him back one day but right now I'm more worried about the knife. What do we do with it?

Twilight~ Well obviously we can't let Sweetie Belle keep it. It's a dangerous item. She could end up hurting not only herself but someone else.

Donny~ I agree with Twilight.

Sweetie Belle~ Please let me keep the knife. I promised him that I would keep it safe and I want to keep that promise.

Rarity~ Sweetie Belle we all know leaving it with you is not a good idea. Something bad could happen if you're not careful with it.

Sweetie Belle~ I've had it for a week and nothing has happened yet.

Donny~ I'm sorry but the answer is no. Let's go guys, we need to figure out what's up with this knife.

Sweetie Belle~ But… but… NO! I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU TAKE IT FROM ME!

I watched as my little sister snatched the knife out of Donny's hands along with the pouch and ran off with it. We all chased her almost all through our part of the neighborhood trying to get the knife back. In the middle of this wild goose chase Sweetie Belle made the fastest escape anyone could have ever seen. All we remember was that she turned a corner leading to nothing but a dead end. I thought we had her because of how huge these walls were but by the time we turned the same corner she was gone. All there was was this really tall wall that was way too tall for anyone to climb with just their hands. Even Dante himself wouldn't be able to get over it by himself. To think we had her and then lose her really frustrated us all.

Donny~ Where did she go?

Rip~ We all saw her turn at this exact corner but she's nowhere to be found.

Twilight~ Rarity, you know this place better than all of us. Is there any way she could have gotten over that wall?

Rarity~ Not unless she was as tall as Dante with Donny's help there's no way she could have gotten over this wall. These walls in this neighborhood are huge and huge for a reason. For all I know she disappeared in nothing but thin air.

Sunset~ There's not an opening or anything?

Rarity~ Darling these are nothing but hard and painted cinder block walls. There is no opening.

Rainbow~ She couldn't have gotten far.

Pinkie Pie~ Maybe the knife she had gave her the ability to phase through walls.

Donny~ Can't be it, the knife is enchanted yeah but I know when I see a knife that grants anyone who holds it a power of any kind.

Pinkie Pie~ You can?

Donny~ I was a killer for well over ten years who had the ability to kill an entire city if I wanted to. I've seen lots of weird items that could have helped me but I turned them all down. I didn't believe in weapons at the time and I still don't. Also after everything we've been through from the very beginning, trust me when I say I've seen it all.

Rip~ Ok mister "I've seen it all" what the hell just happened here? How did she escape?

Donny~ All I can come up with is that she had some help on the other side of the wall but how exactly?

Twilight~ Let's just head back to Rarity's house. We have to deal with the fact that she's most likely long gone by now and doesn't plan on coming back any time soon.

Rarity~ Twilight's right, we'll be better off leaving Sweetie Belle alone for now.

Donny~ *sigh* Fine, let's head back.

Fluttershy~ I wonder where she ran off to.

Pinkie Pie~ Beats me, I'm just as clueless as everyone here.

Rarity~ Come on you two, as big as a neighborhood this is you could get lost.

Fluttershy~ We're coming.

After fifthteen minutes of walking we all finally made it back to my house. When we all entered we decided to sit in the living room and try to relax because of how tired we all were from chasing my sister. It didn't take long for Donny to show his anger. He raised his fist and banged it on one of the polished wood tables then stood up pasting back and forth.

Donny~ Rarity I'm sorry but what is up with your sister? Does she not know that she's getting herself into some hot water?

Rarity~ I'm sure she knows. But she has a habit of getting herself into situations that don't involve her.

Sunset~ It's important that we get that knife from her.

Rainbow~ Or maybe not.

Rip~ Rainbow?

Rainbow~ it's just, I understand that the knife is really important, and it's important to us but obviously it's important to Sweetie Belle as well. Think about it, she literally ran off with it to some unknown location making one of the most slick escapes anyone would ever see. It's obvious she has a strong desire to keep it safe like she said she wanted to do. Maybe Dante knew what he was doing when he gave her the knife.

Donny~ I understand where you're coming from but you and I know why we need to take that knife away from her. This could be the only clue we can get to finding out where Rose took the greatest person we all know and love.

Rip~ It's a top priority Rainbow. She can't have that knife. It doesn't get any more clear than that.

Rainbow~ I understand but what if Dante handed you something important and Sweetie Belle tried to take it from you? You would feel the same way she's feeling, won't you?

Twilight~ Rainbow you know why she can't have the knife so there is no point in trying to argue this.

Rainbow~ Somebody help me out here! We all know Dante and if he was to see what we're trying to do right now he would be furious with all of us. He had to have given the knife to Sweetie Belle for a reason. Come on girls… please.

Fluttershy~ I'm sorry Rainbow, but I'm with Twilight and the others.

Applejack~ Same I can't argue this even if I wanted to.

Rainbow~ Pinkie what about you? What do you think of this?

Pinkie Pie~ Well…

Rainbow brings herself to her knees in utter sadness. She then began to ball up her hands into fists and ran off the same way Sweetie Belle did.

Rip~ Rainbow!

Donny~ Don't… she's only gonna rebel against us.

Rarity~ Right now we need to find my sister. She could be anywhere right now and she's in possession of a dangerous weapon that can get her and anyone killed if it falls in the wrong hands.

Donny~ We're going to find her with or without Rainbow. I know she's your girlfriend and you care about her but there are some times when priority is more important than emotions.

Rip~ I know… it's just I don't want her to be alone in all of this...

Donny~ I promise you at the end of the day she'll come to her senses. Come on, let's head back out. Sweetie Belle could be anywhere in or out of the neighborhood and we need to search the entire area before we can search the outer area.

Rarity~ I'll check quadrant one with Applejack. Twilight will search quadrant two with Fluttershy. Rip you and Pinkie search quadrant number three and be careful that quadrant isn't the best to just be walking around. Donny and sunset will check quadrant four, that's the quadrant I live in so you shouldn't have that much trouble looking here.

Sunset~ Sounds like a plan to me.

Rarity~ Alright let's go find my sister.

Donny~ And an enchanted, purple-glowing, knife.

We all ran out of the house looking for Sweetie Belle. As her older sister I had to do everything I could to find her and make sure she makes it home safe. At this point anything could happen to her. She could get hurt, Rose could be coming after her and possibly want the knife back to give to Dante and force him to kill again or she could get into even more trouble than she probably already is. So many scenarios but all I want to happen is to have my sister in my arms as I hug her knowing she's safe. Wherever she is I'm going to find her and nothing will stop me.

Meanwhile with Sweetie Belle…

Sweetie Belle~ *phew* I lost them… good… where am I gonna go now? I promised to keep this knife safe but everyone else wants to take it from me. I don't know what to do. I tried calling Scootaloo but she isn't answering her phone and I can't go back home even if I wanted to. I'm only sixteen. Why did this have to happen to me? Why did I agree to this? Why did Dante think it was a good idea to give me this knife? It's not like I actually need it… the only reason I still have it is because I promised… What should I do?

Rainbow~ I think I know what you should do.

Sweetie Belle~ AHHHH!

Rainbow~ No! Don't run! I'm not gonna take the knife from you.

Sweetie Belle~ You aren't? Why?

Rainbow~ Because I understand why you are deciding to keep that knife instead of giving it up. Even though you barely know him you still decided to hold onto something that he wanted you to keep. It shows how determined you are to keep that promise.

Sweetie Belle~ He said I would need it more than him… what does that mean?

Rainbow~ Knowing him that would mean that his mother might come after you.

Sweetie Belle~ But he promised that he won't let her come after me. I can only imagine what he's going through right now… He was supposed to kill me but he refused in the end.

Rainbow~ Excuse my language but he's probably going through hell right now but trust me when I say it's not your fault. Dante knew what he was getting into when he spared you that night when he was supposed to kill you. I'm not saying it's his own fault because it's not. He didn't ask for any of this and neither did you.

Sweetie Belle~ I sure do feel like it's my fault…

Rainbow~ *sigh* Come on, let's go.

Sweetie Belle~ To where?

Rainbow~ The park, I can tell you're a little stressed out so I want to help calm you down.

Sweetie Belle~ What about that knife?

Rainbow~ Oh yeah here, I bought it before I came over here. It's supposed to be attached to your jeans and safe to keep the knife in.

Sweetie Belle~ Well this could work but wouldn't people be a little weirded out to see a sixteen year old girl with a knife to her waist? Also look at how big this knife is. I can put both my hands on the handle and treat it like a short sword.

Rainbow~ Trust me that's the last thing they should worry about. Come on, let's go.

Sweetie Belle~ If you say so.

Fast forward fifthteen minutes and we make it to the park. When we got there we grabbed a couple of cream cones for us to eat and sat down at the nearest bench together. I was glad that she didn't want to make me give up on my promise; it almost felt like she had her own experience with stuff like this.

Sweetie Belle~ Hey… Rainbow?

Rainbow~ What's up?

Sweetie Belle~ I feel like you're the only one who actually understands how I feel about giving up the knife. It's almost as if you were in my shoes once before.

Rainbow~ *sigh* yeah… I was.

Sweetie Belle~ Do you want to share what happened?

Rainbow~ Well sure, It was after me and the girls split up. I moved away and thought I was never coming back. When I moved into my new home my parents gave me something that I treasure to this day.

Sweetie Belle~ What was it?

Rainbow~ It was a bracelet that had weird markings on it. I didn't think much of it until I found out something that nearly turned my world upside down… I ended up finding out that my parents went missing.

Sweetie Belle~ How did you find out?

Rainbow~ They never came home when they left for an all adult party. The only reason why they were saved was because when they reached a dead end in the case the investigator asked to see my bracelet and it turned out the weird markings were there for a reason. The weird markings were a message to anyone that's looking to save them.

Sweetie Belle~ Why would they ask for your bracelet anyway?

Rainbow~ The investigator took a look at my bracelet long before that time he asked to see it a second time. Anyway apparently the reason we moved was because someone was watching them and my parents tried to leave along with me. The investigator tried to take the bracelet away from me because he wanted to use it as evidence in court but I snatched it from him.

Sweetie Belle~ Why did you do it? It was the ticket to saving your parents.

Rainbow~ I promised them that I would keep it safe and to not turn it into anyone no matter what. The only way that bracelet was going anywhere was if I was going with it. Anyway after we had it decoded we found out where they were and who kidnapped them. They were in an abandoned house by an old hospital and the person who kidnapped them was an old coworker that my dad fired from long ago.

Sweetie Belle~ Why did he do it? Why did he kidnap your parents?

Rainbow~ He wanted revenge on my dad for firing him after my dad confronted him in front of everyone at work for trying to offer umm… "things" to his assistant.

Sweetie Belle~ Things?

Rainbow~ Trust me Rarity will explain when you're older. Anyway we found my parents and the kidnapper got arrested and charged with kidnapping and attempt of murder with no bond or parole. He's still in prison as we speak.

Sweetie Belle~ I'm guessing after all of that your life pretty much went back to normal.

Rainbow~ Yeah pretty much and it's like you said I was once in your shoes. That's why I'm not making you give up the knife because I know how important it is to you.

Sweetie Belle~ Wow… maybe if the others heard what you told me then maybe they'll let me keep it.

Rainbow~ They won't, trust me. All they're worried about is you and your safety and I understand why they would. Can I ask you a couple questions?

Sweetie Belle~ Yeah sure, what are they?

Rainbow~ What are you gonna do when you get back home and just how important is the knife to you? Because I have a general understanding of how important it is.

Sweetie Belle~ Oh umm… even though I don't know Dante as much as you do, I wanted to hold on to his knife because I know he doesn't want it anymore… especially after what he did with it…

Rainbow~ What did he do?

Sweetie Belle~ He killed someone with it… and it wasn't by choice.

Rainbow~ Do you know who he killed?

Sweetie Belle~ He didn't say, but I could tell he wasn't proud of what he did…

Rainbow~ Knowing him, I know he's not proud of it. Why else is the knife important to you?

Sweetie Belle~ I was in the same room as him for less than fifthteen minutes Rainbow. That's all it took for me to see what he really was. He's not a killer, he's not a savage, and he's not heartless. He's the complete opposite of that. I look at this knife and I see pain, sorrow, and emptiness. It's almost like it's a cry for help… from Dante himself. That's why I want to keep it safe because I feel like I can help him one day. Just like how his brother wants to help him.

Rainbow~ Wow, for a sixteen year old, you're not bad at expressing how you feel about certain things. It's almost like you've been in this position before.

Sweetie Belle~ Well maybe once before but that's not important.

Rainbow~ Right! Now we just have to get this recording to the others.

Sweetie Belle~ Recording?

Rainbow~ I figured you wouldn't go back and tell the others about how you feel so I recorded everything you said.

Sweetie Belle~ Wait so even if I choose not to go you can go back and… ugh!

Rainbow~ Letting you keep the knife is the best I can do for you, not going home however is something I can't allow you to do.

Sweetie Belle~ I can't go back, what if they take it from me…? I'll end up breaking my promise.

Rainbow~ You never know, maybe at least one of them had a change of heart or at least will have a change of heart if you tell them how you feel.

Sweetie Belle~ I don't know, I mean the last time I tried to explain why I won't give it up it ended up with me running from them.

Rainbow~ Yeah I remember that and honestly you're lucky you managed to get away. Donny could have easily caught you. We lost you when you turned that corner leading to a dead end. Wait… how did you lose us anyway?

Sweetie Belle~ You must be trying to figure out how I got over the wall.

Rainbow~ Wait, you actually managed to get over it? How did you do it?

Sweetie Belle~ This might be a little surprising but I hang out with Scootaloo a lot and she's pretty athletic. She just loves to run on walls and jump over fences. I learned a few things from her and I used what I learned to get over the wall and it actually worked.

Rainbow~ Wow I didn't know she had it in her. In fact I didn't know you had it in you.

Sweetie Belle~ I didn't think so either but wow I still can't believe I did it. That took a lot of leg power.

Rainbow~ I bet it did, come on, let's go. I know you don't think it's the best idea but it's worth a try.

Sweetie Belle~ *sigh* Fine, I'll go back. Let's get going.

Rainbow~ Awesome!

Rainbow and I got up and started to head back to my house where my sister is most likely crying and hoping nothing happened to me. I wouldn't be surprised if she lashes out on me for what I did. I kept a secret from her and lied to her as I was trying to keep a secret from her. Not to mention I took something that she didn't want me to keep and ran off with it. No doubt I'm in big trouble when I get home.
