Have any of you ever confessed your feelings to your crush only to get turned down? 

Well, that's happened to me not once, not twice but three times. 

In middle school, I confessed to the first boy I ever loved and was horribly rejected. In my freshman year, the same happened and in my final year, the same thing occurred. 

Is this some sort of curse? Am I being punished for the wrongs I did in my past life? If so then I apologize to whatever higher being is listening!

Did I fail to mention that all three of the very same guys I loved and adored are my new stepbrothers?! 

Yeah, didn't see that coming did you? 

Well......neither did I.

Sitting at the lunch table the idle chatter of peers going on around the cafeteria sounded like muffled underwater sounds to my ears. I could barely even hear what Kat was talking about, all that registered was her lips moving as she went on about something or another.

Alison asked snapping her fingers in my face trying to get me back to the lunch table. Seizing my mindless fiddle with the straw of my drink I rapidly blinked my eyes to focus on the conversation.

"You sure? You've been acting really weird lately"

Kat asked, her brows knit together in concern.

Ally added with a roll of her eyes. Kat gave her a look and the girl shrugged her shoulders.

"It's nothing really. What were you talking about?"
