A lesson in disappointment

Climbing the stairs to my room I cracked my neck in pain. I was beyond exhausted, actually exhausted would not even cut it. I felt like death. Spending an entire almost two days sowing and cutting and pasting things together was not something to be taken lightly.

I owe that sew stress, who annoyed me when I was six an apology. Her job is not as easy as I had said it was back then.

"Addie, that you?"

I heard a soft voice call out. Half turning to look down I noticed a small shadow pacing around in the kitchen.

"Yeah?"

"Oh, great!"

Popping her head from behind the wall Gloria looked at me with a bright smile spread across her lips.

"Glad you're here. How was it at, Katherine, was it?"

"Uh, yeah. It was okay. We finally finished sowing together our outfits for the festival"

"Oh, wow that's fantastic!"
