Entering capital with grandeur

Soon they reached the capital gates, the guards already aware of their oncoming dare not to obstruct or question them.

Seeing exquisite carriages compared equal to royal procession they warmly welcomed them.

Behind the entrance was Great general yan and minister above 2nd rank including prime minister zhou with the current president of physician association standing in rows to welcome them.

Giving salutation everyone kneeled on one knee..

"Great general yan greets esteem Lord and elders of the medicine valley. Emperor has expressed sincere regrets for being unable to welcome you due to kingdom matters, but has also expressed high anticipation on meeting you at tonight's banquet and promised to personally welcome you at the palace hall."

As he finished zhu geng went ahead " Our Lord and elders has warmly received your welcoming, and because of unavoidable circumstances have expressed sincere regrets for not being able to meet with the great one the holy emperor after entering the capital, and with the same sentiments awaits tonight's banquet"....

Though sounded like wonderful exchange in the ears of commoners but for the learned ones it was just showing their might, and subtly testing each other.

The actual thing general expressed was " I am the emperor thousands below none above, so coming till the gates to welcome does not match my status, but because of the talent and weight your name carries in all four countries I by welcoming you will warn others of your status for you not to be slighted."

Similarly zhu geng with his own twist of words implied " I lord of the valley and the elders didn't come to meet you hence you not showing means nothing for us, but because you showed your goodwill I will be then your guest tonight."

All the ministers and the general understood this but would have to humbly maintain their posture and even smile even if the one passing the message is just a steward.

Who told them to be so talented that even not needing to bow to emperor? After all anyone could be sick and may have to scrape at medicine valley doors,

Thinking this everyone smiled nodding their head at each word of zhu geng, trying to boot lick through behavior so he could put some words in his masters ears.

Though steward he clearly had the same air of personal eunuch of emperor, making all of them clear and cautious that medicine valley is the same or might even have become more dangerous, than before.

After letting through their carriage first others also returned. While in the streets there were lots of people crowded to look at these exquisite carriage and if possible to see the great personage who even emperor reverred to.

Soon all the carriages moved, all flanked by the guards of valley left and right who had killer aura, eyes like hawk preventing anyone near the carriage.

The posture and aura made all the people that had crowded leave enough space for the carriage to pass through without any hindrance and became happy by just looking at these grand carriages.
