Hearty lunch, troubled emotions

The table was prepared with plentiful of dishes, everyone sat down, Junqi squeezed herself beside

Yusheng introducing the dishes she had prepared for her, fishing for the compliment...

Yusheng as usual picked the dishes by her personal chopsticks and started to eat. Junqi time and then would pass her some dishes in Yusheng's bowl using serving chopsticks. Yusheng would also pass some onto Junqi's bowl complimenting some dishes. Thus only Yusheng and Junqi were the one who ate with gusto.

While others were too shocked and numbed to feel the actual taste of the dishes. The ladies were more or less able to, but for the males it was totally tasteless as their mind and heart was on the thing Yusheng had mentioned rather than eating.

Yusheng had clearly implied them that she was supporting the emperor, which also means she is supporting second prince qinwang sheng. With the hidden support of Yusheng the battle for the title of crown prince is now going to fall to qinwang, unless the emperor changes his heir, which is impossible as the entire court knows the heavy favor towards qinwang.

If not for being injured qinwang would have been titled as the crown prince, but because of emperor's favor he had pushed over the title issue time and again resulting a stalemate situation.

Everyone knew it would not be far for the situation to take a violent form, as every faction has started to sharpen their weapons. Indeed as Yusheng had mentioned having the control over second largest army general yan was in midst of this battle.

Each faction eyeing and trying to pull him in their wings but beacause of being pure monarchist they had not started anything yet. But there will reach a time where unknown to emperor and himself he would may land in situation where forced to pick sides.

But today Yusheng had hinted him that he would not land in such situation, basically now the yan family was under protection of Yusheng and free from the court battle.

Though they were now in a safe zone there heart still trembled, learning that though just 8 years old she had the insight and enough courage to change the entire outcome of a battle that was yet to commence.

They also felt pity towards all the third prince faction who were just wasting all their mind and energy only to be a dancing clown, while felt envious of qinwang who simply had a pie fallen in his lap.

Though they knew it was indeed a right choice to put qinwang on that seat but still to gain such strong companion without investing any energy was as.. tch .. tch. Must have saved a god in his past life thought all the males.

While they were lost in thoughts lunch had ended. Junqi was chirping about the best places and restaurants of capital. Also who and the places where her enemy gathered. According to her Yusheng learned Junqi had few friends.

Soon Yusheng expressed to leave as she had some unfinished business. Before leaving she passed another token to Junqi... "this is the token for Xiu restaurant you can enter anytime you want by showing this token and will have a vip treatment and good discount."

Each one really wanted to snatch that token, Xiu was the restaurant where the banquet for association was held and currently the most popular restaurant of the capital. Junqi was so happy that she had her eyes stretched to nearly a thin line, her smile reaching her ears.

"In return gift this lord wants you to reach to peak of fire domain in this five years. By the time you reach 15 you should also have reached the peak of fire domain".. said Yusheng while Junqi was nodding her head furiously.

With General yan beside her she went towards her carriage... before stepping inside she looked to the adults behind her and with a gentle smile..

Though the carriage had left their view all the adults were still looking towards the direction of the carriage. They felt a pinch in their heart after listening to Yusheng's last parting words. It made them realize though reverred by all Yusheng was still a young girl.

It would definitely not have been easy to reach where she was at present, and to have such a mountain of responsibility on her shoulders named medicine valley she didn't have a normal childhood. Indeed she matured to early to enjoy bits and pieces of fun in life, one would always crave what they don't have.

They knew she wanted other children specially for Junqi to grow with all these little colors in life which she craved but cannot give into. Sighing inside they went back to their residence to discuss and check back on commander yan.
