He seemed to be a good man with no knowledge towards herbs. His strength was average so he didn't pose as a possible threat for us.

To repay his ancestors favor we allowed him to stay as a guest, but he rather work than to live free. So he soon started to work on the herb field. Beside that he would help in other small works, he was very friendly with everyone polite and respectful to servant or the masters.

Soon he was liked and known by everyone. And the disciple who brought him seemed to have formed romantic relation with him.

He was a fast learner hence knowing his intelligence we also allowed him to learn about poison and herbs for his future prospects and safety. He promise to only use the knowledge for his and his family protection even married our disciple.

Everything went well until at the beginning of the third year the disciple who married him died during child birth along with the child. Then he seemed to have become soulless person and left the sect for the sect had him restless due to the good and bad memories.

As it was not our intention to have him in the sect for forever we allowed him to leave to live a good life. By the third month of his leaving our disciple in charge of poisonous herbs reported us that several of devil smells seemed to have been missing.

First we just thought of having it misplaced untill the third elder reported to having lost the method of his pill. The pill was none other than death in sleep or also named as beautiful death.

The only person who was close to the method beside the third elder was his disciple the very same women who passed away during her labor and wife of that man.

Upon more investigation we learnt that the possibility of her difficult labor was none as she was very healthy and the labor seemed to have shifted a month earlier.

To prove the theory we dug out the body and indeed found traces of labor inducing medicine with blood thinning pills which will result to early labor and heavy bleeding, a sure shot to kill both mother and the baby.

Then we send people to the place he had mentioned to check but soon was returned empty handed. There was no such person or clan that he had mentioned everything was totally fake to fool us.

But even after some years we didn't hear anything related to the poison, we made sure to keep an eye on underground market to see if it will appear but it didn't. With no way we hushed the matter to hide the shame from the world.

Also don't know for what his true intention were the part of him being poisoned is true. Though his face may change, but the marks left behind the flesh eating pill on his arms and legs can never be removed unless hua tuo or you cure him.

The flesh eating pill was already very deep when we started to cure him so even though he was cured the smell of blood root has deeply seeped in his nerves and bone.

If you are to be near the person even if fully clothed or had perfumes and satchet to hide the smell with the help of dew root you will be able to recognize him.

Your lordship, that pill was yet to be completed and as you have already noticed is very unstable. We of poison sect though make poisons never had we passed an incomplete poison to anyone.

Though our poisons are brought from underground market and have been used by various people, we wouldn't be so brazen to support or get involved in matters related to emperor or the battle of throne.
