15- Harry Potter?

"Well what are you doing on the floor for then?" I heard a strange voice call out to me.

"Well I didn't do it on purpose did I" I said sarcastically. He grabbed my trunk as I held snowball in my hands as I stepped onto the bus. She was wriggling so I just whispered to her calming her down. She seemed to understand me when I spoke to her. So did the other animals, such as the birds and the rabbits I would often see in the garden. I must ask Dumbledore when I get to hogwarts. I must've zoned out or something because suddenly a pair of arms where shaking me.

"Well are you going to sit down or not?" The same voice called out to me. He was called Stan something, his surname was scratched off of his name sticker. I quickly walked down to sit on the seat. All sadness left my body when I saw a certain raven haired boy with sharp green eyes.

"Harry?" I questioned as I walked over to him. I don't think he knew what to say, he sort of just stared at me not knowing what to do. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. As he couldn't speak he just decided to hug me. I stood stiff for a second before I pulled away. No one had hugged me for a year. I was so used to being pushed around and kind of forgot how to let people embrace me. Harry could see that I was upset but didn't say anything. I just sat next to him stroking snowball whilst she slept in my arms.

Stan has just explained to me about Sirius Black and how he had escaped from Azkaban. I was so deep in thought I hardly noticed when a girl called my name. I looked up to see Holly. Why was she here. She hadn't returned to hogwarts for the whole year, she didn't even write to us or anything. Not even to me. We asked Dumbledore many times about where she was but Dumbledore just simply said that she was fine. She had cuts and scars all over her. And she had a cat in her arms. This wasn't the same bubbly girl I used to know. She had changed. I tried to speak but no words came out. Come on Harry, she's your best friend say something. When I realised that nothing was coming out of my mouth any time soon. I just stood up and wrapped my arms round her. God I had missed her. But she didn't hug me back which greatly surprised me, she just stiffened. She looked scared, I just sat down gesturing at the seat beside me so she could sit.

"Where have you been Holly?" I softly said after a long silence. She explained how her mother didn't allow her to come back to hogwarts last year and how she was treated like a slave and how she ran away from home. This made me extremely angry. I could see that tears were starting to form in her eyes. So I put a hand on her arm. She winced her arm away as if I was hurting her. Why was she not allowing me to comfort her.

"Hey, you don't have to tell me but where did you get this scar from Holly?" I quietly whispered pointing to the long scar on her face.

"Oh." She breathed, "well this was tonight actually, I hadn't cleaned the house properly and she didn't like it one bit. She stormed into my room with a knife clutched in her hand. And well you can tell what happened next." She was crying now but she didn't lean into me or anything just held her cat in her hands and placed her head in its fur.

"And who's this little guy?" I asked stroking the cat.

"Oh this is snowball. She found me one day. I wasn't allowed to keep mystic as she now lives at the Weasley's so she's the only friend that I've had this whole year. It's also why I couldn't send you letters. I didn't even get to read yours either my mother either tore them up or threw them in the fire." I was now no longer angry I was upset. My best friend had suffered this her whole year, Ron Hermione and I just complained about her that she didn't care about us anymore. But it was completely different, her complexion had changed greatly. Her once bright blue eyes had changed into sunken holes that you could see no emotion through. She was so thin, she obviously hadn't eaten in forever. Scars covering her body, showing her abusive home. It made me so sad to see her like this. But I had to be strong, for the both of us. We sat in silence for a while until she finally spoke up.

"Hey harry, where exactly can I go, I don't even have any money?" She had been like me didn't think about where she was going to go, she just left.

"Well,"I started "I will pay for your bus ticket and you can come to the leaky cauldron with me." She didn't say anything except from thank you. It killed me to see my best friend so broken.

Harry agreed to pay for my bus ticket, which I greatly appreciated. I didn't even think about money or anything when I left. He also offered that I could stay with him at the leaky cauldron. I could tell that Harry was worried about me, Im worried about me to. I'm broken, I'm not the same girl I used to be. My life is a mess. I was exhausted but I had gotten used to no sleeping, I was scared to sleep because of my nightmares. I never used to get nightmares before but since I moved back with my mother, well if I can even call her that, my nightmares weren't your usual night terrors. They felt so real, almost like memories. I would wake up with headaches that caused me so much pain and my whole body would ache. The only thing that could help me to sleep was snowball, it was like when she was near me every worry would just disappear. I couldn't remember the last time I smiled until today. Harry told me why he left and that he blew up his aunt. I didn't laugh although a smile seemed to be enough for him. We sat in silence until we reached our stop. I told snowball to go inside the building and keep hidden until I came in. She nodded as she understood me. Harry just stared at me waiting for me to explain. I just told him that I would explain later.

I wasn't really paying much attention to the conversation that was happening between Fudge and Harry as I was nearly passing out on the spot. I was so tired but I couldn't sleep I was scared to sleep. I was pulled back into reality when harry was telling me that we would be allowed to spend the remainder of the summer at the burrow and we would return to school. I was supposed to be happy but it was like all the happiness was just sucked out of me. I showed a fake smile as we apperated to the burrow. I didn't let go of snowball anytime as I knew that when I did I would panic. Snowball was the only thing keeping me sane in this moment. I felt even more dizzy as we arrived at the burrow. But harry caught me. I quickly pulled out of his arms keeping to myself. All I could see was Mrs Weasley rush out of the door.
