"I remember having a lot of difficulties fighting against hordes of enemies, I simply couldn't get it right at the start. I was always such a pussy, such ballless bastard, it took me quite some time to understand how to fight against overwhelming numbers, you need to get close and personal, close enough that a swing of a sword from your enemy has more chances of injuring his ally than you, close enough that shooting an arrow or spell at you is too risky to their allies."~Alt Jin Book: How to show that Sun Tzu was just a noob~

"When you are close you need to act more like an instinct-driven beast than a refined swordsman, your technique's usefulness reduces considerably when you are simply too close to your enemies because you don't need to fear missing them so close. That doesn't mean techniques are useless, that was never the case in the first place, what I also want to say si that even a clueless hobo is dangerous when he is too close."~Alt Jin book: Murder Hobos are a thing you know?~

Without missing a bit I immediately plunged into the undead group, my times on being overly cautious have come to an end, and I am quite fine about it. This feels like some kind of freedom I never experienced in the first place, I finally felt unbound by outside and inside.

This lightness on my heart appears to be the exact correct decision because the moment I decided on it, I felt lighter, my [Ki] flowed like a raging river, power coursed through my veins like never before. I suddenly felt like I was on top of the world, flying among the clouds and looking at the ground where the monkey play with their toothpicks... where the fuck did that come from? I don't-

*Crack*

It appears that now is not the time to completely overanalyze what the fuck my crazy mind has come up with. Looking at the shitty Zombie that has just parried my slash I felt slightly embarrassed, all that build up just for me to fail miserably at the end. Fuck.

Filling my saber with [Wave] I spun on my own axis delivering a wide slash towards everyone on my range. Three skeletons immediately were bisected becoming ashes, but the other two zombies close to me were able to defend my slash in time, sadly for them their swords were of very poor quality, and my Saber was filled with [Wave] meaning with just this exchange their swords nearly broke.

Without missing a beat I used [Evade step] to outmaneuver both zombies and Skeletons, and went for the remaining archers. With another burst of speed, I used [Advance step] and immediately reached close to the archers' position.

I immediately slashed forwards my saber easily bisecting two archers in half. Seeing as I haven't recovered from my swing I immediately sent a roundhouse kick towards the closest skeleton, but this roundhouse kick was special as I was using [Focus Stomp].

Thankfully this time due to my previous experience with the skill my kick wasn't as atrocious as before, meaning it was way more focused on my target a Skeleton who bore the full brunt of my attack, the skeleton ribcage immediately cracked and broke, but the cracks looked like pure magma from the inside, meaning that [Wave] has done its job and the skeleton soon will become ashes.

Right now there are only 6 skeletons alive, 5 swordsmen, and 1 archer. Seeing the other archer has distanced himself from me I decided to change targets. With clever use of [Advance Step], I approached the other two zombies whose weapons I damaged previously.

With a swift swing of my saber filled with [Wave], I tried yet again to cut them in half. Unfortunately, their weapons were able to hold the damage, but without missing a beat I attacked yet again aiming for the same place, their weapons are now extremely cracked and they look like they would break at any minute.

Seeing that there aren't any enemies that close to attacking me yet I continued my assault and slashed at the zombies a third time. This time my saber hit them like a truck, immediately breaking their swords in quick succession.

Bits and pieces of metal fell to the ground with what should've been a loud noise. But thanks to the incessant chanting in the background I barely heard it. The moment the undead faltered I saw a huge opportunity, for some reason or the other a lot of undead aligned themselves in a straight line.

Five zombies and four skeleton swordsmen were all aligned in a straight line that made me grin in anticipation. Jumping in the air to create more momentum I spun on my axis until I found the perfect position, and then I tossed my saber filled with [Wave].

My Saber filled with [Wave] traveled through the air like an extremely lethal fan cutting in half every one of those undeads that were in line, and thanks to the effects of [Wave] all of that nine undead became ashes. So right now there are only five zombies and one skeleton archer.

But to my disadvantage one of the zombies was at my side with his broken straight sword already lunging at me. I would've been at a severe disadvantage if I was a normal cultivator in this situation, but thanks to [Wave] I can be considered the nemesis to undeads and the creatures of the night.

Before the undead was able to touch me I simply sent a [Soul-Crushing Strike] in his direction, I specifically aimed at a gap in his armor so my attack indeed connected with his rotten flesh immediately pulverizing and melting it thanks to [Wave], the undead ended up falling into me but due to wave he had already become ashes, sadly his ashes ended up covering my body and giving my clothes a rotten undead smell. Right now there is only four zombies and only one skeleton archer, I better-

*Pak*

While I was distracted an arrow managed to hit me in one of my blind spots, thankfully I was wearing armor and the arrow didn't have enough strength to penetrate it. But I know it was my fault for getting hit like this.

But before I could do anything, the last five zombies arrived, but these zombies were different, they are special. They are patchwork zombies of fairly good quality, adorning good quality armor, and weapons, but that by itself is not a problem, the problem is that these five patchwork zombies can use [Ki].

*Roooooooooar*

Following the five full plated patchwork zombies are none other than a Flesh Golem, and as if to add even more salt to the wound behind the flash golem were three necromancers using the typical necromancer's robes of their cult.

My situation looks pretty grim right now, not only there is an archer sending arrows towards me, there are now three more ranged enemies in the form of three mages that appeared. I was already expecting some mages to appear due to the voices I've heard as soon as I arrived, but I guess I had a little bit of hope they would continue with their wave patterns to allow me to eliminate them one by one, guess I've finally run out of luck huh.

1 Flesh golem, 5 heavily armed patchwork zombies that can use [Ki], 1 archer, 4 zombies, and 3 necromancers. Yeah, this looks like a pretty hopeless situation to the current me. Guess I was being simply too arrogant in thinking I can easily deal with everything by myself without having to sacrifice something.

The flesh Golem looked really, really ugly and disgusting. It was like someone put an amalgamation of flesh together in the way it looked the ugliest, the flesh also keeps pulsating with different sickly colors, the smell the golem radiates is putrid and rotten, a lesser man would've vomited by just being close to it. The golem was also big and chunky, it had roughly the shape of a humanoid gorilla, with giant and large arms, its height easily exceeded 4 meters of height showing this giant monster is no joke.

The five Patchwork zombies immediately started circulating their [Ki], and with a burst of speed, they advanced towards me weapons drawn. The flesh golem immediately followed suit, its steps carrying enough weight and power to make the ground tremble.

The 3 necromancers whiteout missing a bit also attacked, launching spell towards my big and muscled form. The rightmost necromancer sent an icicle towards me, the one in the middle was using a simple lightning spell, and the leftmost one also sent me an icicle.

For all intents and purposes all these enemies, all these attacks should've been a death sentence towards me. Sadly for my enemies, I have more than one trump card.

I searched in my memories, digging deep and without faltering, trying to find that memory that awakens deep emotions inside of myself, that memory with so many cursed emotions, so much negativity, so much HATE.

I hated it. Every. Single. Second. Of. It. And I hated these bastards even more for making me have to use it, I hated them with a passion only inferior to the hate I have for Kaiser. But I knew I can't normally defeat them. So I am going to have to use it, to use my [Fury].

All uses of my [Fury] until now have been absolutely accidental, their triggers some pretty heavy and intense emotional situations. But I know exactly how to activate my [Fury], how to use this terrifying destructive power. I need emotions, heavy emotions, and I have to use them as fuel. This is something extremely risky, the chances of me being lost to madness due to the overwhelming negative emotions are extremely high, high enough to be the expected turn of events. But unfortunately, that is the only way right now.

*Drip*

I finally found it, that memory, that nightmarish memory, the memory that haunts my dreams to this day without exception. My mother's severed head.

*Rage*

*Sadness*

*Despair*

*Hate*

*[Fury]*

All those emotions flashed inside of my mind quickly consuming my sanity and mental health. Purple flames flooded my veins like high pressurized hot magma. My body felt hot, incredibly hot, it was like I was melting from the inside out. If it is like this the undead feel when hit by [Wave] I can understand their desire to simply become ashes.

My scars lit up and started to shine a bright purple color making me look like some kind of macabre Christmas tree. Slowly a purple light akin to flames surrounded my body, making me look like the desert version of Sieghart.

My shining red eyes, which until now were lazily spinning while dealing with the previous enemies started to morph into a different and more powerful form. Three black straight lines into a sea of crimson finished forming, my [Mangekyo Sharingan] was going to see the light once again.

When all the undeads and the necromancers saw the changes in the enemy before them, they couldn't help but feel a terrifying chill on their spines, they felt like a dragon was stroking their backs with the tips of his claws. And the ghost image of the head of a dragon appearing behind their enemy only made things worse.
