Chapter 25

Katherina Blackwood's POV

I was over the moon that I'm finally home and almost forget about Luca and the amount of time I dwelled in crying and thinking. This feels right, and even though a nagging part of me misses Luca, I was happy to see my family and nothing ever felt as best as this. The whole day was spent with Ara, and my parents who were deeply worried about me and wanted to talk, but I wanted this peace and happiness before going back to my brooding self.

It felt good to see Ara carefree and fine, because the last time I saw her, she was weak due to what Luca did to her with an ugly shade of bruise at the back of her neck. We watered the plants in the garden and played in the lake by the side before it started to pour down in the evening and we went back to the cottage.
