Second but one

As they moved up the river, the scenery was at once familiar and different. 

Familiar in the way she keeps seeing the same flora as she has seen in her own dry and cold region. Unfamiliar, for there are so many different palms she hasn't seen. 

The first time she cast Identify, she was shocked. 

There was a really ugly looking palm, with its entire crown full of wormy looking things. 

Fat worm Palm: Male tree of the fruiting fat worm palm. The males are active for two days a year generating orange colored pollen. 

Once the two days are through, the pollen will lose its effectiveness. The worms are plucked off the male tree, eaten as vegetables. 

They are considered quite the delicacy, and in some cases, even a cure for virility. 

Jiushu shook her head. 

Even if it's only a plant, to pluck off and fry the little worms as soon as they have done their work!  Too sad!
