Hold on

I strutted off into the distance with a smile plastered on my face.

I probably look like a phyco right now. I should stop smiling. It's creepy.

Soon enough, I reached a remote area of the city. As I walked past a building, I tasted a wiff of smoke as it wafered it's way up my nostrils. That in its self, set of an 'no-no' alarm in my head.

Without questioning further, I ran into the big rundown apartment building following the smoke, I ended up in front of an apartment door on the 15 floor. The smoke was extremely thick, making it almost impossible to keep my eyes open and see in front of me. My breathing was already uneasy due to running up so many fights of stairs. I couldn't wait any longer, I needed to get in there and see if there's someone in trouble.

"Arrgghh!" I screamed as my wings spurted out of my back, ripping my clothes and skin in the proses. My eyes melted the contacts in them and my teeth produced a sudden pain in my mouth.

This is not the time to be a dentist!

I warned my self before bursting the door off it's hinges and I flying in. As my wings flapped the smoke away from my majestical body. Only to reveal a dark hooded figure with horns and black wings hovering over a corpse covered in blood.

I noticed me and zoomed out the window, lighting everything it touched in purple flames.

A demon?! Why is a demon here? They don't kill humans, only take there souls.

I rushed to the corpse laying on the ground on its side. Their blood was still gushing out of there freshly moulded wounds. I went to touch it, to turn it over but pulled back instantly when in started to move.

"You're still alive!" I exclaimed in complete and utter disbelief as the wounded indavidual turned on their back with grunt and goans escaping their mouth. They were wearing a bright red hoodie, light blue, high waisted, ripped jeans and black sneakers with a small black leather handbag half draped around their neck. Their hair was tied up and a hood could be seen. Their attire was covered in scarlet spotches and black dust.

"H-hair." They mangers to gasp. Their voice was quiet l, shaky and weak. Looking up, I could see that their ponytail was covering their face. So I removed it. But was I saw next was something I wasn't prepared for.

There, in front of me, lay....
