I sheild my gaze from the sun as I watched my warriors work hard to help Gert set up the market place, there were many stalls being set up and even things being redecorated to match the buildings new outside image. Even though for now the buildings or stalls have no owners this was just the beginning, next after the port is made, we'll start on making the fieff and a banking system. That way the market is ready to make money. I can also be ready to use the gold to start having goods shipped, but before that I need to open a few stores that could make me more money. I do have a massive amount of gold but it could run out with all the rebuilding we have to do.
If Castian doesn't make it back in a few more days I might have to get "that" guy's help. I really don't want to do that, but he would be useful for these types of things, "this is really starting to look like a real live market, I'm so Psyched." Brim says as she walks over and plops down on the ground. I take a sip of chilled tea prepared by Lexor, "I agree, and I get to sit back to relax when I get tired." I say. Brim pouts, but I can tell she's having fun, "it's done, and there's plenty of room for merchants who have their own stalls as well." Gert walks over and stands beside Brim. "Man I'm beat, is there anymore tea left?" Femur ask as he perched himself on a nearby rail.
"It's already late afternoon, I feel that we can wrap up for the night and come back to work on the roads, they're pretty worn." Gert says as he scuffs his show on the worn road beneath his feet. "After that I'll make plans on Market prices for merchants, if they wish to set up shop here they need to follow the rules." I say jotting this down on the pad Lexor hands me. "I was thinking that collecting a bit of taxes would help the city flourish even more, but of course making it fair depending on status is a must." Mangola points out. Rock turns to her in shock, "did I say something wrong?" she ask. he shakes his head, normally having a clever thought like that wouldn't come from Mangola. "Just surprised is all." Rock says.
"I think that is great ideas, now I want to explain another plan. I was thinking how women likes pretty smells, I want to use the port to start importing some goods from three kingdoms. Lexor that's where you come in, your job as a Chancellor will finally come in handy." I say. He straightens and wirtes down what Iexplain to him, "so I have to get these three Kingdoms willing to trade with us? How do I do that, I work for a former villainess known as the Red Demon Queen." He asks. I wag my finger at him, "that's easy, offer them shares of trade good value, if the trade with us we give them equal trade, in our case no more than 30% interest." I point out. He nods, "Yes My Queen." He bows and leaves like a flash.
Mangola sits up in an instant, "hey did he just teleport?" Her face turns puffy, "He did." Rock says staring at the place Lexor stood a second ago. "Doesn't that mean he would have done better in chacking out those kingdoms than I would?" She asks. I stand and stretch, "Ah, that's true but it would have taken him longer to get back. Also, you volunteered, right?" Brim ask as they too stood. "Man I'm starved, we should eat the lunches Lexor packed, man he may be a Chancellor, Chef, and maid all in one. That guy needs a break." Femur says as he digs into the carriage and pulls out the basket Lexor made. Gert nods in agreement as he too began to eat, "Ah man but these sandwiches he made are so delish, I doubt anyone can top him." Brim says her face lighting up as she took a bite from a perfectly made trianglur ham sandwich, "mmm, so good." She says.
"After this we should finish up the roads, I want to say we doo really well." I say also eating. "By the way instead of my Queen, or Your Majesty...why not start calling me Queen Ranessa?" I ask. "Really? You really did change Your...I mean Queen Ranessa." Mangola says with a soft melodic giggle. I guess I did, I rather treat them as friends and family instead of mindless warriors that are controlled. Being reincarnated so many times will do that, though it took my hundreth time to finally get it. "Let's get back to work." Brim says as shys as we were just finishing our food. The rest of the day we went to work on finishing up the newly rebuilt city, it no longer looked worn, with fresh new roads and vacant but beautiful buildings it looked amazing.
And I'm sure it will look even more amazing with citizens loyal to me, "instead of Red Demon Queen, shouldn't it be Golden Dragon Queen or something?" Brim points out. The conversation ended up being what my new nickname should be that night, though I think that could be pushed to the side.
