I'll See You Again

Stupid. Marissa berated herself inwardly as she thought back on what she did last night. That was a mistake. She should have been more careful. Yet, she could still apologize and hope that Herriot was still a tad gullible to her ways. He must have seen through what she wanted to do, but there's no way he wouldn't just brush her off every time, right? She remembered the way Herriot looked at her that very day they met.

As long as those eyes still stood, she might have a chance to correct her mistake.

However, how was she supposed to open the conversation without sounding like a fool? Knock. Her hand barely landed on the door when she took it back. She picked up the edges of her braided hair and fiddled with it as she chose among the approaches she had in mind.

"Ma… Lady Wessel, you shouldn't be seeing me late at night… again..." Herriot hissed as he took a look at the woman in her black sleeping robe.
