The cold winds had blown into the gaps of the window. Herriot was still nursing a rather painful sting on his chest that he suffered from earlier. Clarissa and Rumina must have barely felt it, but they were only inconvenienced. However, the prince had to excuse himself from the dining table.

It was a rather late supper since they had just reached this inn in the next duchy that they would pass. He actually even passed out in pain earlier. He just woke up minutes before, and he thought of whether to open the window or not. The wind had gotten rather cold, but he really needed to breathe in the fresh air.

They were in an inn so there was no way Marissa would try to do something here. However, he still heard knocking on his door. The prince growled and wore a frown. He was getting really tired of the bothering. As he opened the door slowly, he huffed lowly. "Marissa, please. Stop bothering—"
