Accept the Compromise

Larkin didn't understand why Selvig said those words, but since the prince had excused himself quite abruptly, the archduke just returned to sitting down and watching the glass statue as long as it still stood.

As for the prince, Selvig wandered back to his tent. Before he could get inside, he already realized that someone was waiting for him to come back. The prince moved the flap and saw Geole chilling on the box that served as a seat and table. The demon servant's red eyes flicked in his direction, but Selvig only entered his tent just the same. "You really are brave, aren't you? I could only imagine what could have been your unfortunate ending should you provoked him instead." Geole watched the prince go to the side of his bed and collected a hardbound book from it. "You asked, you saw, you conquered… what are your thoughts on the archduke's monstrosity, Your Highness?"
