Madness and Brutality

Both Machiav and Larkin gasped almost soundlessly as the ice bolts rained down at them. The magic in them was so great that each had a very oppressive power that could stagger even those who were already strong. Machiav could move very fast so he could barely evade the rain of ice bolts. Each bolt that grazed against him inflicted a pain that would equate to momentary frostbite.

As for Larkin, he could only ask for mercy in evading those things. He wasn't a melee fighter that needed great speed. He was more of a sorcerer that conjured his attacks rather than delivering them. The archduke could move and evade, but he was very clear that he couldn't escape them. Bang! An ice bolt hit right in the chest!

However, nothing happened to him.
