Ambitious

Artie's eyes stayed gazing at Larkin's face. They were locked in such a long stare that Larkin frowned at her again. He then spoke, "You have not decided yet, have you?"

With a slight nod of her head, Larkin only hummed. It was indeed difficult to choose which one to pick for a position as such. Moreover, Artie didn't know much about all the members of the royal court. It's just that… even Larkin—who knew them—couldn't recommend anyone at all.

The angel then spoke, feeling that the nosebleed had stopped. "Actually, I asked Clarissa about it. She declined and pushed Callum to the spot." It wouldn't be a secret, and she wanted Larkin's input on it. Though she was ready to receive a glare as it would have meant not seeing his daughter—or daughters—for a very long time.

"...Clarissa doesn't seem to be a good candidate..." That was all that Larkin said after a long while of thinking. "No, sorry, she's even a very poor choice."
