In a world, where countless wars between angels and demons have been fought, humanity finally had enough and decided to free themselves of the shackles put upon them by the other races. Together with hybrids, children of demons/angels, they aim to overpower both angels and demons to bring peace for humanity.

Living in such a place, the demon hybrid girl Yoru tries to survive and just wants a comfortable life. But things aren’t so easy for an orphan who has to attend military school, which trains these hybrid children like Yoru to fight the other races.

This novel tells the story of how Yoru manages to stand on her own feet in this cruel world.

Celestial War

This chapter isn't story related and only aims to give you some of my own thoughts on the novel so far. Feel free to skip this. Basically final notes for the end of the volume. Will probably do these at the end of every volume.


I do enjoy reading these in other, real light novels, showing a further plan or giving a few thankful words.


And so I want to thank you for getting this far. I'm well aware that this novel is far from the best, but I could see how much my writing has grown by now. At some point I might even rewrite the first couple chapters to bring them up to quality. But not right now, since I really need to get into a better flow for writing and it would also further cripple my already wacky release rate.


Working full time and procrastinating as much as I do hinders the novel a lot. I could probably release daily, if I manage to get my mind to do it. But it tends to wander around, preferring watching youtube videos over writing.


But despite all of that, we still got here. First volume finished with around 60k words and 54 chapters. It actually turned out way better than I first expected. I'm making up a lot of stuff along the way, but I do have a general outline to the novel. Especially for now, things are easier this way. If I would get more serious I would have to create a full detailed outline for the whole thing.


This novel is like my training wheels. I want my writing to grow with the story, with the characters. 


So please, feel free to criticize my writing as much as you like. I do prefer feedback because with that, I can see where I have to improve myself on. 


Since this is released on Webnovel and most female lead stories do have some romance in them, I do think I will tackle on that genre as well in later parts of the novel. For now I want to keep it mostly focused on fantasy elements and the general story.


I'm experimenting quite a bit with the story, so plans might change and some plot points mentioned may or may not be addressed along the way. 


The following flaws which I'm aware of are planned to be addressed in volume 2:


-More building to side characters, story was mostly focused on Yoru/Iris until now


-Better description for characters to give them a more vivid feel. I always imagine the characters in my head when reading a book, but I don't think I myself describe them enough to be easily visualized


-better release schedule, at least more consistent (thinking on at least 2 chaps a week, on weekends
