Chapter 29: Soul sister

Haya's POV

Zaied just sat in the car while I took my bags out of the car's trunk. I guess he has returned to his old arrogant ways, I can not believe he did all that for me earlier because I found that expensive chip. I wonder what he is going to do with it, I honestly do not have a good feeling about it. I think I should remind him to throw it away again.

"I am done taking out my bags..." before I could finish my sentence the BMW M5 swiftly drove away.

"Was that your dad?" the most beautiful girl I have ever seen giggled. She had amazing long dreadlocks which looked fake but as I continued to scan her appearance I noticed they were real. She was wearing a brown dungaree with a white shirt and maroon Dr martens. She also had her bags with her but the only difference is that hers were Louis Vuitton suitcases. I guess she is from a rich family.

"Um hey!...am I disturbing you?" She snapped her fingers across my face.

"No, no you are not disturbing me. I am sorry I am just still stunned he decided to leave like that." I quickly returned to my senses.

"Lmao(Laughing my ass off) was that your dad?" she asked. She spoke very fluently, she seemed to be those chilled girls who are just letting life take its course. She did not look like the type to follow trends...she had her style and she looked very confident.

"What is L...amo?" I asked and she gave me a surprised look then started laughing out loud.

"It is Lmao...I like you already. My name is Zoe by the way." she extended her hand for a handshake I guess. I am surprised because people my age do not do handshakes, I like her already too.

"I am Haya, what does Lmao mean?" I asked while shaking hands with her.

"Let us walk together to the administration I will tell you everything you need to know since you will be attending here," she replied. I guess she is not a new student like I am.

On the way to the administration, she told me what Lmao means and it means laughing my ass off. I told her how I only know 'lol' which means laughing out loud. She seemed to be intrigued as I spoke to her...she was paying attention to everything I said and she kept throwing compliments my way. She said I am the most beautiful girl she has ever seen, I felt flattered because I think that she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.

"I am not going to be living here on campus." she suddenly said.

"Why? where are you going to be living? I am sad." I replied making a sad face.

I am disappointed right now because I thought we both would ask to be placed in the same dorm room but suddenly finding out she will not be living here makes me sad.

"You can come with me," she replied.

"I am confused...where are we going? I do not have money to pay for accommodation somewhere else, my bursary is paying for me to stay on campus." I replied.

"Relax, I was not done talking. My father owns a 5-star hotel in the hills. If you want we can both live there for free...please agree?!" she replied.

"Who? me? live in a 5-star hotel for free? I am sorry but Zoe I do not want to be a burden to you and your father. It is fine we can both meet up I mean we will be studying in the same place anyway." I replied.

Deep down I do want to go live with her obviously but I have just met her. I do not want to seem like I am a gold digger, I know she is offering but this is only my first day here and if I go with her I am going to feel very guilty. What am I even going to tell my mom?

"I know what you are probably thinking right now, you are thinking I am going to think you love money and the lavish lifestyle but I am the one offering you. I would love to have you as my roommate, I do not want to be bored. Only rich sophisticated families come there, I do not want to be the only normal person there...please Hayy. If you do not like it there I can always ask the receptionist to get you a nice dorm room she and I are pretty close." Zoe replied and the fact that she already has a nickname for me melted my heart. She just called me 'Hayy' and I love it!

"Okay fine I will go with you," I replied.

She did this weird robot celebratory dance I could not stop myself from laughing. I even joined in and everyone passing kept looking at us which made us burst into laughter then fell on the grass.

It has not been more than 30 minutes but I already like her so much. I do not feel the need to be someone else when I am with her, I guess that is why I am already so comfortable around her because usually, it takes a while for me to entirely be myself around certain individuals.

We went to the administration to get our course schedules then decided to request an Uber and headed to Zoe's father's Hotel. When we got there I felt my lungs closing up due to how overwhelmed I became, the view of that place was so beautiful and the building looked so exquisite. The name of the hotel is KRAVITZ in big bold golden letters. I guess that Zoe's surname is Kravitz it honestly just suits her.

Zoe is so different from all the rich girls I have met all of them are so boastful and bragging about how privileged they are but I could see Zoe was feeling so out of place when we entered the hotel. It was like her father did not own all of all, I guess with her there is more than what meets the eye.

The inside of the hotel was all white including the furniture except for the marble ceiling which caught my eye as we approached the receptionist. Zoe and my bags were immediately taken away from us by the butlers. Everyone who worked there greeted her like a princess they even called her to miss Zoe. You could see she did not feel comfortable at all, she kept repeatedly saying 'please you can just call me Zoe mam or sir.'

One of the workers took us to the presidential suite when we got inside I almost fainted but Zoe balanced me back on my feet.

"Hey Haya relax." she giggled.

"I am not used to all of this, I am just a girl from a township in Pretoria," I replied.

"You are from Pretoria, I'm always there in December. Diya bua darh(it goes down there)" she suddenly spoke in Pretoria slang.

I could not stop myself from laughing at the fact that she just said that.

"What is funny?" she asked holding back laughter.

"What you said does not suit you, it just did not come out right," I replied.

"Kwena darh(that is your problem not mine)" this time I could not hold back my laughter. I burst into tears and fell on the floor. She just looked at me giggling.

The worker finally left us after showing us the suite. It had a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, a movie room, and two bedrooms with their own bathrooms. It also had a balcony which had a jacuzzi.

I can not believe I am going to be staying here. It all feels surreal.
