Three

"Where do you come from?" Luna questioned the alien rejecting his obvious question from before.

The being turned its head hesitating to answer Luna's question, before caving in since she saved its life, "Onyx."

Luna snapped her gaze to meet his quickly, "Wasn't that planet hit by a meteor?"

The being sighed harshly before sitting next to Luna it's eyes lost and dark, "Yes it did, my people weren't as advanced for ships and such other things, we lived a simple life, one with the nature and glory of our planet- just before the meteor hit our world some of us we're taken, the weird aliens said we were like any other species they'd seen before, they said that other beings such as your pet- didn't have much complexity to them."

Luna took in every word he said but one question still lingered on her mind, "So what are you then?"

The being shrugged, "My name is Diezel, I am what we'd call a male my kind, the weird creatures called us Apraxia's, but our real species name is Dexurs, and you what might you be, you look quite like some of my species without the horns and a little less strong."

Luna quipped "Hey! I am strong"

Diezel chuckled and slapped his leg, "Sure little thing."

Luna sighed before tucking her knees underneath her chin and gazing off into space, literally "My name is Luna, I'm a trader, fixer and helper of the galaxies I guess.. I was chucked onto this ship at two years old, at two years you can image what it was like- I had no idea what was going on having to figure out everything by myself but I learnt and matured quickly, I hadn't seen anyone of my kind yet or like them until you, when I turned around the age of teenage years I found Max and it's been just him and me ever since..."

Luna stopped herself and turned to Diezel poking his arm in comfort "What is a male?"

Diezel twisted his head in confusion, "A male is a gender, you are a female meaning you have you know and I'm a male meaning I have a different- nevermind, anyway a male and female can fall in love or have children, it's the normal way for species like ours to repopulate."

Luna's mouth slammed shut, she was confused mostly because she thought there was only one kind of her species and that was the ones that bled every month and had mush on their chests.

She frowned softly looking at her hands.

Diezel patter her head softly "What's wrong little thing"

Luna sighed before pouting, "I only thought there was one type of species like me with mush chests and bleeding months."

Diezel laughed, his chest bellowing as he chucked hysterically.

Luna rolled her eyes before slapping him playfully on the arm and getting up, as she stretched and yawned she spoke to Diezel, "Where would you like me to drop you off, which galaxy or planet?"

Diezel looked at his hands and frowned once more, "I do not have a place to go, I have no idea where any of my species are let alone where."

Luna frowned before squirming, "Well I have a spare bunk and some hot cocoa?"

Diezel looked at her softly, "Are you sure I'm not getting in the way?"

Luna giggled softly, "No It's been me and max for a long time, would be nice to have an alien warrior with me," Luna looked at him and sighed "Besides I should teach you the ways of space and travelling, I know you'd do the same if it were me in your situation so-"

Diezel smiled at her softly before hugging her tightly, "Thank you human"

Luna squealed, "What is this?"

Diezel spoke softly, "a hug"

Luna relaxed into him like marshmallows in hot chocolate, "I like it."
