The Armory

They entered the armory.

It had rows of weapons. Swords took up an entire long row, similarly so did the other weapons.

Tomes for low-level magic were scattered on the floor in one corner. All of these were mass-produced weapons. They looked almost identical. Of course, this was the lowest tier of weapons, made for the grunts of the army.

"Take what you need, arm yourself to the teeth. We will likely run into trouble in the forest." Damien looked at Sylvie, who had handed him the map.

"Yes, young master, the beasts are active in the summer."

Damien nodded his head.

Thormann and Grub each took five boxes of ammunition. Each approximately ten cubic centimeters. Each had 200 bullets written on it. They are rifle bullets. They also took one mounted gun whose type he could not understand. But he saw that boxes of the same size had 40 written on them. The bullets must be five times bigger. The mounted gun was heavy and needed both of them to carry it. To accommodate, they had to sling the rifles over their back. Ammunitions were in the backpack.

Ben and Morty took two heavy swords. They slung the scabbard over their shoulders. The two swords were a foot long each and were just right for their heavy built. Alex took a large shield and dragged it around. His wound still hadn't completely healed. They had their regular issue short swords with them. The three were, obviously, a team.

Sugimaru took a shield and a couple of throwable javelins.

The elves fiddled around with the tomes on the floor. The Beastman tinkered with the knives and arrows.

Reiya took two new crossbows with her and picked two bags that said 'spare parts' on them. With this, his team was ready to leave.

"Five minutes more."

Damien still hadn't picked anything; he was observing everyone else. He cursed inwardly. He knew those bastards at the gate had no timekeeping device.

He went to elves and asked them about the tomes but they told him that he needed to find out his attributes first. Damien knew that he could do space and time magic as he had seen his future-self execute that magic.

So, he quickly picked up a few tomes, Beginner Spatial Magic and Beginner Time Magic. He frowned a little when he saw that the time magic one only had two pages. So, he picked the fire, water, and metal elemental tomes. None of the rest was of beginner level. He picked up a rifle, some ammunition, and in case he could not use magic at all, he also picked up a short sword and a crossbow. Since he was never allowed to learn, he had no experience in magic but he had some experience in the sword and the crossbow. He even trained with the squad from time to time.

To operate the rifle, he required to be able to manipulate mana.

So how did he execute the prophecy magic?

Simple. Damien did not have to cast. He only had to crush a crystal after laying down on his bed. Magic truly was something.

"Times up. Get out."

A voice resounded from the entrance.

Recalling the recent brutality they had shown, the group of 11 left without waiting. The guards laughed at them.

"My God, look at those porcupines."
