Chapter 22

I tuned around and saw Ryder pull up beside me in his car.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"How do you know the city so well? And don't say you asked Lola because we both know that's a load of bullsh*t." He gumbled angrily.

I scoffed snobbishly and ignored him. Starting the car I drove back to the school with David. When he was parked I walked in with him back to our class.

Seeing the whole class in the room we entered without saying a word. Surprisingly the teacher didn't asks us about our whereabouts and just closed the door behind us. Me and David sat down in our seats and rested our heads back on the desks.

After an hour of our teacher babbling on about something about the reformation. I think.

Anyways the bell rang, indacating the start of our first break. I got up and exited the room with David following behind me.

David jumped up behind me onto my back. I caught him on time helping him to comfortably piggyback on my back.

"So Camilia Blaze? Hmmm. It's very close to your name isn't it?" David hummed in my ear, slinging his arms across my torso and resting his head on my left shoulder.

"Yeah I guess. What about you. Whats yours?" I asked walking towards my locker area.

"Ahh David Connell." He answered now resting his chin on the top of my head.

"David Connel, David Cooper. Close enough." I compared aloud.

David started kicking frantically. He kicked me a few times. I endured the pain but instantly yelped and droped David when he kicked my fresh bullet wound. I dropped on to my hunkers and grabbed my leg in pain. David looked at me confused at first but then lifted me up and gently dropped me up on the closest couch beside us.

"What did I do?" David panicked looking at my leg. He didn't get a great look as I wore dark, cotton tights which were hard to see through.

"What the hell happened!" A loud, worried growl coming behind David. I didn't recognise it but David did.

"I don't know Ryder. She was giving me a piggyback and then dropped hoding her leg." David explained quickly. By now I was fighting back the tears and rolling on the couch holding my shin.

Hearing the explanation Ryder instantly took action and reached inside my bag. He pulled out a green pen like thing and shoved it towards me.

"Suck that!" He demanded. Hearing this David and I burst into laughter. Well I tried to laugh, without wailing in between my breaths.

"Oh my god, you two really are kids." Ryder complained before scooping me up bridal style and running out of the building with David trailing closely behind.

"Hop into mine. We'll come back later to get your car." Ryder enquired opening his car and laying me  in the back of his car. David and Ryder sat in the front while Rory drove us home.

David freaked out when he saw that the car was driving without any orders from any of us.

"What the f*ck are you doing! Your going to get us killed. Keep your hands on the steering wheele!" David shouted. He was freaking out, probably because his parents died in a crash and was scared that we would crash aswell. I pity him.

"Calm down its automatic." I reassured him giving him a weak smile. Ryder turned around towards me and handed me a pocket knife.

The pain in my leg had eased a lot . So much that now I was sitting upright with my leg resting on the seats beside me. I took the pocket knife but looked at it confused, then shared my gaze between the two males infront of me.

"Cut your tights so that we can stop the bleeding." Ryder explained climbing into the back beside me.

He rested my leg on his lap and snatched the knife out of my hands. Ryder pinched my tights and slit a hole just over my wound. The wound had opened and was spilling red, thick blood. Staining my skin where ever it touched. My whole leg was covered in blood.

"Sh*t! This is not what I expected." David announced, grimacing at the sight of my leg. I chuckled at him .

"Calm down its not like you haven't been shot before." I snapped back.

"Hey! At least I haven't been shot more than that. My first and my last." He said proudly before being cut off.

"Hahah. See you should follow his steps

He's smart." Ryder suggested before pouring some sort of olive coloured oil on my wound.

I couldn't feel anything. My leg was completely numb. By now I was starting to doze off. I guess the drug was working well. Must be quite strong.

"We've arrived at your destination Ryder." The speaker beside me ear screamed and vibrated my  head.

"Holy sh*t. This is yours? Man I need to convert to the CIA. This sh*t is too cool." David complimented.

"Ehhh... why is there so many bodyguards running towards us?" He asked worriedly, looking at Ryder for an answer.

"They work for us. I pressed the warning button above your head when we got in the car. That button basically sends a message of help or an SOS message through out the house. This makes the medics and the bodyguards lockdown the house. They'll wait until we either come back home or call them telling them the reason of our SOS." Ryder blurted within seconds.

David looked at me with a 'did you know this' look. I, reading him like a book, shrugged and sipped on the green pen containing the painkilling drug.

The bodyguards opened the door, scanned the situation and raised me out of the car. The bodyguard ran to a white golf buggy and shouted out orders which I couldn't understand or make out.

My hearing was sailing away and my eyes were closing. I decided that there was no point in fighting back so I did the easiest thing I could. Give up. I let the darkness engulf me and let my numb body go limp in the body gaurds arms.

I gave up.
