Chapter 37: A Little Chat

History: While on the rise, the Four Oceans claimed many territories that once belonged to the Seven. While claiming these territories they were quickly gaining allies that would have strong bonds even after the Four Oceans failed in their mission of world power. Some would protect the Four Ocean's children and grandchildren once the original members passed.

Penelope went to her dinner with Hideo while James, in all politeness, attended the city tour with Hideo's men.

She sat at the other end of the table enjoying the space between her and her ex. Hideo didn't eat or drink, just watched her from the other end.

"How have you been Penelope? Still lighting cities on fire?" He joked.

"Just the ones with people I don't like in them," she muttered. Hideo laughed and she quietly smiled.

"Always the jokester, Miss Eve. It seems you haven't changed."

"I've changed in many ways, one was leaving almost everything I had behind. But you remember that don't you?" She glowered.
