The truth

Y/n's POV

The game started and Philippines took lead. I lost my concentration. Yoongi wasn't there. He promised me he'll come.

I looked every where, he was no where to be found. Because of my worries, we were losing. Philippines were leading.

---skip to - 15 min break---

I sat down and was wondering where Yoongi would be. We were already losing and he's not there.

He kept his promise. He made my dad come for the game and support me. I'm really thankful to him. I don't know if I would've been able to come here, alone.

"Y/n, what are you thinking about?" Lisa asked.

"Nothing... Did Yoongi come? Did you see him?" I asked, eagerly.

"No. I didn't see." She said and left but sat back again.

"Y/n, there's something you need to know." She said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I can't hide it anymore, but you need to know the truth."

"Lisa, please don't make me scared."

"Y/n, Yoongi won't come." She said. I was confused.

"Wh-what? Why? Does he not like me playing?" I asked.

"No, Y/n. He was eager to see you play. But.... he was made to not come." She said.

"The head of the board department's son is Mark." She said pointing at Mark who was standing there.

"His father wanted him to join the SIBC but Yoongi got selected before he could. They both got mad and they..." She paused.

"What did they do? Lisa tell fast." I asked.

"They made him get into an accident and that's how he got shoulder injury. They replaced him with Mark and made the team win, by him. He wanted fame." She said.

Tears were at the brim of my eyes.

"Then, he called Yoongi and told him that he has not be there during the finals. If he was seen, they would hurt you. He was forced to not come. He stayed back at Hoseok oppa and Namjoon oppa's house. He lied that he was at his hometown. He didn't want you to get hurt. Now, Mark wants fame, by replacing Yoongi, and being your coach. Mark is behind all this."

Without saying anything, I walked towards Mark and held his collar.

"Why would you do this? What wrong did he ever do to you? He thought you as a good friend, and this is how you treat him back?" I asked, anger rising in me.

"He took my place and this is what he gets." He said.

"People who are talented get selected here, not people like you." I said and punched his face. His nose started bleeding. I didn't mind who was looking or not, but what he did was wrong.

"Listen now." I said and held his collar again.

"I am gonna win this match. I will win and let everyone know that, my coach is Yoongi. Do whatever you can, but it will not affect me." I said and pushed him.

We all headed back to the court. I looked around and spotted Yoongi. My face lit up as I saw him. He showed me a thumbs up and I nodded.

The game started and I took the lead.

Third person POV

Y/n grabbed the ball and dribbled it and passed it to Aerum. She jumped high and.... In it went!! Y/n and her team made many goals and were leading now.

"The Seoul Smashers have come back and are leading in the game now." The host shouted.

The score of Philippines is 200 and Seoul is 198. They were so close.

They played and played. All gave their best. Seoul Smashers were catching up with Philippines Panthers and took lead.

Now, the score for Philippines is 270 and Seoul is 280.

It was tough game. Both are tough teams. It would either be equal or a difference of 5 or 10.

Neither of them were tired nor giving up.

Mark noticed Yoongi, during the game. He sent guards to get him out. As the guards pulled him out, the other members surrounded him and the guards left, being scared after seeing Jungkook.

Yoongi was happy to see her play. He was happy he made the right decision by coming here. A part of his heart was still worried about her but he was still happy.

A sudden thought appeared in his mind.

'This would be the last time I meet her. After this, we'll be going our separate ways. How do I confess to her? How do I tell her how I feel?' He thought.

He was sad that this would be the end, but he concentrated on the game, for now.

The others were also cheering for them. Her father felt proud to see her, with a lot of people supporting her.

Taemin had also come to see the match and he was excited and happy that her father accepted finally.

"Who do you think will win this match? We'll see it about in 2 minutes." The host said.

The match was about to come to an end.

Seoul - 320

Philippines - 318

Very close match. If Philippines score a goal, it'll be a tie. If Seoul score a goal, they'll win.

Philippines scored a goal and it was tie. There was still a minute left. Y/n dribbled the ball.

She knew there was less time. Only half a minute. The crowd were on the edge of their seats.

Mark shook his head at the opponent team.

Y/n wasn't near the basket. All of her team mates were blocked by the opponent team. The time was ticking.

Y/n was standing away from the basket. She was in the middle of the court. There were 15 more seconds. She knew she won't make it even if she went near the basket.

She remembered what Yoongi said.

"You can do it. It's ok to fail. Just give it a try."

She jumped high and threw the ball, aiming at the basket. As she jumped the opponent team member also jumped. The ball left her hands and the opponent fell on Y/n and they both fell down.

All their eyes were on the ball. Even Y/n's. There were last 5 seconds.

If the ball doesn't fall in within the time, it won't be counted. Everyone stood up from their seats and their eyes focused on the ball only. They all were eager to know what happens.

I'm sure you too are eager to know. Will the ball fall in or not? Will Y/n and her team win or not? Will her dream become true? You'll get to know in the next chapter. Stay tuned, until then!
