I'm suddenly awoke the next morning to hear the sound off zombies outside off our door, scratching and grumbling, trying to get inside. I slowly push mysef back up in a sitting position, feeling my body is numb after lying on the hard and cold wooden floor. Luckily it's not winter, winter had just past so it's getting closer to summer, but it's still a little cold at night times.
I yawn softly and stand up without waking the other, looking outside the window next to the door, to see maybe seven zombies, but who knows why their here? We didn't make anymore noise last night, I think we all fell asleep really quickly, but I don't really remember after passing out. I decided to grab a long, but sharp knife from the kitchen and try to see if I could lead them away. I haven't killed any zombies yet, and I'm not planing on killing anyone, at least not yet. I don't wanna kill them because they once where living, but now they're dead walkers. And honestly I would feel as if I were an murderer if I killed one. But I know the time will come, I just don't know when exactly. I quietly open the back door and closes it gently without another sound. I take a deep breath and a hesitant grip onto my knife as I slowly walk around the house. I don't make much noise which is a good thing because as I turn the corner I see the zombies and it's not seven anymore, it's 15 off them. I swallow thickly, already regretting my choice. But I have to get them away. I look around for anything to make sound with as I see an empty bucket on the ground and grab after it. It's time. I focus my eyes on the zombies as I start banging the knife onto the bucket, quickly catching their attention. " Come'n, follow me... just like that..." I say in a rather bold voice as I am all backwards, looking behind me every now and then to make sure I don't trip. The zombies seem to be very hungry as they keep on following me for I while, I eventually hear the sound off a water fall and a smirk is plastered onto my face. I turn my back to the zombies as I run towards the sound. There it was, a huge waterfall. It's actually really beautiful, but about to be ruined by dead walkers. I hear the sound off them dragging their legs on the ground and grumbling. They get closer and closer for each step. I look around and grab som small stones, and when their close enough I start throwing them into the water, making more sound that distracts them from me. One by one they fall down into the water. And that's when I fall forward rolling down the ground. They weren't the only zombies around.
I look around for my knife but it's nowhere to be found and must have fallen into the waterfall. I feel my heart starting to race and breath is getting quicker. I stumbled backwards still in a sitting position as there come more zombies. I take a deep breath and scream on-top off my lungs
" Help! Help! Please someone help me" I yell out as loudly as possible. I manage to get up on my feet when one off the zombies grabs onto my arm and I try to push him away. But to be a dead Walker they're actually really strong. As I try fighting it away I yell again " HELP! PLEASE, I'm still alive" I let out a whimper as I eventually mange to push the zombie away. I'm quick to gather myself before I run back into the cabin and fall down onto the ground breathing heavily my heart still racing.
I hear quick footsteps approach me as a confused Nolan grabs onto me and lifts me up into his arms. I can't help but to let out some fewer tears and grab onto him tightly. " Hey... calm down... shhhhh" I said in a soft tone as they others crouched done next to me. My heart slows down little by little as I feel Nolan's hand gently tuning through my hair whilst the other ran up and down my arm. We've always have had a complicated relationship, I think that deep down we have feelings for each other, but we aren't able to show it towards each other, so instead we're just being mean. " So you wanna tell us what happens?" He asked in a soft tone as I peeked out, wiping my tears and slowly nod my head. I looked over at Zinnia and who seemed to be as afraid I was, only because she's always been concerned for me. I clear my throat as I start telling them about everything that happens, how it started, how I almost died, and how I mange to chase the zombies away.
" Are you insane?" Kyrie suddenly blurted out, his eyes widen as he glared at me with an wide open mouth. " I-I'm sorry... I- just..." I started as I was being cut off by Nolan. " Look, what you did... was... well it was crazy " he sighed " But from now on, you wake us up, and we do everything as a team so that nobody gets hurt, alright?" He said and gave me the smallest off smile that I've been longing to see for so long. To my surprise I actually smiled back at him, and I think we had this little moment, because the two off us would look each other in the eyes for a little while until we were cut off by Zinnia. " Anyways...." she started in an awkward tone as she stood up " We should get going before there comes any more zombies, it's not safe here, not anymore..." she said simply. " She's right, you might have drawn some zombies by making all that noise " kyrie said simply as I grabbed after his bag. I sat there a bit surprised, you could say as Nolan reach his hand out and helped me back up on my feet. " Tha-" I was about to speak, but he was already gone gather things into his back pack.
I sighed heavily as I gather some clothes, food and grabbed a knife in my hand, just to be on the safe side. We all honestly didn't wanna leave, we could hunt, but it wasn't safe. It were too close to the city, and I bet after they bombed it, there would be plenty off zombies, soon headed our way. I gently locked the door behind us before we all started to walk " so where's our next destination?" I spoke as we kept walking. " I don't know Tamika... I guess we just try to find some stores or gas station and grab with us everything we can get... perhaps in the end we'll find a place we can call home " Kyrie spoke.
