A new Fullbringer is born!

Chapter two.

''This is our new transfer student, I know it's not often that we get this many students, if at all, but please do your best to give him a warm welcome.'' His new teacher Misato Ochi introduced him to the whole class.

Unfortunately for her, Akihiko wasn't exactly listening to her, after all her was in absolute delight due to the sea of notifications he was receiving from the system.

''Hidden mission completed:

Meet Ichigo Kurosaki.

REWARD: 350 I.P''

''Hidden mission completed:

Meet Uryu Ishida.

REWARD: 250 I.P''

''Hidden mission completed:

Meet Sado Yasutora.

REWARD: 150 I.P''

''Hidden mission completed:

Meet Rukia Kuchiki.

REWARD: 250 I.P''

A quick mental calculation made him aware of the fact that he now had 1350 I.P, and all that for just meeting a few important people.

'Then again, I doubt I'll get this chance quite often.' He reminded himself, after all it was quite an anomaly to have so many important people in a random school.

Still, he had to consciously keep himself from salivating the floor at the prospect of spending so much points, he already had a plan to get in contact with Urahara and this would only make it easier.

Due to the fact that he had been daydreaming about what he was going to do with his newly acquired points, he hadn't noticed that his teacher was done with the introductions and was now waiting for him to talk to the whole class.

'Ups.' The blue eyed boy thought. 'I really need to focus.'

''… So, my name is Akihiko, Akihiko Kuromiya.'' He started, unsure on what was the expected introduction for a new student. ''You may call me Akihiko, I'm not one for formalities.''

His teacher looked pleased by his short introduction, and immediately ended the awkward silence with a few more words.

''If any of you've any questions for your new classmate, raise your hands, I'll give you five minutes.'' And with that she took a seat on her desk, leaving the rest to her students.

To Akihiko's surprise, there immediately were quite a few hands up. 'Huh, I didn't expect that anyone would be interested in me off the bat.'

The boy allowed himself a few seconds to decide on someone, and quickly pointed with his index finger towards the first face he recognized and so the questions started.

. . .

The class was mostly uneventful, after he had finished answering some uninteresting questions with even more uninteresting answers, most of the students had quickly lost any interest on him and the class started.

The class in itself wasn't that hard, honestly speaking he had already studied this quite a few years ago so it proved fairly easy to understand most of it.

Right now they were at a math lesson, and he wasn't really interested in solving equations, after all he had something much more important to decide.

So, after answering a few questions from Mizuiro, Keigo and Chizuru he had received twenty-five influence points for meeting each one of them. That left him with 1425 of them, and he needed only seventy-five more to pick a race.

The question was, did he really want to commit to a specific race so early? Becoming a Shinigami was probably out of the question, first of all he didn't even have any means to access his spirit form, would he be stuck at his real body until he begged Kisuke for some fancy toys? That didn't seem like a nice thought.

Becoming a hollow didn't seem like a smart idea either, what guaranteed him that Ichigo wouldn't send his ass flying to the Soul Society? Even if by a miracle he managed to open a Garganta, his chances against a regular hollow didn't seem that high either. Maybe if he waited a bit and got a few Reiatsu Boost's before doing it?

Quincy? What about absolutely fucking not? He didn't know shit about how he would interact with Yhwach if he became a quincy, and he didn't fancy the thought of meeting the Wandenreich either.

Except Bambietta, man she was a hottie.

That left him with pretty much only one option, and that was of course to become a Fullbringer.

'A Fullbringer...' Akihiko thought, and he found himself quite inclined to the idea. 'I won't be under any sort of affiliation, nor will i have any immediate enemies if i decide to be one.'

Plus, it would be a reasonable explanation if he ever needed to explain how he managed to keep growing stronger.

'I could simply say it's due to my fullbring and be done with it.' In theory it should be possible, after all fullbrings are known to be incredibly versatile.

'It's decided then.' With that, his mind was made up. 'Even if i end up regretting it, i can always get a second race at a later date.'

Entrance of Karakura's High school, hours later.

"See you later, Orihime!" Tatsuki said to her friend as she left to her karate's class.

"Bye, Tatsuki-chan!" Inoue happily waved to her friend as she saw her leave, innocently smiling at her.

Not too far away from them, two other individuals were having their own conversation.

"So, what do you say Akihiko? Want to join us this weekend?" Keigo asked.

"I'll have to pass." The blue eyed boy refused, he wasn't really up for any parties, nor was he interested on building any sort of friendship with him.

"Maybe next time then!" Keigo offered, still not completely giving up on the new student. "It'll be fun, i promise."

"... We'll see." Turning away from him, he started walking away from them, although he wasn't really heading home just yet.

He walked for a while until he finally reached the place he was looking for.

Ichigo Kurosaki's house was right in front of his eyes, and he had a pretty simple reason for which he absolutely needed to be here.

His primary reason for being here was to farm points, of course. If he had to guess, meeting Isshin should grant him around two hundred points, maybe even more.

Of course he didn't need to claim those points immediately, but the thought of being defenseless against pretty much anyone was really disturbing.

'And now that I think of it, getting that Reiatsu boost probably wasn't my wisest choice.' He cursed on his mind. 'Hollows are naturally attracted to people with high spiritual pressure, and even now I've started being able to see the shape of most spirit's, which means…'

Akihiko knew fully well what that meant, it wouldn't be long before some hollow was attracted to him, and as he was right now he doubted he would stand a chance.

And so, that had forced him to move things a little faster since there wasn't any mission appearing as of right now, and he needed a few more points.

'It's a clinic, there's nothing that he should be suspicious about.' He reassured himself, knowing fully well that behind Isshin's silly dad act there was a Shinigami who was once granted the rank of captain.

Knock, knock.

He knocked the wooden door, and waited silently for an answer.

To his surprise, the door opened almost immediately after he knocked, and the one who was in front of him wasn't Isshin Shiba, it was…

''Hi?'' A shy girl asked looking at him from behind the door.

''Hello? Is this the Kurosaki's clinic?'' He asked back, not paying attention to the quick notification that he had received from the system.

''Hidden mission reward:

Meet Yuzu Kurosaki.

REWARD: 100 I.P''

With this he had finally enough points to pick his own race, but he couldn't just end the conversation and run away from the little girl without saying a word.

''A-ah, yes, but Dad is not home!'' Yuzu replied, and Akihiko was honestly having a hard time imagining that this was Ichigo's sister.

'Then again, I guess Ichigo was once a little bit like her.' That much was true, Ichigo used to be a lot more emotionally dependent on other people before his mother died.

''I see, then do you've any idea when he's coming back?'' Even though he wasn't interested in meeting the man anymore now that he had enough points, he needed to play the situation out.

''I-I'm not sure.'' The girl answered, and honestly speaking she had said more than she probably should.

''Hm… Then I guess I'll come tomorrow then.'' That was a lie, he wasn't planning on coming anywhere near this house until he had mastered his Fullbring. ''Have a nice day, little girl.''

''Ah, y-you too!'' Yuzu answered back, not sure on how to react to the sudden end of the conversation.

. . .

'It's a shame that I didn't get to farm Isshin's points, but maybe it's better like this, after all I doubt he would show me mercy if he ever suspected that I wanted to harm his family.' He thought, finally back on his very own house.

As of right now, Akihiko was resting on his bed looking straight at the blue window he was slowly growing accustomed to.

''System.'' He furrowed his eyebrows when he wasn't given any sort of response, it looked like the system wouldn't be able to give him any suggestions as to what race he should pick.

''It looks like the system isn't going to help me decide either.'' He muttered, although he liked to have his freedom he really wouldn't mind to have a second opinion to help him out.

''Well, fortune favors the bold.'' And without uttering another word, he slammed his finger against the blue screen and purchased 'Fullbringer'.

''…'' He waited, closing his eyes as if preparing himself for any sort of massive overflow of energy. ''Huh?

Yet it didn't come, he could feel his reiatsu was slightly higher but apart from that…

''Did this shit just scam me?'' He wasn't completely sure, due to the nature of how a Fullbring worked he might have needed to fulfill some sort of requisite.

''If I remember correctly…'' Opening his eyes, he walked down to the first floor and took a quick turn straight to the kitchen, filling an empty glass with water. ''I should be able to do something like…''

He touched the water's surface with the tip of his index finger and tried to picture something similar to what Ginjo once did.

''Like this.'' It was almost instantaneous, the very moment his hand touched the water, it started glowing in a deep green light.

He slowly opened his mouth, and watched with keen interest how all the content from inside the glass started pouring itself inside his mouth.

''Neat.'' He swallowed the weird looking green substance, finding that it tasted exactly like normal water.

'So, what am i missing?' He was a Fullbringer, that much he was able to confirm, but he still needed a special object in order to have his very own fullbring.

'Maybe...' He walked back to his room and started throwing clothes out of his closet, as if looking for something.

"Everything looks to be in it's usual place, so it should be around here..." The system user suddenly stopped. "Bingo."

He walked back to his bed, with something being held in his right hand.

"I'm not sure if this will be enough, but..." Slowly opening the palm of his hand, he found himself looking at a silver necklace with a green gemstone, it's size not being less than a small finger nail.

"I haven't really looked at you for quite a few years, huh." Akihiko said, his eyes landing on the beautiful gem.

"I've never been one to stay stuck with the past, you always knew that mom." The blue eyed teenager talked to the necklace. "I always thought Big Sis should've had this, but it's not like she really cared about it either."

No young boy was supposed to be living alone, that much should be obvious. So, where was his family then?

Well, his mother was as dead as they can be, but there was no fancy death for her, just being slowly consumed by an illness.

His father? Hard to tell if you could even call him a father, as soon as his mother got pregnant with him, he left them without looking back.

Lastly, he had a big sister, though she was mostly absent as she traveled around the world quite often. That left him alone for most of the time, not that he minded.

What he was looking at right now was the necklace his mother used to wear every single day, it might be a little cliché but it was his best shot at getting his own fullbring.

"Now, let's see what you got for me..." The boy tried doing the exact same thing that he did with the water a few minutes ago, trying to pour it's soul out.

This was proving to be surprisingly challenging, after all he had been at it for quite a few minutes and he had yet to see any visible change.

"Come on, come on." He softly bit his lower lip, feeling a cold drop of sweat running down his face. "Come on!"

One last time, he tried pushing harder against it and just when he was about to give up, he managed to see a shy green glow coming out of it.

"Haah..." He breathed heavily, trying to catch back his breath. "Shit, i guess i can't do it in a single day."

He allowed his body to fall against the soft bed, slowly closing his eyes.

"Guess i'll try again tomorrow."

. . .

"Does anyone know the answer? Anyone?" Misato was having a hard time with her students.

This was really not her day, of that much she was sure.

Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki had both just run out of her class, apparently both needed to go to the 'bathroom'.

And it certainly didn't help that her star student Uryu Ishida didn't seem to be in the mood to answer her question either.

That plus the fact that Keigo was clowning around begging her to let him go to the bathroom too...

'Man, sometimes i hate this job.' She thought, her head falling miserably against her desk.

Not too far away from her, Akihiko was having his own problems too.

'... What am i even supposed to do?' Even during class, he had been practicing nonstop with his necklace -which he was now wearing at all times-.

Although practicing in class might seem too careless, it was a calculated risk.

'Rukia has the Hogyoku inside her, so that might unconsciously boost my progress.' He had already decided that it was worth a shot, and thus he had been practicing almost any time she was close to him.

'And with enough luck she might notice that something is strange with me.' That was his main goal, for Rukia to question Urahara about him.

'If i manage to do that, then Urahara should feel less antagonistic about me than if i just approach him out of nowhere.' He couldn't help but feel a little bit frustrated, it would be so much easier if he could just talk to him and be done with it.

. . .

Two days later.

"Oi, Rukia, what're we doing here?" Ichigo asked with caution, after all this whole thing didn't sit well with him.

"Shut it, Ichigo!" Rukia jostled Ichigo at his side, making him wince in pain.

"Augh! You midget! What was that about!?" The substitute soul reaper felt like punching the girl, hard.

"Like i told you, we're watching him." The Kuchiki replied, as both of their eyes turned away from each other and landed on a certain someone.

"Him? But why? He seems like a nice guy." Ichigo argued back, stalking his new classmate didn't feel right to him.

Both of them had been following their new classmate Akihiko Kuromiya, for a little over fifteen minutes or so.

"Like i told you, i've been feeling his reiatsu constantly flowing." The two of them stopped, watching the boy enter a nice looking house. "So he lives here, huh."

"Stop being so creepy Rukia." Ichigo told his companion. "He can't be the only one like that, what if he's just like me?"

"... I guess so." She didn't seem entirely convinced by his words, her eyes never leaving the house. "I'll have to talk with someone about this later, let's go."

"Huh, already? Hey, wait for me, Rukia!" The orange haired boy started running after the small girl, and so, they both left the place.

. . .

"Survival mission:

Rukia Kuchiki is suspicious about you.

Survive her investigation about you and your powers.

REWARD: 500 I.P"

"... Jeez, isn't this a little bit too much?" The system user complained as he claimed the reward for the completed task.

From the very moment that Rukia started stalking him, he had received that mission from the system and he had finally completed it.

"Was she really going to kill me if she was suspicious enough?" Despite that dark thought, things still worked out for him.

If Rukia was serious enough about him then she would make contact with Urahara, that would make the man aware of his existence.

'Eventually i'll be able to have a proper talk with him, he should prove to be a valuable ally.' He added.

"Well then, if they know about me already... I might as well boost myself a bit, i'm not about to die to some random hollow." He clicked his tongue at such a thought. "Store!"

"Reiatsu boost: 100 I.P"

"Reiatsu boost: 200 I.P"

He purchased 'Reiatsu boost' twice.

"Mhmmm... I might get addicted to this." He had to force himself to stay on his feet. "This feels almost too good."

Unfortunately for him, if he ever wanted to purchase another boost he needed at least four hundred I.P, and as of right now he only had a little under three hundred.

"Still, in terms of reiatsu alone... Well, i should be a challenge for a no name soul reaper." If he was correct, each time he purchased an upgrade his reiatsu almost doubled in sheer size.

He was well aware of the fact that he would be attracting at least a few curious hollows towards him, actually, he was counting on it.

'That's the only way to push through.' After all, Ichigo had been pretty much forced to fight in order to activate his fullbring.

'Let's just hope that it works out; even if it doesn't i'm counting on Kisuke to save me.' This was risky, of course, he knew that much.

. . .

Meanwhile, at Urahara Shōten.

''My, my, visiting again already? I sure hope everything I sold you is still working.'' This were the words of probably one of the most dangerous –if not the most- men in Earth, Urahara Kisuke was not to be taken lightly.

He was wearing his trademark mysterious smile, while his hand fan made a perfect job of hiding the lower half of his face.

''It's not like I want to be here.'' Rukia told him, rolling her eyes at the man's antics. ''And yes, everything is still working perfectly fine, otherwise I would've asked for a refund already.''

''Well then, what brings you to my humble store today?'' Urahara questioned her, and although Rukia couldn't see it, she could swear for her life he had that damn smile plastered all over his face.

''I think that there's someone…'' Rukia made a slight pause, considering what would be the best words to describe his new classmate. ''Interesting, and potentially dangerous.''

From one of the opened windows, a black cat jumped into the store with its two feline eyes watching them both.

''Oh, that's interesting for sure.'' The blonde haired man answered, and although his attitude didn't seem to really change, he was certainly more interested in the conversation now. ''And who might that be?''

''Akihiko, Akihiko Kuromiya.'' Rukia named the teenager in question. ''Does it ring any bells?''

''I'm afraid it doesn't.'' The exiled captain answered. ''But what's so special about this Kuromiya guy?''

''I don't know the answer to that myself.'' The black haired girl confessed. ''It's difficult to explain, his reiatsu is high for a human, and it behaves strangely.''

''It behaves strangely?'' Kisuke questioned her, one of his eyebrows rising ever so slightly in curiosity. ''How so?''

''It's like…'' Rukia frowned, tried to recall what she had felt for most of the classes today. ''Like it was flowing to an object, although I don't know if that's even the right wording…''

If Rukia was paying more attention to Kisuke's expression, she might've been able to see how slight recognition blinked over the man's eyes, but it disappeared just as fast.

''Well, it's too soon to tell, but like I said it doesn't ring any bells for now.'' Urahara replied. ''I'll have someone keep an eye over him though, so there's no need to worry.''

As he said that last part, Kisuke's eyes discreetly met the pair of feline eyes on the room, a silent agreement being held without Rukia's knowledge.

''You know where he lives, right? Give me his address and you'll have nothing to worry about.'' He assured the girl, his mysterious smile now back on his face. ''I might be interested in this human myself.''

After all the relevant information had been shared, Rukia decided to excuse herself from the store before Ichigo started to freak out due to her absence.

''… So, what do you think, Yoruichi?'' Sitting down on his usual spot, Urahara looked towards the black cat in the room and waited for an answer.

''It sure sounds like a fullbringer, doesn't it? Although he must be a new one if he's practicing in a classroom.'' The black cat answered in a deep voice, walking closer to the man.

''Exactly my thoughts.'' Kisuke agreed. ''He doesn't seem like a threat and he's probably on his own, but we should probably keep an eye on him just in case.''

''Want me to watch over him, I presume?'' The feline asked, now heading right towards the same window from which it had entered the store.

''For now, yes.'' Kisuke nodded, his hat shadowing his eyes as he talked. ''He could prove to be useful to us if he's truly by himself.''

''I guess so.'' Yoruichi half agreed, jumping to the window.

''Already leaving?'' Urahara questioned her.

''This boy has peaked my interest too.'' Was her only answer. ''I'll be leaving then.''

And just like that, the man was left alone at the store.

End of chapter two.
