Bakugo's POV
I took in deep breaths trying to calm myself before the match, Red and Shoto were almost done and my stomach was churning. We agreed that we had to make the fight look good. It was the last fight and if the League was going to attack it was probably going to be during this match. On the other hand I actually wanted to know how well the two of us had improved so we were going to fight for real. Deku takes his place across from me and smiles.
'Relax, we will both do fine. I promise we have spent months training and we are now Eraserhead's monster children after all," I try not to laugh but I do smile and can't help chuckling. I take in a deep breath and actually relax now. This is just going to be some intense training that's all. Zuki and I are not actually fighting. I blow out a puff of air and feel the last of the tension leave me.
"Red Riot and Tempest why don't you two stay with me to watch the match?" Midnight offered smiling. "Considering you just defeated the current number 1 hero and all," she tried to entice them.
Red and Shoto started busting up laughing at that though, confusing everyone. It took a minute or two and even then only after Deku reminded them through telepathy that they finally calmed down. Red wiped at a tear from his eyes before speaking clearly and without any hesitation, "Endeavor has nothing on our number 1 but sure we would be happy to watch with you." Red and Shoto started laughing again this time softly leaning against each other just a bit and I rolled my eyes.
"Can we start our fight sometime today?" I called out getting her attention again, my irritation very visible to the crowd.
She managed to stumble over our introductions again and turned to our two classmates before asking, "So why do you think Ground Zero chose to fight Deku instead of a pro hero like the rest of your classmates?" I was practically groaning at this point because she still hadn't started our match.
"Easy, he wanted to know who the true number one is," Red answered leaving Shoto to just nod in agreement.
"The true number one?" Midnight just stared at them confused, woman haven't you seen us spar before?
"Good luck Daddy! Good luck Papa!' Eri cheered letting us know they were back in the commentators box. Deku and I perked up and smiled waving back towards a camera so our happy faces were on the billboard for her.
"Are you ready?" Deku asked, turning back to me a serious expression replacing his earlier carefree one.
"Oh yeah," I slam one fist into another, loosening myself up a little. I send a brief glare at Midnight before returning my focus to Deku.
"Problem children, try not to hit the audience. There are not enough heroes in the world to protect them." Eraserhead sighed into his mic.
"The long awaited match between UA's year 2 class A number 1 students is finally ready to begin. These two students tie for the number 1 slot both academically as well as through our physical exercises!" Present Mic was practically screaming into his own microphone. "Up until this point they have not been allowed to go all out for any reason at all! Until today! They have been given permission from Principle Nezu himself to use whatever force they needed to so long as they do not exit the stage!"
The stadium was loud, I know that but at the same time the roars of the crowd went unnoticed by me. I was too busy feeling my blood pump through my veins as my heart pounded in my chest. I lower myself to the ground ready to dodge whatever he was going to use to hit me with once Midnight made the announcement. Then she did.
Aizawa's POV
It was like watching a movie in fast forward the way those two moved. Between Red and Eri though everyone was able to hear about what was happening even if they couldn't keep up with them. There were times that I think they were moving even faster than Iida, the way Bakugo used his explosions to propel himself through the air. Then there was Midoriya. He was practically coated in his green lightning from the very beginning. It was working just like electricity too. The way he sped up was almost inhuman. The burst of fire pouring out of his mouth was carving paths into the concrete stage.
I thought they were going to hold back until the League showed up? Then something Eri was saying caught my attention and I looked away from the fight. "What did you say?"
"I said Papa needs to pay better attention to what he is doing. He has dodged way better attacks during training. They are still just warming up!" She grumbled hotly, now sitting back in her seat seemingly bored.
"Red Riot, Tempest! Is that true?" I watched as I saw them jump at being called out over the speakers. Midnight handed them her mic so they could answer me.
"Uh yeah. They are still just stretching. Why?" Red returned his eyes almost just as bored as Eri had, back to the fight.
"Can you keep up with this warm up?" I asked next, my voice low. Why am I angry? Easy because if I had known they were this advanced I could have upped their training.
"Sure the whole class can," Shoto answered for him looking confused at Midnight. There were very few people in the world that could move this fast let alone apply it in a fight. And two of my students were telling me that my whole class could?
"When you say the whole class?" I left the question open ended not wanting to call out my weakest student in front of the whole world.
"Yeah, I mean Grape Juice even can. He needs a minute or two to catch his breath afterwards but yeah." Red answered, Endeavor was sitting in his seat stone still and for once he was silent. I look over at him to see his mouth gaping open. I think my high school students just became the top 20 heroes in the world, maybe 21 if it wasn't for the fact that Mineta lost to Midnight. Or did he? Now that I think about it I don't remember him ever trying to actually attack her. He was just running around putting her into very lewd positions before she finally had enough. Just how strong are my students now?
Deku's POV
I raise my arms and block a well placed punch before he sets off explosion after explosion. I can't help smiling as I fly into the air and use my shoot style to slam back onto the ground just a hair's breadth away from where Kacchan was able to dodge. My green lightning coating my body even as fire erupted from my mouth. The roars of the audience landed on my deft ears. I could only hear my breathing and Kacchan. My Kacchan, I could hear him panting trying to keep up.
After what seemed like forever of us dancing around the stage destroying anything that had the misfortune to be in our path. We were both coated in sweat and we decided that this is where we would level off. We started stumbling and deepening our breathing until they came out as pants. We were perfectly fine but the act had to go on. If we had a prayer of the League attacking it would only be when they thought we were exhausted.
'Zuki are you okay?' Kacchan asked using the mental link between us.
'Yeah but we need to pull out the big guns and make the League think we are on our last legs,' I tried not to groan out loud while dodging a flying kick of his. 'Bring on the water.' He gave the tiniest nod before he started screaming as if he were in severe pain and I joined him. We were letting our voices go hoarse and before anyone could do anything, the rubble from the stage, even what had fallen into the moat from previous battles, started floating into the air as my green lightning flashed and spiraled around me, I had to be careful to tone it down though. Behind Kacchan I could see a sizeable portion of the water raise into the air. It was nothing he couldn't do while yawning especially considering his DNA had been practically getting dumped into it for days now.
The crowds were going wild, some even screaming. Before I heard Eraserheads thoughts. 'Fuck the League is here. How do I let the boys know?' I smile and relay the message to the rest of the class. Only Mineta didn't know about the mental communication, otherwise the whole class did. The pro heros however did not, they didn't need to and besides the more people who knew the more likely it would be to get out.
Everyone took up their positions while Red and Shoto improvised. Honestly it was better that they were on the stage opposite of the seats our class had been assigned. They could cover that side of the audience while the class went about. Everyone was too captivated by our 'fight' to notice that our class seats in a matter of seconds were completely empty.
We continued to break up the stage creating more and more rubble. Kacchan hit me with the water and I took a drink letting him heal me while it looked like we were battling. In the matter of seconds we were both back to 100% and Kacchan let the water fall back into the moat as if he was too tired to keep it up any longer. Kacchan and I stood there panting on the stage as if neither of us could breathe and I had the smallest speck of black.
Finally! It was their teleporting guy. Before it got too big not to notice Kacchan and I ran at each other and struck our fist together causing a giant explosion without the help of his quirk. It's showtime!
Red's POV
I looked Shoto in the eyes and pulled him in for a sweet kiss before letting him go. "You ready?" As if we hadn't spent all week going over the plan together. It was super lucky that Midnight invited us to stay with her because it was going to be hell to find a way to this side of the stage without it.
"You know I am." He smiled, the way he smiles is just too much sometimes it makes my heart ache.
"Ready for what?" Midnight asked, getting distracted from the fight just in time to see Shoto kiss me again. I love this man!
"Show time!" I slam my fist together, hardening them as I did and Shoto let half of his body catch on fire while covering the other half in frost. Suddenly a lot of things started happening all at once.
Deku and Bakubro met in the center of the stage and slammed together creating the All Might, the now single person on the stage, just as villains started popping up all over the place. Huh maybe they should call it the small might? I heard chuckles in my head and saw not only Shoto smirking at the thought but I heard random bits of laughter throughout the stands. I guess that's a yes.
I smile and Shoto and I turn and he uses his ice to make a slide for us to shoot out at the audience and right next to where Dabi was standing.
"Wha-?" He started to ask before he shook the thought out of his head and started shooting his fire at me.
"Not my boyfriend," I hear Shoto scream and a wall of ice separates us. I smile and blow him a kiss before turning to find Twice behind me.
"Oh it's on!" I harden myself to the max before running at him.
