After a full night of guard duty the three of them set there mid to the task of some low level fortification of Mr Stien's house. Between Richard and Jason they had a piece of iron rebarb and one pistol that either of them could use. they also had the two form fitting backpacks that reduced carry weight and improve weighted mobility. they each could carry one and a half times there normal amount which was alread 175 lb per person, now they could carry a little over three hundred lbs easily. so collecting and transporting good used for fortification was almost a breeze.

They decided to go to a local hardware store to see if any essential supplies were left to gather. The hardware store was on the other side of the city they decided to stick to the outskirts e of the city and stay in cover of some of the trees as there were far to many creatures in the city. on every other street they would spot a few creatures with blue cracks, a few other creatures had green cracks. Most of the creatures were cat like and a few were dog like but one was the size of a normal cat but had spikes like a porcupine.

It look quite dangerous so the group decided not to engage and try to sneak past it.

Another creature was a opossum looking creature but it was completely white and was extremely quick. it also could completely turn invisible.

"Should we kill that opossum? we could craft some type of camouflage." jason suggested as they snuck by, " i don't know its really quick do you think we can catch it off guard, i mean i don't want to shoot it it could attract other beasts." then mr sien asked "why would you try there is no guaranty you can make camo out of it."

"our scanner said it is a crafting material ..... oh you haven't seen the here take this one." Jason said with a surprised look on his face. While they watched mr stien get acquainted with how the scanner worked. he asked with shock gripping his face "Where did you boys find these they seem ancient but really advanced they even have a weird inscription in latin?"

"Can you read it , the inscription i mean? because i also have a couple notes i found but there both in latin we never learned latin in school." Mr stine nodded when he hear about the notes "Im a little rusty but im sure with enough time i can figure it out" Richard smiled and with a spark of optimism he said to jason "Ok lets chance it we can try to flank it while one of us distracts it."
