Unexpected Guest

"We are going to f*%#*€g die!!!!" Jason's mind was screaming because of the terrifying ordeal the found themselves in.

Richard was afraid too but all his fear was being converted to pure analysis power trying to find a way to either escape the beast or kill it, the ladder was of lesser concern.

Richard thought for as long as he could then he closed his eyes suddenly he could move "Dude you can move if your not looking in his eyes" Richard screamed at jason to make sure he heard him.

Unfortunately richard could not move if he opened his eyes even if he was not looking at the beasts eyes as long as the beast was looking at him he was frozen.

Jason suddenly remembered the game he and his brother used to play as kids blind folded tag

"Dude blind tag the, wolf is it" Jason yelled then took off running at the wolf.

The bone wolf saw jason getting closer and lifted its tail to try and impale him. But just as Jason was close enough to be killed Richard shut his eyes and and yelled "Stop!"

Just like that jason stopped on a dime and the pickaxe like tail swung right past his face it was so close he could feel it graze his nose. Jason then ran to the left the same direction the wolf swung its tail and darted towards the big tree in the middle of the underground cave.

The wolf lost balance since hi missed his target with his attack and the momentum of his tail swung him to far around to be abel to immediately chase Jason. and Jason got about a four second head start on the beast.

Angry about its miss on the execution blow the wolf chased jason as soon as he could and completely Ignored Richard.

The wolf was extremely fast but Jason with his new armor was almost as fast so he could keep the beast from gaining to much ground all at once.

Jason made it to the tree after dodging smaller palm trees in his way. Jason's thinking was that the trees would slow down the wolf and His improved agility and fleet of foot would allow him to gain a small gap between him and certain death.

But unfortunately the wolf charged forward through those spindly palm trees swinging its tail turning them into toothpicks and the weight of the wolfs tail allowed it surge forward with greater speed.

Jason had a chance to look back for a moment and felt the wolf eyes on him , almost grinning and thirsting for his blood . It was and understatement to say the fear in Jason's heart was palpable.

Jason was now before the grand tree that held up the entirety of the cave they were currently in. As Jason got to the tree he realized that the wolf would catch up within a few moments and the only place to go was up. While still running jason launched himself towards the only place he could grab on the tree a large nob.

Jason hadn't thought thia plan through though he could only grab onto that one nob. he turned his body to try to launch of the tree a jump over the wolf and run the opposite way.

But as he turned the wolf was directly under him with its claws in the tree and its tail ready to swing .

The way jason was hanging by one hand he was exposed o one side of in body but luckily the beast chose the other side as it swung its tail wildly. Jason was also frozen by the wolfs stare.

The wolf swung its tail on this left sid and pierced straight through his bicep and bone and then went a couple of inches into the soft meat near his ribs.

Jason let out a scream as this happened. The wolf ripped its tail out and prepped for another strike this one being the killing blow.

After the squelch of flesh tearing was heard as the wolf pulled its tail out the world seemed silent for jason for a moment.

The next sound heard was Richard screaming "DIE BASTARD!!!!" as he swung his sword across the hind leg of the wolf and continuing up cutting the tail off at the base along with a large chunk of the wolfs hind quarters. The wolf let out a loud screech and fell to the ground.

It look at Richard ad froze him again will Jason still hung in the tree by his last good arm not willing to fall down due to the wolf directly below him but he couldn't help witch drove him crazy.

Then a loud howl was heard from somewhere far away and the wolf before them perked it ears and just as it was about to howl a reply an arrow flew by and pierced its eye killing it instantly.

The arrow came from above and due to the wolf lifting its head to howl it gave the shooter a open target to its weakest point..

Richard looked up with confusion at where the arrow the felled the beast came from and saw a familiar figure standing in the bows of the large tree

"That como ninja woman" Richard thought as he looked up at her.....
