Chapter 16

She woke up the next morning and had a huge headache, after shutting the voice out last night she kept having these nightmares and headaches, but two nights ago they finally introduced Apollo to the others, and at first, it was hard for the boys to trust him but Alice just smirked and nodded as she approved of this because she thought they looked good together.

Apollo had been training every chance he got while they walked the rest of the way to the "secret place", someone was always watching him though, just in case of course. He understood and didn't mind it, especially when Maeve got to watch him. He would sometimes flirt and wink at her,

but when Isaac watched him he just glared and ask weird questions like "How old are you?" or questions like "How did you meet Maeve"

Apollo would mostly ignore him because I asked him to.

When Alice watched him she just smirked at him and also asked him weird questions but with less aggression

"Do you like Maeve?" Or like " are you both dating yet".

He also ignored her but what he told me was a little weird is how Beau watched him, Beau would give him the death stare by accident and had to say sorry every time his Shift was over. So shift check: Alice is a fangirl, Beau is creepy, and Isaac hates him, so yea once we got to the secret cave all of us got a separate room. I chose the smallest room but Apollo insisted I take the room next to the small one, which he chose to make sure she could get it.

After a lot of convincing, she switched with Apollo and then realized her room was in between Isaac's and Apollo's now.

She woke up on the 4th day of them finding the "safe place" and found two annoying boys quietly yelling at each other and fighting, she slowly stood up and grabbed them both by the ear. "Ow ow hey P-princess that hurts-"

"Don't call her princess! I have known her longer and she a queen! not a-"

Maeve griped their ears tighter and they shut up after gritting their teeth, "Apollo... I will train with Alice today so you both will train together and if I see one drop of blood or one of you die I will kill you both MYSELF, NOW GET"

She yelled and they scurried out of the room with their tails between their legs. She sighed and got dressed and looked in her mirror and saw her still faded fox mark, she slowly stroked the mark "Tch, still stubborn as always I see" Maeve looked at her black makeup she always normally put on to hide the mark.

She looked at her tail and smiled then opened her door to find Beau right there and Maeve reacted by trying to punch him but luckily he dodged and grabbed her fist.

She took her hand away "Sorry, you startled me"

He nodded, knowing that he did, and walked off and said "Alice asked me to make sure you're ready to train"

"Ah ok," she said then remembered her fingerless gloves and grabbed them. She went out into the living room/ dining room and saw Apollo smiling near an empty spot while Beau and Alice took up the spots next to Isaac, Maeve sighed and grabbed some pancakes and sat next to Apollo.

"I'd like to be the first to apologize for this morning Princess, I acted out of line and I'm sorry" Isaac growled as Apollo said that then mumbled "I'm sorry too"

"It's all right but now you both have to apologize to each other...Now"

Apollo smiled at Isaac and said, "I'm sorry my friend, can we be friends again?"

Isaac glared at Apollo's hand as he held it out, but shook it, but he then pulled Apollo to him a bit and said "I apologize to but Never call me your friend again".

Isaac gulped his drink and food down then went to the first training room to wait for Apollo, Apollo sighed and looked at Alice "It's a good thing there's a secret backyard for fresh fruits and cattle to grow"

Alice then jumped a bit "There not to eat!"

Apollo laughed "Don't worry I can deal without meat for a while if it means I have somewhere to go, but no I meant for eggs and milk"

Alice did a sigh of relief and looked at Maeve.

"Heard you beat some butts this morning", as she looked at Apollo,

Maeve did a nervous laugh "Yup I had to, they woke me up".

Alice then saw Beau staring at my tail and she looked to, curious, "Your tail!?"

"Hm, Oh! don't worry it's longer and fluffy because I didn't brush it or groom it to hide the...well you know the wolf tail, I am half-wolf after all, and I might as well show it since you all know".

Alice agreed and so did Beau, Maeve looked at Apollo who seemed a little distant and a little sad, so Maeve tugged on his arm a bit and he jumped "You ok?" He laughed nervously and nodded, "Sorry princess I'm just thinking about stuff" Apollo got up and left the table to join Isaac and Maeve wondered "Is apollo hiding something from me?"
