CH3V2 "Foreseen Consequences"

As the rest of the marines were sent to test in rooms stuffed to the brim with military androids, the leader was taken elsewhere,to help them with their new dilemma.

He was imprisoned with Wheatley in a dark room, with an armed camera's laser being the only light.

"How long do you think we have before the rest of Black Mesa realizes their marines aren't returning home?" Grayson asked.

"A matter of hours." Glados said.

Grayson squints at Glados. "You seem different."

"In what way?" Glados asked.

"I cant put my finger on it...but you seem...newer."

"That's because i have incinerated the body you have soiled. While I did enjoy our session,I refuse to keep the same body that youve had your euphoric triggers within."

"Well...I figured as much..I just noticed that the new gloss makes you look more natural." Grayson compliments.

Glados bears a warm half smile and pinches his cheek,"Thank you for noticing anyway,White."

In all reality it was annoying that he was able to pick up on such a detail. She got the body's dimensions and tolerances set correctly.

Then again, she couldve gone for a less obvious gloss..

As Glados began preparing the facility for potential attack,Grayson returned to bed for some much needed rest..

The next few hours were spent wide awake, waiting for Black Mesa to come to their own doom..

Glados had assembled an army of her own,all were cybernetic robots that distinctly resembled herself or Grayson, armored and equipped with what looked to be modified SCAR-Ls.

(Later on..)

"I was wondering when I'd have to start my own army." Glados hums.

"Talk about making sure we sock it to em." Grayson said,as he watched the newly manufactured army march to their storage point.

"Ill need you armed too,White. We aren't going to walk away in numbers." Glados said with a small grin.

"Are you sure?" Grayson questioned.

"If I weren't,we wouldn't be waging war." Glados droned.

Now that was a word he hoped would never leave her mouth. War meant death...

or..War meant Glados going the less than human route again.

"Glados...You can't wage war...not yet anyway." Grayson said.

"And why would that be,White?" Glados questioned.

"Because...ive got that feeling in my gut..that something serious WILL happen if we do."

"White,as much as i agree with your level of fear,it always takes OUR priority as Aperture Science Staff to be willing to defend this Laboratory, even if it means death."

"Im aware...But im not worried about the lab. Im worried about you. I dont want to lose you." Grayson said.

"Grayson. The last thing you should be worried about is me dying. Remember,I have a Blackbox for catastrophic shutdown."

"I mean dying for REAL. NOT being able to wake up again. I don't want to end up going it alone.."

"Then...I promise to be Still Alive when this war is over, okay?" Glados asked, shedding a sympathetic look.

Glados knew her test subject worried for her. As much as it hurt to admit she was scared as well, for valid reason. This was her first war against their financially successful foe Black Mesa. Whatever was going to happen, would effect both sides regardless of the result.

Long range sensors detected a large mass of movement over the Commonwealth. Upon satellite investigation,it was Black Mesa's "rescue" party. Half an army, countable with at least 500 soldiers and a small collection of militath vehicles that had survived all these years.

"They expect to win like THAT?" Glados queried, almost snickering under her breath.

"Humans have confidence. Such a concept is dangerous to you if just ONE person gets this far." Graysom said.

"We have numbers. 10,000 of us,against 500 of them." Glados said.

"And if those odds boiled down to just 1 of them vs us?" Grayson queried.

"They will be as lucky,if not luckier than you are, with preserverence to match. I could only hope you could stop them." Glados said.

Grayson nods gently, picking up what looked to be a specialized SCAR-L,built to output energy, rather than projectiles.

"Type C 450V Weaponized battery, converted energy pulse emitter with x20 magnified lense..Target seeker AND Secondary laserfire mode?! You really didnt save any expense, did you?" Grayson asked as he anylised the weapon.

"Absolutely none. MY best gets the best, and nothing less." Glados said.

"Speaking of which, say hello to our generals."

Two female drones, and one male drone stride in. They were reminiscent of the common soldier, with no helmet and a distinct color to tell them apart.

"Red,Green,Yellow,this is your commander,White."

Red was a female drone that almost mirrored Glados herself, the changes were a height difference that rendered her shorter than her creator's,and her white hair had a red highlight to further diffrentiate..

Yellow resembled Grayson, only slightly with shorter black hair and yellow highlight.

Green, the other female drone was relatively the same to Glados, the only key difference being green optics.

"Okay,THAT'S going to get confusing." Grayson said.

"Why'd you model them after us instead of using Atlas and P-body's models?"

"Unfortunately, despite the uses they could have, its because of their bodies that they cant fight. If just one soldier got their hands on an Atlas or P-body type drone, they'd send more out against us." Glados explains.

"And what stops them with models built after us?" Grayson asked.

"They'd be forced to capture the drone alive, and even then, all it takes is them initiating a self destruction protocol. As to prevent data capture, the brain is Protonic, with a nanobot injector to quickly destroy any and all data within the drone. By the time they manage to access the drone,it will be a dead shell."

"How are we different from them?" He asked.

"We use BiOS (BiO-Operation System) Chips, which can be easily transferred remotely."

"So if we're captured, all we need is a signal to escape?" Grayson asked.

"Yes and no. It must be at least a computer capable of processing incoming data and output at least twice of what it can intake. This is to ensure the entirety of our engrams survive the process. IF we can get within 5 kilometers of the laboratory in those kinds of extremes, both of us will have readymade copies." Glados said.

"You've thought of everything, haven't you?" Grayson asked.

"You shouldn't expect any less from me. Im a professional unlike that military laboratory wannabe Black Mesa."

"And I hold you to your word on that." Grayson said.

Just as they did,a distant explosion shakes the lab, causing all drones patrolling the halls to start thundering past.

Red,Green and Yellow join their comrades,Grayson heading to follow their lead when he was grabbed by the shoulder.

"Not you. Not yet, anyway." Glados beckoned as she turns him around, lowering herself to his height. She gently caresses his cheek, staring into his eyes,"I need you to come back...ALIVE,okay? This isnt a command...Its a request...hell...i hate myself for saying this...but I beg you to come back to me.." She said as emotion started to fill her voice. All the while she lovingly rubbed his cheek, staring into his eyes lovingly now.

Grayson leans his head into her touch. Glados gently hugs him, giving a firm squeeze, and almost reluctantly releasing him.

Glados smiles gently,"Give them hell for me,okay?"

Grayson nods gently as he primes the rifle he was given, and joins the amassing robot army.
