A New Monster Appears!

The students making their way towards the Primary field once again, it was now time for the next test to start.

Thinking back earlier, Sam couldn't help but frown once more, as to what had just happened.

With the announcement that Sam had encountered a bug and then given a passing grade, he and three other people were confused on why Sams score was not released. Looking at the Sergeant, Sam didn't know whether if he should be happy or depressed over a passing from his failed grade.

Not getting an explanation, the Sergeant had moved onto the next test which was the battle ability test. Compared to the other tests, everyone started to exude more confidence as that fighting head on was their forte. Even Sam had started to bring out his killing intent which he had suppressed, as he started to get excited about having a match against people as strong as him.

"The Battle Ability Test will be straightfoward, each student will face off another through ballots and as they win a match, they will preogress through the test. How many matches you can afford to win will be counted as your grade for this test."

"So to not wast anymore time, we will now begin with the ballots. Everyone come up to me one by one and accept one."

A ballot sphere had started appearing in the middle of the field presenting a random amount of paper inside. The moment the ballot had stopped moving, it was time for the students to pick their ballot and see whom they will be up against for their test.

One by one, students had already taken their ballot revealing their number which had reacted to their opponents paper. Seeing this, some had gulped while others had grinned well aware of the strengths of their ballot taker.

Walter had gotten his Ballot which had reacted to a bald figure stretching just a few meters away as they started a staring contest amongst one another. While Soraya had happened to be up against an old friend, skinnier in figure.

Non coincidentally, Sam was the last person to take the only remaining piece of paper inside of the ballot sphere. Looking at his paper which had reacted to his opponent, Sam could only sigh.

"Now that everyone has taken their ballots! Round one will begin!"

Announcing the start of the third test, two figures had walked up to the center part of the field which put them in the attention span of the whole Unit, one who was fashioned somewhere Gothic, while the other had an exuding aura to himself affecting anyone nearby.

Usually, a crowd of tens of people staring at you would bring nervousness and unease as it would mess with your efficiency in battle and tactics, but who were to say they were normal humans. Every single student who had been recruited by the military into this Unit, had each their own specialty and strength unique to themselves. So it wouldn't be surprising if they weren't affected at all by the crowd.

"Ready? Start!"

With the battle commencing, both had rushed to engage in a heated battle so to seem. As they collided, the Gothic student had suddenly dissipated in front of his opponent seemingly like he had never existed which had confused the man lividly.

Looking around from every direction, the mans guard was kept high as he wouldn't underestimate this weird looking fellow. Suddenly, as the same way he disappeared, he came out again without a presence swinging his leg towards the neck of the man. As if he expected to land the hit knocking his opponent out swiftly, he felt his leg forcibly grabbed and swung to the surrounding crowd.

BANG!

A loud noise had erupted as he landed on the hard ground in a heavy manner. With inspection as the dust cloud dispersed, the Gothic student was no longer there once again displaying his stealth abilities.

"The same trick won't work on me twice!" The man shouted in anger, as his aura began widening bringing cold sweat to the surrounding students.

As the man said his line, his vision began blacking out, out of nowhere. With his remaining will power, he could only scream internally. 'But how?!'

Boom

The man had tumbled on the ground unconscious.

"The winner has been decided!"

WAHHHHHHH! The crowd of students had gone into an uproar, as even the first battle was on such a level. Even Sam started wondering with how he could find a way to beat such a guy, instead bringing him excitement as he looked forward to the man he was expected to go against.

"Who is that guy?"

"I've never noticed him before."

"I know, he was part of our group in the Tactics test, his name is Ern Willstein!"

"Hahahha! We once more have an unexpected monster to worry about..."

The students began discussing the topic of the new and upcoming addition of the term 'Monster'.

Ern Willstein.

Hearing all this, the Gothic student who had won, took a moment in silence until he glanced at Sam raising a finger pointing at him. If one were to understand thoughtfully, he was provoking him. Seeing this, everyone further increased their discussions.

"That's enough, let's move on to the next battle!"

Bringing silence to the crowd, the Sergeant began eyeing the two students who were termed Monster and one Moron. He deeply wondered why the Old man had purposely pulled strings to put them up against each other. Disregarding the thought, he continued assessing the battles as they had gone one by one.

An hour earlier...

"In the upcoming test, I want you to find a way to put Ern Willstein against Sam Heart." A hollow yet ecstatic voice was heard addressing a matter to a bulky man which was known to be Sergeant Zhu.

"But sir, Ern will definitely bring down Sam with the power he possesses. It would not matter if he was the first in the endurance test, no one in the Unit, even part veterans wouldn't be able to handle Ern." The Sergeant had said in worry.

"He has the same power as Ern, Zhu. I know it."
