Goodbye to the hope (Seven)

Pulling out my duffel bags I began to pack, I couldn’t take the other suitcases because they would attract attention. Two bags, that’s all I needed, one for weapons another for clothes. Having known this day would come I had saved every amount of money I had received as a plan B, putting it in accounts would draw attention, and if I disappeared they would use it to find me. I had stolen a car years ago and had work done on it, everything needed was stashed in there. Pulling out a pen and paper I began to write:

Dear Ms. Loyn.

I’m so dearly sorry for disappearing the same way I appeared. I just couldn't bring pain into your life. Thank you so much for all you've done.

R.

A sigh escaped my very lips as I signed. Everywhere I went someone got hurt silently. I only had a month to graduate and I couldn't do it. Fuck! I shoved the bags out the window and opened my door silently. I walked quickly and quietly to the kitchen. Placed the keys on the table and walked to Ms. Loyn’s room. She was silently asleep, dark marks around her eyes. I leaned down and kissed her forehead.

“I love you so much. Thank you" I whispered. I walked out hurrying back to my room. I placed the note on the bed and jumped out the window. I landed on with a roll as I had learned years ago. I picked up my duffel bags and pulled up my hoodie. As I began jogging down the street I noticed a black SUV following me.

"Why does everyone want to fucking kill me?" I muttered.

The car beeped and I turned to find James walking out of the car. James the school’s hot boy. Everyone had been pinning us together for prom but we had barely even spoken. We were both alike, quiet and observers. I pulled out the best fake smile I could and rubbed my shoulder feeling my knife that I had tied there.

"Le-ucy" he greeted, failing to cover the error he had made, my real name.

"Hey! James, what’s up?" I asked.

"I was heading home and I see you running like a mad girl. Where you off too?" He said as he walked towards me.

"Oh, I need to get downtown…to fetch Ms. Loyns car. She forgot it and yeah...hey." I said.

"And the duffel bags?" He asked curiously.

"Oh, they just her things," I said hurriedly.

"Okay... do you need a ride?" He asked.

"Umm no I need a walk anyway..." I said as I began walking backwards. “It’s not an issue, I’ll drop you off.” He said as he continued walking to me.“No really-

"Lucy it's 4 fucking miles away. Come in I’ll drop you off." He snapped. He walked towards me and grabbed the duffel bags.

"Shit what’s in here? weapons?" He asked as he put them in the back.

I followed him just to avoid harming him. The last thing I needed was to kill someone in the street that had given me hope. He drove silently and I was grateful for being greedy for the drink called silence. My mind was trying to figure out how he knew my real name.

As we got closer I asked him to drop me off outside.

"Lucy wait," James said hurriedly as I clicked my seat belt off. "What?"

"I wanted to ask you to the graduation party. Be my date?" He asked.

I couldn't risk coming back. I knew people here would search for a 'Lucy Jackson'. I wasn't her.

I looked at him deeply and I instantly knew that he knew me. The real me. I wasn't safe any longer.

I pulled James closer and kissed him. I felt him hesitate but soon relax holding me. He instantly deepened it and grabbed my arse. I straddled him and moaned when I felt how aroused he was.

"Jeez, I want you so bad!" He moaned as he nibbled on my neck.

I pretended as if I was about to pull off my shirt but pulled my knife and stabbed his shoulder. "AHH!" He screamed.

Another to his thigh

Another to his kneecaps.

"Ro Ro-Ro

And Go

Watch your step and feel.

The way it hurts to clutch your chest

As blood seeps out your skin..." I sang mimicking the nursery song.

Okay, that doesn't rhyme but I suddenly felt the need to protect and kill for fun. I might as well make a pun out of it.

I stabbed his other shoulder as he desperately tried to get me off but he was losing blood so fast. It made him weak with each passing second. I could see the life draining from his very eyes.

"How pretty to see blood spill out yet I don't remember bleeding myself," I whispered. "How do you know my real name?" I asked trailing my fingers towards the other knife on his body. Which to choose, which to choose.

"My boss...he wants you working with him. Yo-u are a big hit! A b-i-g sto-ry. Ever since you killed your father and some guys during the year you ran away." He said hurriedly.

"Its’ step-father. Now, who's Justine and Adam?" I asked. He kept quiet. Choosing the knife on his shoulder, I pushed the knife deeper into his skin.

"Shit! Okay! Justine is the boss's son yet you kind of knickered him on the shoulder and tigh. Adam works for the good side. He's a freaking captain. Both sides want you. Please don't kill me." He sobbed.

Weak ass wimp.

"There's nothing wrong with having a weak side." He said as though reading my thoughts. "No there isn't but there's something wrong with letting it stay your weak side," I said as I pulled out and pushed the knife in his chest.

"Bye James," I whispered as he closed his eyes. I got off him and pulled my duffel bags out. I checked around and noticed no one was around. I pulled my knife out and got out. Looking through my bag, I found what I was searching for... a grenade. Opening the gas panel to mislead people into thinking the car caused it. Once I was a fair distance I threw it in. The bomb exploded once I was in my car.

Goodbye to the hope of starting my life again.

Dialing a number on my banner phone, I waited for the answer as I drove.

"What?!" It screeched.

"No hello? Bloody bitch! I'm coming over!" I said.

"You shitting me?" It asked

"Does it sound like I am? I need help. I'm coming over." I said dropping the phone and I drove out the garage.
