"What do you mean?" Steve asks, not liking what Tom is saying at all.

"Let's be honest here. The only reason you weren't a lab rat dedicated to the recreation of the super-soldier serum is your ability to earn money for the war. With that war over, you're no longer needed. Those that backed you will have no legs to stand on anymore. Even if you were to be left alone by the American Government, which is unlikely, third party's like companies and other countries will most likely come after you. What happens when your children are playing in the backyard and a team of highly trained mercenaries comes knocking?" Tom explains and Steve just sat there stunned.

"As we speak, I can guarantee you that many countries are trying to recreate what Erskine did to you. They would give almost anything to get just the smallest sample of your blood. Hell, they would trade their own children just to get a bit of your hair." Steve's eyes widened as Tom said this. "Then there's the fact that wars will always occur. Territories to plunder, money to gain, religious disputes, and let's not forget good old fashion revenge. As long as humans exist on this earth, wars will always be fought. When the next one starts, are you going to join? If you want no part in it, will the government give you the option to decline? I think not." Tom shakes his head and crosses his legs.

Steve looked horrified at everything Tom said. At first, he didn't want to believe, but the longer Tom spoke, the more he started seeing sense in his words.

Druella looked sad for Steve's situation. She could tell Tom wants something out of this, but her mouth would stay sealed.

"Now that you understand your situation, I would like to offer you a place in my organization." Tom says and Steve looks at him warily.

"You want me to become one of your followers? Do I get a mask and a dress as well?" Steve joked with sarcasm heavy in his voice.

"Sure, if you want them." Tom smirks as he pictures Steve in wizarding robes. "As for becoming a follower, no you wouldn't be able to. My followers swear an oath of loyalty to me on their magic. You cannot do that, as you have none."

"You're telling me, if those guys break their magical oath to you, they lose their magic forever?" Steve asks shockingly.

"Yes, do you know who those people are in my society? They are the filth that has been spreading anti-muggle hate for many years. They come from families that would rape, torture, and kill normal human beings for simply existing. I took control of them and have been rehabilitating them ever since. I think I've done fairly well too. They just fought a battle alongside muggles and didn't even complain to me a single time. I think I even saw a few of them fraternizing with your men. The wizarding world is far from perfect, but I'm trying my best to move it in the right direction." Tom said proudly.

"Alright, so what would I be? If I wouldn't be one of your followers, that is?" Steve asked, unsure whether to accept or not.

"You would be a member of a team I'm putting together. I would be the team leader and you would be the vice-leader. The vice-captain so to speak." Tom declares and Steve looks confused.

Druella looks confused as well. Tom has said nothing about this to her, but that isn't anything new. Tom likes to keep his secrets close.

"A team? For what?" Steve asks.

"I've seen the future Steve and it is not pretty. There are far more dangerous things out there than Red Skull and Gellert Grindelwald. My followers would move in the dark while the team I put together will stand in the light. Of course, we have a good amount of time before anything bad happens." Tom reveals, causing Druella to become shocked.

'If Tom has the gift to see, then why didn't he take divination?' She thought.

"Wizards can see the future as well?" Steve asked.

"It's something you either have or you don't. It does run in some wizarding families though." Druella answered.

"So, what? You know of something bad coming, so you're preparing for it?" Steve asked.

"Yes, other than that, I'm also trying to fix the magical world and someday reveal it to the rest of the world. That will take time though. The times when witches and Wizards were hunted and killed by the church and its followers are still very clear in my people's minds." Tom reveals.

"What? That stuff was real?" Steve asked.

"Yes and no. The absurd claims they came up with to prove someone was a witch were all horse sh*t." Tom says and Steve seemed to just realize there's more to the world than he already knew. "We're getting off-topic and we don't want Peggy thinking you're dead longer than needed. I want you as the vice-leader of my team. I have already seen some prospective members, but I'm a busy man. I need someone by my side that can help run things and you are the perfect man for the job."

Druella looked sad that she wasn't chosen as the vice-leader. She's been with Tom for a while and was hurt she wasn't chosen. This didn't go unnoticed by Tom.

"Druella is my second in command when it comes to my followers." Tom says proudly as he puts his arm around her shoulder. "I need you to be second in command when it comes to the team."

Tom sighed in relief as he saw Druella smile at his words. She didn't seem hurt by his choice anymore.

"Hmm, can I have the night to make my decision?" Steve asks.

"Of course. Think carefully because this will affect the rest of your life. We can do a lot of good together Steve." Tom says as he hopes he'll receive the answer he's looking for. "Mimsy!"

*pop*

"Yes, Master!" Mimsy appears to answer her masters call.

"Send some elves to fetch Peggy Carter. She's probably at the Allied Forces headquarters in London. If she isn't there, find where the search team is that's looking for Steve. She's probably with them." Tom orders and Mimsy pops away to get the job done.

Steve looked shocked at Tom's actions. He thought that Tom would make him wait to see Peggy until he made his decision.

"You and her will stay the night and tell me your decision tomorrow. Feel free to speak with her about our conversation and ask for advice. When she arrives, Mimsy will show you to your room. If you need anything during your stay, just call for Mimsy and she'll get you anything you need. At the moment, you're missing and presumed dead. I would like to keep it that way until you've made your decision, so no contacting anyone outside this Manor, alright?" Tom asks and receives a nod.

Seeing Steve agree, he gets up and walks out of the room with Druella beside him.

"Where are you going?" Steve asks curiously.

"I promised to take Druella on a date."
