Tom decided to take Druella on a muggle style date. A movie and dinner. Best to keep things simple.

They went to Slytherin Manor and picked up the car he stole from hydra and opened a portal to Los Angeles.

Due to the war raging in Europe, Tom couldn't find any good places to take Druella for a date.

After thinking for a bit, Tom decided to take her to a drive-in movie. Drive-ins would die out in the future, so he thought it best to experience it now while it's just becoming popular.

Driving through the streets of LA with Druella as his copilot was fun. She would point and look at every new and interesting scenery.

Although Tom hasn't driven much in this world, he's fully capable thanks to his other soul's past life.

Druella hasn't been to the US before, nor has she been in muggle society very much. Even the clothes she's wearing now were picked up by a house-elf.

Seeing street lights and cars all over the road was fun and new to her. As they pulled into the drive-in, Tom looked over at his date.

"Have you ever seen a movie before?" Tom asks and Druella looked at him in confusion.

"Are they those moving pictures I've heard about?" Druella asks and Tom nods to her. "No, I've never seen one. What's so great about it though? We have moving pictures as well. There's many of them in Hogwarts too."

"It's not that type of moving picture, Drue." Tom corrects her. "Think of movies as a play that was recorded as a moving picture with sound."

"Oh, so you're taking me to see a play!?" Druella asked excitedly.

She's been to many plays in the wizarding world with her parents. They would go all the time before Grindelwald turned the world into a giant battlefield.

"Yup, let's get some snacks before the movie starts." Tom said as he paid a fee to get in.

Once they got their popcorn, drinks, and candies, they returned to the car and awaited the beginning of the movie.

Many of the muggles parked around them looked at Toms car with envy. A few motorheads actually came up to them to ask about it, but Tom politely shooed them away.

The movie that is showing is a romance. Tom doesn't really care for them, but this is a date after all. Once the movie began, Druella was immediately drawn to the screen.

She couldn't believe that muggles came up with something so incredible. Thoughts of why they hadn't come up with something like this swirled in her mind. The wizarding world could easily make movies like this. They already have moving pictures, but they would have to be tweaked a bit. All that's left to add is sound and find people skilled enough to direct and act in a play.

That wouldn't be too hard, as most actors and directors in Europe are out of a job because of the war. Theatres have been destroyed by bombs and many performers have either moved or passed away.

Thoughts of starting her own movie business in the wizarding world started popping up in her mind.

'I'll talk to Tom about it later.' She thought as she started paying more attention to the movie.

Halfway through the movie, Druella was in tears. The couple in the movie just broke up because of a misunderstanding, but the man never had the chance to explain himself.

Meanwhile, Tom was sitting there unaffected. Something like this happens in every movie. The couple has a montage of falling in love, something happens to break them up, and next thing you know the guy is running to an airport to confess his love and clear everything up. He's seen it all before.

Although, Tom was very thankful for this overused plot. Due to the emotional scenes, Druella needed some comforting so Tom held her throughout the movie.

When the happy ending finally arrived, Druella was happy again and smiling brightly.

As they were driving out of the movie, Druella was ranting and raving about how she loved muggle movies.

"They're so much better than plays!" She excitedly bounced in her seat.

"I take it you liked the movie?" Tom smirked as he drove down the road looking for a place to eat.

The date was a last-minute thing, so he didn't have time to look into restaurants. With a sigh, Tom picked a random restaurant and hoped it was good.

When dinner ended, Tom took Druella for a drive in his beautiful car. He told himself that the drive was for the date, but it was really for himself. He wanted to use the car and show it off. Everyone they passed would point and look at it, which just goes to show how awesome this car is.

'Red Skull had good taste.' Tom thought as they drove around LA at night.

While driving, Druella started explaining her idea to start a movie business.

"That sounds great, Drue. If you want help working on it, just let me know. It would be cool to see what we could create with magic. Many of the special effects done in movies could be easily done with magic after all." Tom encourages her.

"Special effects?" Druella asks.

"Oh, that's right. We just saw a romance movie, so there wasn't any special effect to admire. Think of it like this. If we saw an fantasy movie about wizards like us, Muggles would try to imitate magic using whatever they can. Conjuring fire would be done by setting something on fire and making it look like the actor did it. With magic, we could just use what we already have to do that. You could even make movies for muggles like that and they would be amazed." Tom explains.

"Wouldn't that go against the statute of secrecy?" Druella asks.

"No, muggles would just think it's special effects. You wouldn't be revealing anything." Tom says as he looks at the clock in the car. "It's almost midnight. We should probably get back. Your father is probably having a heart attack as we speak."

"Hehe, he was not happy when I said I was going on a date." Druella laughs as she pictures her father's horrified expression.

"Yeah, im sure that if I wasn't his lord, he would have said and tried to do some very horrible things to me." Tom laughs.

After finding a secluded area, Tom opened a portal to the driveway of Rosier Manor. As the portal closed behind them, he pulls the car to a stop and looks over at Druella.

"Umm... thanks for the..." She tries to awkwardly say something, but Tom shuts her up with a kiss.

Once again, nothing crazy. Just a peck on the lips. Druella forgot what she was saying as the awkward atmosphere disappears.

On the second floor of the manor in one of the windows, stood Lady Rosier peaking out at her daughter and her Lord. She was beyond happy with how things are going.

At first, she wasn't that happy about Tom, but after experiencing the way he treats his followers and hearing about how he killed Grindelwald, she was happy her daughter locked him down before other hussies come pouring in.

When they left for the date, she contacted many of her friends that keep up with the latest gossip, and news of Grindelwald's death was already circulating. The name Tom Riddle was being sung and praised everywhere in the magical world.

Back in the car, Tom pulled back and looked at Druella's flushed cheeks.

"With this our night has come to an end. Goodnight, Drue." Tom says as he reaches over and opens the door for her.

"Goodnight." She replies as she gets out and practically skips to the door.
