C223 Finally Leaving Gringotts!

*2 - I apologies about the long Gringotts arc. I didn't mean for it to get so long. Initially I wanted it to be special for each ring and vault, but that turned into a million chapters, so I'm sorry about that. The latest chapters are getting into Asgard BTW. Just a small spoiler for you guys. Once again sorry it got dragged out. I'll do my best so that doesnt happen again.*

Testing the spellbook for half an hour, Druella finds that it can shrink into the size of a small charm, hanging off the silver chain bracelet inconspicuously, which will help keep the book hidden in plain sight until it's needed.

She also found that she doesn't yet have access to the entire book. Druella seems to only have access to the first page and can't even turn the pages to the second and beyond.

Testing the first spell of the book, Druella opened to the first page and read a quick incantation.

"Abjuration of Disorder!" She says with a pointed wand aimed at an emptied bookshelf, but nothing happens.

"It seems that you need more practice." Tom says as he eyes the book hanging on her wrist. "Maybe the next page will unlock when you master the first spell?"

"Alright, I'll practice when I have time." Druella says as she puts her wand away.

"Okay, just call me before training so I can make sure the book isn't doing anything to you. At least for the first few times." Tom warns her worriedly.

"Sure, but should we leave now? I've finished with my side of the vault. I made a pile of interesting things near the entrance already." Druella asks.

"Yeah, I already finished my side as well. Let's leave everything here for now. Our trunks are already packed from the Pendragon vault after all. We'll come back another day to sort through everything, or I can send some elves." Tom thought as he's too lazy to sort through everything.

Leaving the vault, Tom and Druella meet up with the goblins, who escort them out of Gringotts.

Throughout the journey up the mine shafts, the goblins tried to start some casual conversation laced with questions about the vaults here and there.

Of course, Tom either ignores them or misdirected with a random conversation.

Before leaving the bank, Tom pocketed his Slytherin and Le Fay ring. He planned to keep them a secret after all.

The Pendragon ring stayed proudly on his finger, as he was escorted to the bank's lobby, which was still packed with people.

Striding past the crowd, Tom and Druella left the bank. Many of the people they passed noticed the thick Lord ring and the sword hanging from Tom's waist.

Many in the crowd rushed out of the bank and headed towards the Daily Prophet in order to be the first to sell the information for a pretty penny.

Leaving the bank, Tom and Druella apparated to the front yard of Rosier Manor.

The trip to the bank was great for both Tom and Druella. Not only did they get a ton of gold and other precious things, but each of them also received a rare and powerful weapon.

Tom got the sword of victory itself, Excalibur, and Druella got Morgana's spellbook, which isn't as good as Excalibur but definitely still powerful in its own right.

They also got a new Basilisk, who will be put on Druella guard duty. Although, Tom will have to be sure she won't betray them before putting her to work.

Tom did kill her mother after all.

"I'd say that was a very fruitful day." Tom states as they enter the Manor.

"Yeah, I can't believe I have Morgana Le Fays spellbook..." Druella says as she stares at the charm-sized book hanging on her wrist.

As they come inside, they're met with Druellas mother and father.

""My Lord!"" They say in unison with a small bow.

As they bow, both of them spot the ring on Tom's finger and sword at his waist.

"M-my Lord, are those what I think they are?" Lady Rosier asks with a shocked expression.

"Yes, they are." Tom says as he can trust his followers since they swore an oath. Not to mention that these followers will be his in-laws sooner or later.

While Druella explained to her parents a bit about what happened today, Tom received a telepathic message from the followers he sent to rob Hepzibah Smith, who he was told bought his mother's locket.

They managed to get what Tom wanted without getting caught or spilling any blood.

Tom ordered them to bring the goods to Rosier Manor while he sat back and waited.

Druella had just finished explaining what happened today to her parents, who were eyeing Excalibur with shock and awe present in their gaze.

Who could blame them? It is Excalibur after all.

"Can I hold it?" Lord Rosier asked with hope shining in his eyes.

"Sure." Tom agrees easily, wanting to know what happens when someone else tries to carry or take the sword.

Unsheathing the sword and handing it to his future father-in-law, Lord Rosier grabs the handle and pulls it out of Tom's grasp.

The second the sword leaves Tom's hand, its weight seems to increase and stabs into the floor, pulling Lord Rosier down with it.

"Ugh!" He grunts as Excalibur drags him downward. "I guess I'm unworthy, huh?"

"I don't really know what the criteria is, so maybe?" Tom shrugs as he pulls the sword from the floor and sheathes it on his hip.

Suddenly, a knock at the door could be heard, breaking everyone from their contemplation about the sword.

"That should be for me. Can you let them in and bring them here?" Tom asks Lady Rosier, who nods and swiftly goes to welcome the guests.

A few moments later, a group of his followers come in, escorted by Lady Rosier.

"My Lord, we've completed our mission." The lead man says with a bow as he handed over a pouch.
