Moon's Twenty-Seventh Misfortune

One of the cultivators widened his eyes and shouted out to the other cultivators, but he was too late. Just as they sent their strongest attacks at her, Aquila suddenly dodged. Because she hadn't dodged any of the earlier attacks, all the attacks were aimed straight at her and was easy to avoid. The mass of attacks instead shot towards the cultivators blocking the entrance. Seeing that, they widened their eyes as they immediately moved away, none of them wanting to face all these attacks head-on and unprepared.

Aquila took this opportunity and shot out of the cavern. Once out, she was like a fish back in the water. The water washed off all the blood on her body and she felt reinvigorated being in this water brimming with energy. Doing a flip in the water, she waited calmly for the cultivators to come out.

The water was her second home back then. Especially since none of the cultivators here could cultivate water, she was certain that in here, none of them could touch her. Not only would their speed and movement be greatly hindered, but their attacks would also be much weaker as well. Therefore, it would be even harder to catch her once the battlefield was changed to the water.

And she was absolutely correct. Even with a dozen cultivators chasing and attacking her, their attacks couldn't even get close to her. Let alone catch her, even hitting her was now impossible.

With their attacks slashing through the water and dissipating, the water was roiling. As the water calmed down, the cultivators realized that they had lost the girl. Hiding amidst the water, Aquila had made use of the turbulent waters and escaped deeper down.

As the blonde haired man walked out of the cavern and swam towards the group of cultivators, all of them could only bow their heads in shame. They had far outnumbered her and were stronger than her, but the girl still managed to escape from them.

Seeing the group of cultivators staying silent while bowing their heads, the blonde-haired man knew what had happened.

Seeing the blonde-haired man looking at them wordlessly, one of the cultivators couldn't help speaking up.

"We apologize, sir. We are ashamed to say that the girl got away."

"Mm... you need to work on your group work. If you had worked together, you could have captured her. But you allowed her to escape."

In his mind, the blonde-haired man silently praised her. He already knew that she had cut off the tracking spell within her, which could only say that she had known there was a tracking spell within her.

"Yes sir! We will work hard, sir!"

Looking up at the surface of the water, the man mentally added, 'Well, the girl got away from so many of the Silvermoon family's people and was still doing so well. She naturally can't be anything normal.'

Down here, Aquila was now standing in front of another line of words; 'Moon's Twenty-Seventh Misfortune'.

The pressure level down here was tenfold that of the pressure on the nineteenth cavern, and Aquila dropped down onto the twenty-seventh cavern as soon as she reached the cave entrance. Her chest heaved as she gasped for breath for several seconds before calming down. By now, the color had returned to her face and she looked more-or-less healthy again. If not for the numerous cuts all over her body and her ripped clothing, it would be hard to tell that she was uninjured based on her current facial expression.

Standing up again, Aquila walked back to the cavern entrance and sat down with her legs hanging in the water. Smiling lightly, she looked down at her hands where a faintly glowing semicircle had appeared. Focusing on the energy making up the semicircle, Aquila realized that she could freely move and shape the energy into whatever she wanted. The higher she was on the Moonlight Cycle, the more energy she could control and shape.

'Huh... interesting... this is... a lot simpler than how things work on stars...'

Aquila wasn't particularly impressed by this energy system on Kepler. In her opinion, it was really basic and didn't give its users as many options or personalization, as everyone used the exact same type of energy.

'Well... I can't be complaining now, can I? I didn't even know what this energy was when I first got here...'

Thinking that, Aquila rolled her eyes at herself as she flexed her fingers. The semicircle above her palm stretched itself into a simple dagger shape. Grabbing it out of the air, Aquila felt its weight in her hand as she twisted the hilt. Made out of her own energy, the dagger was extremely light to hold, but Aquila could tell that it should be able to do quite some damage. Flicking it in her hand, she threw it behind her towards a wall. The energy dagger that she threw struck the wall and left a small dent before falling onto the ground. Glancing behind her, a small smile appeared on Aquila's face as the dagger transformed into swirls of energy and returned to hover above her hand. Absorbing the energy back into her hand, Aquila lightly pushed off the ground with her hands and fell back into the water.

Looking downwards, Aquila began swimming further down again. However, just as she passed by the thirtieth cavern, a huge energy pressure pushed upwards from the bottom of this mini sea. All around her, Aquila could hear exclamations of shock and surprise, as the pressure was so strong that everyone was sent flying out of the water. Even those in the caverns weren't spared.

Aquila reacted instinctively the split second she felt the incoming pressure wave. Tucking her legs up to her chest, she curled her body up as her body shot out of the water. Because she was relatively prepared, she was able to control her body as she did a somersault in midair and landed on her bare feet gently on the cavern ground. Beside her, many people landed heavily on the ground as well. Some people hit the ceiling or cavern walls and passed out. A couple unfortunate people even flew right onto a stalagmite or stalactite and were pierced through.
