Chapter 10. Lin Jitian Vs Kui Yang

Spotting me with two most beautiful and talented girl of our class, many boys gave me a scrutinising look. Even students from another class peered at me.

"Looks like someone's garnering quite a lot of attention."

"Attention I don't want." I rolled my eyes at Xiurong.

Afterwards, my eyes roamed and examined every student from other class. There were four people at 10th Level of Body Refinement Realm, two boys and two girls. Particularly, I examined the girls but I didn't find their beauty as pleasing as Xiurong's so I lost interest pretty quickly.

"So everyone's here. Okay, so I will tell you the rule of this pointer exchange. At one time, one student from each class will go and fight each other till one is unconscious or submits. No treasure weapons are allowed, no poison, no killing, all are strictly prohibited. Expulsion for those who break this rule.

First a person from our class go on stage, and will choose a similar or above levelled opponent from other class. Remember, the purpose of this activity is to give you a battle experience, no killing."

Our class teacher, Yun Xiaodao explained everything and after a short discussion which I didn't participate, it was decided a disciple at 5th Level Body Refinement Realm will go on the stage first.

...

Everything was going fine with fights, I was having fun talking to Xiurong and occasionally Qinlian also joined in until we heard a loud noise, along with the crackling of bones.

I looked at the stage. A disciple at 9th Level of Body Refinement Realm from our class was writhing on the stage in pain, his forearm was twisted 180 degrees back. I didn't felt an ounce of pity for the guy, and simply glanced at the opponent. Surprisingly, he was also looking at me or rather beside me, to girls. Duh.

"What are you doing? Don't you think you are being excessively violent." Before our talk began, Lin Jitian started, glaring directly at the guy on stage.

"Kui Yang, pleasure to make your acquaintance. And replying to your question, I don't think so. He picked the person a level higher on purpose, I went easier on him and taught a small lesson." The guy name Kui Yang has short black hair and he was quite tall. His tone made it seem like he was doing a favour to the guy he beat down.

I was calmly listening to their interaction. Xiurong told me that this Kui Yang was possibly a trained fighter, he was also quite dexterous with knives.

Listening to Lin Jitian constant arguing back with none of the teachers interfering them, I wondered how long would this continue.

Finally, after quite some exchange in words, Lin Jitian snapped. "If you don't understand, then I will make you." And jumped on the stage. Many mindless lasses from both classes whistled and had a dreamy faces etched onto them because of his righteous display. The girls on my side were not a bit impressed though. In fact, following the initial interest, they resumed conversing with each other, not regarding the dispute any longer.

"Lin Jitian, I will be exchanging pointers with you next." Saying so, he unsheathed his blade and got into a combat stance.

On the other side, Kui Yang has a very passive, full of opening stance. Clearly, even though they both were at 10th Level of Body Refinement, he wasn't putting Lin Jitian in his eyes. Well, Lin Jitian did looked a run-of-a-mill example of sheltered prince with righteous attitude, probably he didn't have much battle experience.

"You will pay the price for your arrogance." Lin Jitian snorted, and with a set of complex footwork weaved towards Kui Yang. He had a slightly shocked expression. Even I can tell that Lin Jitian's footwork was a high level one, and it was well-practiced to boot.

Kui Yang's knives danced around in both arms as he ducked and side-stepped the incoming waves of swords. Although he was getting cuts, it wasn't deep. He didn't lose focus and within due time, his eyes flashed. He found an opening in the consecutive attack of Lin Jitian.

Lin Jitian wasn't receding the intensity of his attacks, each wave contained enough power to create a whooshing sound, whistling through air. So when Kui Yang attacked in his blindspot suddenly, he couldn't able to evade in time.

Screeching his teeth, he grabbed his waist where the cut appeared. He quickly gained balance, only to find the hilt of knife inches below his jaw. Again, before he backtrack, the hilt crashed against his chin, strong enough to break multiple tooth in process.

"Ugh...!" While spitting teeth and blood, he flew back out of the stage and passed out.

"Humph. Trash." Kui Yang snorted and in the heat of moment, aimed his knife at me. "You seem stronger than him. Come and fight me." His eyes sifted between me and girls.

I smirked lightly. Seems like he want to impress the girls by stepping on me.

A wrong choice.

"Xiao Bai, do you want to fight him?" Yun Xiaodao asked me, his eyes neutral even though his disciples were beaten ruthlessly.

"Sure." Not like I had a choice, I couldn't not fight if my opponent desires it so much.

"At least, you know when to man up." Kui Yang gave a sneer.

I ignored his taunt and stood up to go towards stage. But before I took off, I turned towards Qinlian, and pointed at my sword. "Do you have a non-girlish sword?"
