New beginnings.

*huff* *huff* *huff* Osiris who was now far away from the battle was laying on the cold floor out of breath from running away. Each breath he took sounded like your grandfather's snoring, which would keep anyone in the immediate surroundings awake.

I have never ran that much at such a high speed before, I thought that I had already discovered my limits but it seems there is something more to it. Damn, I almost died, even with this new found strength I won't stand a chance against the future hunters that will come after me. All I can do now is recover my wounds and stabilize my mentality.

"What we currently see here is what we refer to as "Subject #001", as of yet we do not know it's origin or its purpouse but it is clearly intelligent and very strong." A woman wearing a suit and holding a tablet was presenting images and videos of the battle between Osiris and the S.C.U. (Special Containment Unit), this woman belonged to the Investigation department that dealt with the supernatural, even though they weren't active much.

She was currently explaining what they have found out about from the footage that was taken from the battle.

"So far we know that it has enhanced strength far surpassing anything living currently on earth, it has advanced senses that allow it to sense danger, this was shown when it dodged a sniper bullet without even hearing the shot." She took a pause before taking a serious look on her face before she continued.

"It is also capable of speech which indicates the creature has high intelligence." What she said shocked the people who were listening to her speak. Some murmurs began to fill the room but they were all shushed when a question was asked they all were curious about.

"And how do you know this?"

The woman looked around the room before she cleared her throat and started answering the question. "When we were listening to the recording of the battle the audio picked something up, it recorded the creatures "voice", we don't have a proper name for it yet since it does not reflect any form of human speech, most likely due to the difference between its vocal cords and ours. The sound waves that the creature made were sometimes different, for example when it first made noise which sounded more or less the same as a roar from an animal but the second time it "spoke" the soundwaves were completely different from when they did the first time. The soundwaves matched our speaking rhythm perfectly yet we could not find any way to translate it, but it is currently being worked on. Although with the limited knowledge we have it is still uncertain if we will be able to translate it." (A/N : Keep in mind that this is a story and not reality, if this doesn't make sense, then don't try and compare it to real life.)

Whilst the woman was speaking on the screen behind her images of sound waves from animals, humans and the creature were shown. There was an obvious similarity between the creatures and the human sound waves.

Some of the more of the scientific people in the room nodded their heads in understanding, of course the purely political people had now clue what they were seeing but they just let the knowledgeable people handle this part, all they cared about was whether this creature would bring harm to society ones it discovers a city or a village, or if they can make a weapon out of it. Even though the military site where it was located was quite a distance away from human civilization with the creatures speed travelling there wouldn't take very long if it was headed in a straight line.

"What is the possibility that this creature isn't the only one?"

"As of yet we do not know, but we were able to research it's blood that it left behind, and according to what we were able to discover from the blood samples we were able to gather from there wasn't a single match from anything that is currently living on earth, that concludes that it didn't come from here and that there may be more out there, keep in mind that this is pure speculations and not facts." Whilst this was all going on on the screen behind the woman related pictures about what she was talking about were being shown.

Whilst this meeting was going on at the same time at the research institute of anything supernatural crisis was going on. Currently all their equipment was going haywire, something that has never happened before. Alarms were ringing and people in lab coats were running around trying to find out the origin of what was happening. At first they thought it was like any other earthquake but soon discovered it was so much more than that.

'I can feel it, but isn't this too early to begin?' Osiris who was busy recuperating in his cave started feeling the atmosphere change drastically. The event that was supposed to happen a year from now was now suddenly happening. 'What other things will change just because of my presence?'

It all started with a single earthquake, this one earthquake suddenly grew more intense by the minute, until the point where a normal human couldn't even stand straight up anymore. These earthquakes start to form everywhere, even at the places where normally an earthquake would not be able to even be felt. This quake was felt all over earth and everyone was panicking. The people who were asleep had long been awoken and the people who were enjoying breakfast were flung out of their seats.

Cars started crashing into each other and buildings that were not specially built to withstand the heaviest of earthquakes toppled over which were many, nothing wasn't affected by this massive earthquake.

Then came the storms, storms of such a magnitude that whole countries were being blacked out from the sun from one single storm. Rain, thunder and harsh winds plagued the planet. Countries where it didn't rain for years on end suddenly had floods and countries that were below or barely above sea level were flooded as the sea level had risen by tens of meters.

Due to the heavy quake the tectonic plates broke and lava came spewing out from the ground, and deep trenches were left behind as cracks started to form all over the earth. The situation was looking very grim for humanity, but as humans are sometimes very similar to cockroaches, Osiris was sure they would survive. Osiris knew they would survive as he came from the future, but the butterfly effect is something you should not mess with.

As everything started to calm down, humanity let out a sigh of relief, but you should never celebrate too early as it will bite you in the back.
