Chapter 4. Human Mate

I went straight home after my tedious shift at Rosy's, but one thing kept lingering in my mind.Adonis. Adonis. Just the smell and the way he defended me made my mouth drool. Winter was whining just by the memory of him.

"Do you think we will see mate again?" Winter asked in desperation. " I don't know, Winter, but for now let's get up stairs, then to the woods so we can stretch our legs, what do you say?" Winter started howling. "Winter?" I asked in confusion.

"Mate followed us, he is right outside our door." Instictively Winter controlled my body and looked at herself in the doorway mirror before opening the door. "Hey, I wanted to make sure you made it home safely."

"Thank You, but I haven't gotten your name yet, so I called you Adonis." Winter chuckled. Adonis blushed. " My actual name is Wolf A. Pine, nice to meet you miss?" Wolf extends his hand. "Winter let me take over, before you break his arm."

" It's Rain Winters." I shook Wolfs hand gently, but firmly. "Can I at least offer you a drink for your troubles?" I asked politely. "No need I barely moved next door, but it's nice to finally meet you Rain." I blushed. Winter took over with out me noticing. "See you around Adonis." Winter made my voice sound seductive. Wolf blushed beat red. "Laters Cleopatra." Both Winter and I flushed beat red and closed the door.

" If he lives next door, mate will probably be ours by the end of the month," Winter howled excitedly."Wow, Winter, down girl. Who knows he may have another human mate. You got to take it easy. Let's go for our run." I take my old high school back pack with me and head out the door.

I walk deeper into the woods and started to undo my clothes and put it into my back pack. Last thing I need is to rip my clothes while shifting. I ran and pounced into a wolf. Winter picked up my back pack in her snout and we started to run.

I can feel the wind blow through our fur. The strength in our legs and I can hear all the woodland creature. When suddenly I came face to face with a pack of normal wolves. They encircle me.

"Winter, there are too many of them." I said terrified. "Let me take over, I have to challenge the Alpha." Winter stomped the ground. Every wolf moved aside and a large brown Alpha came out. Of course since we are super natural, we are bigger in stature.

The big bad alpha was black in color and decided to accept our challenge. Winter snarled and the rest of the pack bended their necks to Winter. The alpha started to attack, by heading toward our throat, Winter jumped back and we lunged for his midsection.

The alpha snarled and Winter let out a larger snarl and lunged for his throat. When winter had the big bad alpha by the throat, the whole pack submitted, until finally the alpha subsided by whining and lowered his neck.

"Winter, is this pack yours?" I questioned. "It's ours, but it's best that we transform into our human form so they can know we aren't like them.We also have to go on our first hunt." We transformed and all the wolves bowed there head.

Suddenly I heard bullets in the distance, Winter and I return back into wolf form and leaded the pack away from the noise.
