Chapter 7: New Management

Michael quickly said, "Wow! I didn't mean it like that. What I mean is that I had a great secretary up until two years ago when she died from cancer. Even on her death bed she served me. I got 15 years from her.

She was family. And in the past two years I can't find a secretary that means my expectations.

But you come extremely close to it. And I owe your father."

"What," asked Carmen to him and he said, "Your father is the reason I got into the Sugar Industry with Moore Sugar, Llc. and Moore Refinery Limited.

He pulled strings and got me a factory in Louisiana. And his political connections gave me the backing to survive the Landry family in the 90's. Without him I wouldn't have built Moore Agriculture Limited.

So you meet my expectations. So when you go to HR. tell them I said to give you Inez's contract. You should have the same as what I offered her. And I expected you at my house at 9 am to pick up the contract tomorrow morning. So see tight you are an employee now."

Carmen screamed as he walked away. He went outside and Samantha was by her car.

He then said, "Sam. Why didn't you tell me that I had Jeremiah's daughter working for me?"

"Because you had to discover her. And learn that you are not alone. You still have a lot of people willing to ride with you," replied Samantha to him.

Michael exhaled and said, "Yea! Tell that to the Spartans and Tyrece. They don't want anything to do with me. I supposed it's the price for a one man war."

"You have an army. The Spartacus Syndicate is not just about you. It involves a lot of people. Bring them in and you have a win.

You have 26 years of your way and your father is still breathing. What will it hurt to try another way," replied Samantha to him.

"You gave me an idea. But for now let's get APEC off the ground and Moore Apartments & Rental Properties off the ground. We need to rake in the big numbers for Moore Corporations to grow quickly," Michael to her.

"Fine. I will talk to Gail and then I pass on the account. So they should brief you by the end of the week. So don't worry," replied Samantha to him as Michael got a text from Micah.

It said: Richmond is back but we have a problem. Meeting in the conference room.

Michael replied: Out. But will be back soon.

Samantha then asked, "Everything OK Sir?"

"I hope so. Richmond is back in town and I am hoping we won the Reigns Towers Development Project. 900 million would go a far way," replied Michael to her.

Samantha then said, "I wouldn't bet on it. Richmond is the CLO not a business or accounts manager."

"Yes! But his background is in corporate law. And him and his 100 team members handle the legal problems of Moore Corporations," replied Michael to her.

Samantha then said, "So he doesn't know anything about acquisition. He draft up contracts and make sure they are good. So I have no idea why Micah insisted I sent him there."

"Micah said we need a change and he is legal so he needs to jump in the mixed," replied Michael to her as he walked off.

Samantha chuckled and watched him leave.

I in the meantime reached the conference room and 12 supervisors and the Accountant stood. I knew: Karen Matalan Manager of Red Garden Café, Diva Morgan Manager of Red Garden Club, Sherman Jackson Restaurant Manager of Red Garden Restaurant and Andrew Chase Accountant.

David was there and was typing on his tablet.

I went to the head chair and said, "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. My name is Celia Anderson and the young man typing is David Rollins. He is the CEO of SurTech Enterprise Holdings Limited.

He will be handling our cyber security. That involves antivirus and firewall protection. So you guys will be seeing him and his team around."

Sharon waved and everyone said, "Good Afternoon mam."

"Ok guys. How about I begin by telling you about myself? Well I am a determined and hard working person with a lot of initiative. I like everything to be perfect and I work hard. So guys are going to be worked harder.

I am not the Queen that barks orders like Jane. I am a person that shares the power. So I have already started working on security. So now I am going to be walking around and spending some time with each and every one of you.

So about myself, I am Dr. Celia Anderson. I am 26 years ago. I started working for Hawthorne Medical Center.

Four years in I became the CEO of Hawthorne Medical Center. For 16 years I was the manager of 7 labs, 3 clinics, a surgery, a pharmacy, a fleet of 100 trucks and a private hospital with 300 beds.

I lost my job 4 years ago when Hawthorne International was shut down by DEA and a large Lawsuit from Moore Corporations.

I spent the last four years working for Jane as a: Stripper, Porn star, waitress and Cover Girl. And I was behind the Red Garden 3.0. It was programmed by my daughter with my ideas," I quickly told them and they applauded.

Andrew stood up and said, "Personally I am happy that you are the manager for now. I am hoping it's permanent."

Everyone laughed and he continued saying, "Guys you don't know the talent we have. And I know the week you are here with us. And I have seen your days at the Red Carpet and you piloted the wave to Red Garden 3.0"

I nodded and they applauded.

Then I said, "Ok I am going need you guys to stand up and introduced yourself. Then brief tell me about your team."

The man to my left rose up and said, "My name is Dean Samson. And I am the Online Manager of Red Garden 3.0. My team is 20 members. Our job is to sell the Red Garden Complex, subsidiary of Richard Entertainment Group.

We also handle the tech problems of the complex. So we don't unload as much due to the run in and out. Plus the communication problems are a bit off as we spend a lot on call credit cards."

"That is not good. You should be focusing on your online platform as that is more customers. Plus I have a great app for communication. It is called Connected. We have been testing it out. It is designed for intercompany communications.

Basically it is social media for a specific company. It wills all you guys to gossip and do anything you can on Facebook but only to your coworkers. It allows you to text, voice call and Video call.

In addition you can do a lot more with it like banking via the Moore Financial link. It has a lot of features. And Tech. Pro. Software will be handling your tech problems. So focus on that online platform," Davis to him and I smiled.

I then said, "Ok Dean I expected you to work on that website hard with your team. And we should be selling harder and having a lot more customers."

He smiled and sat down. The lady beside stood up in her red dress.

"Hello my name is Shawna Rivers. I am the Editor-in-Chief of Red Carpet Magazine. We are a porno magazine that caters to men. We distribute to 42 states, France and South Africa. We print twice a week. And have a 75 pages booklet," replied Shawna to me.

I nodded and said, "And I love you central page nude model. And the design is creative."

She sat down and the man next to her got up.

He then said, "My name is Samuel Runs. I am the General Manager of Red Garden Hotel. We have 4 stars. We boast 200 rooms; 195 that are all VIP first class. Five are on the 20th floor and they are the Penthouse.

The hotel has a spa, restaurant, Bar and General Pharmacy. We are aiming for five stars."

"And you will achieve it under my administration," I quickly told him and everyone laughed.

He sat down and a doctor in his white coat with his stethoscope around his neck stood up.

He then said, "My name is Dr. Dean Hunt. I am the Resident Doctor and Manager of the Red Garden Clinic. We are 8 months old and I am happy that the CEO of the Red Garden Complex is a doctor.

Jane spoke highly of you and wants you at the clinic but I must tell you. We are full staffed."

We all laughed and he continued saying, "Ok I am a joker. So I have 42 nurses and we see general patients. We don't do surgeries and we have an in house pharmacy that gives our prescription drugs.

It made us additional cash."

"You seem like a quickly thinker and with that we will get along great," I told him as he sat down.

A man in a cowboy suit quickly got up and he said, "Ok I am Samson York. I am the Manager of Red Garden Films Llc. You are still our number one star. And the only one with a HPSA."

Everyone applauded and I said, "Ok I have a big woman now so my days in the studio are over. But keep up the work."

He sat down and a woman got up in her blue pants suit.

She then said, "Good afternoon mam. My name is Carmen Hedjaz. I am the Manager of Red Garden Casino & Grill. I want to say first of all thank you for the additional security in the casino floor.

My team will be safer now."

"No it is good as we should have security there. A casino is dangerous sometime," I quickly told her and David said, "In addition the cameras will be fitted with face recognition software of my design.

It will flag anyone that is blacklisted or have a problem. Then the arm band phones on the guard's hands will get alerts, photos and videos. Then they can intercept. Plus their communication is encrypted so no one but them can get in.

Each guards walki talki has a 7 digit security code and without it no one but them can get in on your channel. The new network is fully programmed by me. And my tech experts are here checking for bugs in your system."

I smiled and said, "Like I said. We are getting top level security here. So let's keep the introductions going."

The woman at the other end of the table got up in her floral dress.

Then she said, "Well you already know me. I am Karen Matalan Manager of Red Garden Café. We are a coffee shop on the property. We also do baked goods and import our beans from the Blue Mountains Coffee Company.

Our cheese cake and muffins are to die for."

As she sat down I said, "I will be stopping by to check it out."

The woman next to her stood up in her red fur and everyone whistled.

She then said, "My name is Diva Morgan. I am the Manager of Red Garden Strip Club. We open every day including holidays. We open from 6 pm to 6 am.

We have 28 dancers and normally two guest performers nightly. 20 waitresses, 6 bartenders and a Photographer.

We are famous for the dollar wines and midnight flares. We have hosted bachelors for the greats and a lot of birthday parties."

I applauded and she sat down. Then the man next to her stood up in his black tuxedo and gloves.

He then said, "My name is Sherman Jackson. I am the Restaurant Manager of Red Garden Restaurant.

We are an upscale restaurant that caters in 17 different cuisines. We don't give a menu. We offer a visual aid and they pick it. Thank you."

He then sat back down and Andrew Chase got up in his brown suit.

He then said, "Ok I no stranger. You know me. I am the Accountant and head of a team of 20 others. We handle: the books, payroll, divestment and all financial related problems."

He then sat back down and I asked, "Where do all the profits go?"

"They go into the main account and from it we deduct our expenses," replied Andrew to me.

I then said, "That is bad business mainly because this doesn't allow you to track your money and see your profit margin. So in going forward I believe all 12 subsidiaries should have two accounts.

One will be the expenses account. From this account you pay the suppliers, employees and whatever that subsidiary needs.

The next account would be the profit account. With that you whatever profit you make, after deducting your expenses, goes into it.

10% of it goes to the main profits account. And then there will be a main expense account that sends the money down to the other 12 expense account. With this you can get spreadsheets, graphs and track nonprofits.

And we can cut out the paper. You can pay everyone electronically."

Andrew then yelled, "Yes! Finally a boss that agrees with me."

We all laughed and David said, "This matter can be sorted out easily. All you have to do is talk to the bank and we can link it. Plus I was thinking a database for your records would be safer. This is 2016 not the 1950's.

I say we cut out paper and have a database. You can access it anytime and anywhere. So we will be programming that also and my tech team will be integrating to get the staff to learn.

Look Red Garden is here and I think you can achieve so much more with just a few ideas and the involvement of technology."

To my surprise the once taughtful and opinionated board Jane described nodded.

I then said, "My ideas will aim at raising our profit margins and keeping our expenses per company at US$ 1 million a month."

Everyone got excited and Andrew said, "We like you more as that budget has never been there."

"Well that's the difference between me and Jane. I aim to make money and business is all about fun. You have to spend to make money.

This means we need to capitalize on all avenues of money. And the staff is over worked but the profits aren't there.

So we need to work around it. So Andrew 12 members of your team will be in the subsidiaries to manage the expense and profit accounts. Meanwhile the other eight will be with you to manage the system.

They will be the financial department and track it," I quickly told him.

He nodded and said, "That is good and will speed up paying. Plus I will have all the employees get an account. I know the MD over at Rostand Savings & Loans and I will talk to him about bringing the mobile unit.

So with that the employees without can get accounts."

I nodded and said, "I see a solution there already. And before you guys get any ideas I told I am an effective person. And having employees walk around with cash or cheque is dangerous. Changing a cheque today is easy as you can get a fake ID anywhere for $50

With this system it is quicker and faster. Now let's continue with the introduction."

The woman beside Chase stood up and said, "Tiara Rodent. And I am the Events manager. I have a team of 25 people. We throw birthday, bachelorette and even sex parties. Everything to do with that goes through me.

Two months ago we started the subsidiary Red Garden Events. And we have been trying to source out our services. We have done some mini parties."

I nodded and said, "I love your parties. And I think your page on the website is off the hook. So with that I say keep up the work."

The woman after her stood up and Chase said, "Gabrielle Union."

We all laughed and she said, "My name is Gabrielle Torn. I am the head of Red Garden Auxiliary & Associates. We have over 200 janitors, 100 maids and 50 Secretaries. We deal clean and keeping the place clean.

And also we deal with hiring and firing through the Associates division."

As she sat down I said, "Ok first of all the Associates part is HR job and I think it should be separated from you and create the Red Garden Associates Llc. And they are responsible for the hiring and firing.

This will give you more time to focus on cleaning and maintenance. Now last but not lease the man with a lot of security."

The final person to my right stood up and said, "Ok my name is Darrel Samson. I am the warehouse manager of the Red Garden Complex. I over see a fleet of 24 trucks, 5 warehouses and 350 Employees.

Our job is collect from the suppliers and delivered to the complex. We also do mails too. We work around the clock.

As for the additional security we have a lot of high value liquors in there and we need to keep it safe."

I smiled and he sat down.

Then I exhaled and said, "Ok that is all and everything is about to go. So Andrew and Darrel I need to see you in my office in the next hour.

As for the rest of you the meeting is adjourned. Now Rachael, Claire and Simon go will Andrew and Darrel to the office.

I have a phone call to make."

Everyone then went and I searched for Michael's phone number. I dialed it and called him. As he walked into the lobby of Moore Towers his phone rang. It was an unknown number to him.

And so he answered saying, "Hello Good Afternoon. Michael Moore. How may I assist you?"

With tears in my eyes I said, "Michael its Celia. We need to talk."

He stopped dead in his tracks
