There's only one way to go after you've hit rock bottom... and that's up
Five days to get my stuff and never return to Sioux falls, it didn't take long to get my possessions... but what of my mother, she doesn't even know of my curse, yes, my mother is mortal. I've hid my curse for eight years, she didn't even know my father was cursed, I couldn't tell her of my curse... no way in hell. So I left her behind, telling her I needed to become my own person you know, the sappy crap, she believed it and with a final farewell, I left my mother. My grandmother offered me a place at her home, while she live outside of town, I couldn't... she still worked with the pack and it would just feel awkward. All I asked her was to hold onto my things while I found a home, a place I could call my own.
While I had planned on going alone, Kieth insisted he should accompany me on my journey, I let him come, as blood brothers we needed to stay together. And his magic could also come in handy if needed, we left my grandmother's and set off in an old pickup of my grandmother's, her gift to me. For the next few weeks... Kieth and I went from pack to pack, the first we encountered was the Kansas pack. They greet us with respect, my name as the Sioux packs weapon still lived on, but the scars kept me from joining there pack, the mark of the exiled is ment to show that this wolf is to not be trusted. I only stayed until the full moon had passed and then headed west to the Nevada pack, hoping they except me... they didn't.
I kept on going though, trying only the small packs, but they didn't except me. So I finally chose one of ten large packs, our packs created ranks, there were to many to count but we did know the top ten, the smaller ones had branched of the ten larger ones due to different position on ideas, the Sioux pack had been the second most powerful pack out their, I chose to head towards the third... California's pack. This pack, while only being fourth, are probably the toughest pack out their, but strength is not all we need, it's command and tolerance that we need. California has had a witch problem for as long as we can remember, so the wolves here have fought every day of their lives, making them strong.
But this pack also has a weakness, they work below vampires, well I should say, Royal vampires. A line of pure vampires, not turned by bites, but had been this way through the birth of the first vampires, unlike the turned vampires, these vamp's can hold off there temptation for mortal blood. There strong and have found weaknesses in the california pack, but instead of slaughtering the pack... they made an agreement. The wolves can kill the turned vamp's, giving the pure bloods room to wreck there own havoc among the the mortals, and in return, the pure bloods will stay out of the city's the pack controls. This agreement is one we outside packs believe to be treacherous, we kill vamp's because they ain't to be trusted, I learned the hard way, I came upon the pack and was invited to stay but only if I follow their agreement, fat chance.
For the few weeks I spent their, I ment some interesting people... one in particular I've chose to keep tabs on is a vamp who seems to have the power the witches possess. This is impossible though, once killed by a vamp, if you were a witch you lost your power when you came back to life. But this... thing was a the walking dead with the powers to destroy an entire town, I first ran into him when Kieth got news of a powerful witch coven, and they had recently been attacked by some turned vamp's. I worked with the pack to kill the vamp's who attacked the coven, when talking to the "Queen" witch, was when I seen the boy. He was with an older women, probably his mother, while he was a vamp, he hadn't fully turned.
Before you become a vampire and start possessing the power they have, you must drink blood, and this boy hasn't, could just call him a vamp virgin, heck he wasn't even a witch yet either, maybe this attack was set to keep him from becoming a witch. So I had to kill him, before he became a vamp, or witch, whatever comes first... I knew the pack would exile me but I wasn't just going to sit back and wait for this boy to kill innocence. I pushed pass the Alpha and "Queen" witch and rushed the boy. Before any of the knew what was going on I was gone along with the boy, I brought him to the edge of the town and tossed him against a tree.
What the hell are doing... What did I due to deserve this
Nothing yet... But if I let you live... you will probably drink the blood a mortal... you are a vamp after all
How do know this, no one knows about this besides my mother...
He looked scared, good, he should be.
I've grown up knowing only one thing... kill, so of course I've learned how to see what my prey is... the sent of the dead is all over you, but you also have the blood of a witch running through you, which is impossible
Let me go please, I have no desire to become a vampire, I'm only like this because of a girl from my past, I met her in the woods
Wow, like me, this boy met a girl in the woods that fucked up his life... I can still remember her... Lillith, the person I fear.
Didn't your parents teach you not to talk to strangers, especially when they have fangs... you should've turned around that day, because now... your dead.
I charged him, ready to rip open his throut, right when I was about to though... did I catch another scent, this one was not apart of him, but it lingered on him, the scent of imprinting... the process in which a wolf chooses it's mate and protects them by law of the pack. I couldn't kill him, he was protected from any harm from the pack
Dammnit... what's your name kid
Shocked by the sudden change of action, he spoke in a small tone
L-lucas
Well Lucas... today is your lucky day. When you get back to your mate you should thank them, Because they marked you... I'll be on my way now
I turned around leaving him there to quake in fear alone
Oh and one more thing Lucas
I turned back to face him.
When you see her again... tell her that Slade says she's pithetic... falling for a vamp... treachery is what it is.
I left him at that. When I returned, the pack was waiting, an outrage is what they called it and then they sent me on my way. Guess I'm back on the road
