Peaceful Farming (22)

Gathering her tools—a sturdy broom, a shovel, and a small pickaxe for stubborn ice—she climbed onto the farmhouse roof first, her movements deliberate and steady. The snow crunched underfoot as she began to clear it away, working from the peak downward to avoid causing a sudden avalanche.

Below, Elara and her son prepared tarps and barrels to catch the snow Arpious sent tumbling down. Elara occasionally called out tips: "Push lighter loads near the edges; they're more fragile!" or "Watch for icicles—they can be dangerous if they fall!"

Arpious grunted in acknowledgment, her hands working rhythmically. She took care to inspect the shingles beneath the snow, pausing to knock loose ice from between the gaps. At the edges of the roof, she noted patches of ice that had built up, forming jagged icicles that dangled menacingly. With precise swings of her small pickaxe, she broke them free and tossed them carefully to the ground.
