Silence was not golden

He used to love the humorous conversations which lifted his spirit, an incentive he enjoyed each time he took Keren home. Now she gaze into the endless sky and the swift passing of the roadside; searching for the possibility of an obscure “Us” in the wind of time.

Ever since they met, she had never been this angry at him. But why? Was she jealous of Julie? She has no reason to be. Keren was clearly not my girlfriend. I can be with whoever I please. Still! Why do I feel guilty and stupid at the same time? These thoughts, troubled him.

For some unknown reasons, Addison was drawn to her. And seeing her sad, was even more troubling to him. He knew he had to choose his words rightly. He thrust out a hand full of their favourite cookies.

“Eat some.”

“I’m not hungry.” She held her chin towards the window.

“We could get something else if you want.”

“I’m really tired. I’d rather go straight home.”

“If that’s what you want, sure.”
