I felt dizzy.

"Are you okay?" Someone asked

Everything was a blur. I looked up and saw a figure. They have a golden halo around its head.

"Angle...Beautiful" I mumbled and then fainted.

VILLAIN'S POV

"Angle...Beautiful" the man on the grass mumbled as he stared at me then passed out.

"Me? Beautiful?" I whispered as I blushed. I shook the thought away and looked around us. We ended up in a forest a few miles away from the castle.

*We need to get further* I thought as I figured out how long it would take for us to get to my place. *It will take some time for my magic to recover. I need to find somewhere to hide and rest*

"Hmm" The man on the grass hummed in his sleep.

*Cute* I thought *Wait. What? No. I can't think like that.*

After I got over my mental meltdown, I finally looked down and got a good look at him. His black hair covered almost most of his strikingly bright blue eyes.

*How can he see through all that hair?* I wondered

I lifted him and tried to carry him on my back. It didn't work. He kept slipping off and it didn't help that he was much more muscular than I am. I ended up dragging him for a bit until I realized that we both looked ridiculous.

I looked around and saw a fallen tree. How lucky!

I left the man by the tree for a bit so that I could figure out how to hide us.

The tree wasn't big enough for the man to lay down so I pulled off a piece of bark from the tree and used it as a shovel. I dug a hole next to the tree.

I can hide the man in this hole and I can rest under the tree and look out for any soldiers.

I dragged the man into the hold and settled in under the tree.

I sighed and held my hands to my head. *This was not the plan. What now?*

HERO'S POV

I opened my eyes and saw the sky covered by the leaves of trees. I looked around me and saw dirt all around me. *Why am I in a hole?*

I sat up and looked around. I saw the blond man under a tree. He had his hands held up to his face. *Is he praying?!*

"Hey! I'm not dead yet, you know!" I yelled at him

He looked up in surprise. He looked like he saw a zombie. *Wait...Did he think I actually died?*

"You are awake" he said

"Yep. Eh...where are we?" I asked

"We are a few miles from the castle. I just need to rest for a bit so that I can teleport us to my place." He answered

"Your place? Where?" I asked

"Umm...somewhere you have never been" he replied

*That could literally be anywhere* I thought to myself

I stood up. "Do you mind if I sit next to you? Laying down in that hole makes me feel like I'm being buried alive." I said

"Sure, but it's a small spot." he replied as he scooted over.

"If it's okay with you, it's okay for me." I said as I sat next to him and we sat in silence for a while.

"How long are we going to wait here?" I asked

"Just until I have enough magic. So, in about thirty minutes" he answered

I sighed. My butt's already hurting. We sat in silence for a while until we heard voices.

"Crap! They're going to see us." I whispered

Blonde suddenly laid on top of me and covered us in a blanket.

"Dude, we are not five years old. A blanket isn't going to hide us. They are going to see us." I whispered

"This has invisibility magic on it. They won't see us" he reassured me

*Where was he even hiding this?* I wondered

I was suddenly aware of how close we were to each other. I couldn't see anything so I could not see his face. *He probably doesn't even notice.* I thought sadly

The voices were now getting closer and I could hear what they were saying.

"Have you ever seen Sebastian this determined? Cause I haven't" one guy said

"No. This is a first" the other replied

"This Hero guy must be really important to him. He sent most of the castle army after him." The first guy said

They were getting closer.

"More like obsessed, if you asked me" the second guy said

The second guy suddenly stopped. "Wait. Somethings not right" he said

"What's wrong?" The first asked

"This tree…" the second guy got closer to get a better look

I was freaking out. *This is it. I'm going to be forced back to the castle and then killed. Eternal slumber awaits me. Actually, that doesn't sound too bad…*

I felt someone grab my hand. I stopped mid-panic mode. "Everything will be okay." Blonde whispered

I calmed down a bit and nodded.

The second guy got even closer and passed the tree.

"This tree has a hole next to it. It looks like someone tried to bury a dead animal" he told the other guy

*dead...animal?*

"Hahaha...I guess it wasn't actually dead" the first guy said

*It's me. I'm the 'not actually dead animal'* I thought with a grimace look.

"I think the coast it clear" the villain said

He took the blanket off and we sat back up.

"Thanks. By the way, what's your name?" I asked

He hesitated before replying "Mal, and yours?"

"Hero" I replied

"Hero" he said "I have a question, why did you ask me to take you instead? Do you really love the princess that much?"

I stared in confusion "Eh...why do you think I even like the princess? Let alone love?"

"W-well there have been rumors…" he said nervously

"Those are just rumors" I stated

"Oh, then why…" he asked

"Because" I stared into his eyes and said "I want to be your apprentice."

"Huh?"

"Teach me how to be a villain" I said
