Fate?

All thing set. Food, check. Weapon, check. Miscellaneous items, check. Okay, now I can go. What about Luna you asked? She's with me. It's just that she want to stay inside the house while we travel since she had her circumstances. Unless we got solution for them, she'll stay inside. How come you asked? You see, yesterday after I'm done preparing breakfast I tried my crafting skill. Well, magic item crafting to be exact. Somehow I got I hunch that I can get that skill by using Item Crafting skill and imagine some features for the item.

To be exact, I just followed what Hermit said while following my instinct. Maybe it's due to my Genius passive, somehow I'm certain that I can pull it off. After that, I tried to refine the item to increase its effect. The item I created is something I called Portable Storage. It is shaped like a star with some decoration on it. To use it, I just need to attach it to any object I wanted then it will shrink to palm size.

Another magic item I created is called Otherworldly Crystal. Though it has crystal in its name, it's not made of crystal or shaped like typical magic crystal. It's made of some metals from monster called Metal Pangolin which was one of the best monster part to be used from monster. I fused it with some other monster material called crystal scale from Crystal Crocs and Space Pocket from Shadow Slasher. The item acts as a miniature world in which I can place all living and non-living being. Though there's capacity for things stored. Some other items also crafted but I'll omit them here.

Aside from this two magic item, I also forged some weapons such as swords, axe and some other things for both Luna and I. For Luna, I forged anything she wanted from dagger to cooking knife. As for me, I forged anything that came to my mind that will be useful. I also forged some 'new type' weapon in which it does not exist in this world to test its practicality. As for magic weapon, I just forged small numbers as I wanted to avoid problem as much as possible. According to Luna, magic weapon is often the cause of problem from causing unnecessary attention to causing war. So yeah, there you go.

Another thing is, I also take some time testing all of my abilities to verify their effects and range. At the very least, I can prepare for the worst. Due to all of these, somehow or another my status got updated but yeah I don't think it's that rare. After all, practice makes perfect right? It's not like it's because I'm abnormal or due to be coming from other world right? Let's just forget this since my memory still full of holes.

Alright. Putting all things into my Shadow Pocket which is one my subskill under shadow magic, it's time to say goodbye to this forest. It's been too long since my last time going into journey, so I'm quite excited. But at the same time it's quite sad to leave this forest as this is where I live for the past seven years. Maybe I'll back here again sometime. The only things remain is to shrink the house using Portable Storage and calling my buddies.

Closing the door, I attached the item to the door. In an instant, the house shrank to a palm size being in 2D shape. After that, I used Telepathy to confirm the situation inside of the house where Luna is. Confirming that everything's fine, I wear the item as necklace to make it easy to place it later.

Clearing all of that, I whistled. I wanted to use another magic item, but that will risked calling other being that may be hostile in which will be troublesome. In a moment, several different sounds can be heard. Leaves rustling, wing flapping, branches breaking, and slithering sound. In front of me, several different entities appeared. A two metre high bird, five metre long snake, three metre high wolf, and half metre long tarantula.

These four beast were actually tamed just yesterday. Yes, yesterday. Since I never keep pets before so why not go all out. Well, the type just randomly tamed based on my mood that time. A Nether Hawk, a Freezing Cobra, an Infernal Wolf and a Terra Taran respectively, surprisingly the beasts were matching with my magic elemental. As I will go for a journey, I'll keep them inside my shadow instead of letting them roam around.

Confirming that everything that, I compressed the air and launched myself forward into the woods. By utilising my magic, I can move from place to place. Though before I can see my status, usually I will manipulate Qi to enhance my movement speed and reflexes. Along the way, I exterminate some beasts and collect their materials so that I can sell them when I arrive at the town. After all, money is a necessary.

Deep inside the forest, I detected some mana fluctuation when I'm dissecting some monsters. It seems trouble happening somewhere near hear. From what I can sense, a small group of people were fighting against a big pack of monsters. Oh, it seems the people can't held any longer. Better give some help. But, maybe I can use Disguise to avoid future problems. Preparation complete. Time to dash.

After several turns around the forest, I can finally see the battleground. It seems a caravan being attacked by a herd of Orcs and some Trolls. What's worse, what seems to be the guards had been slaughtered one-sidedly? Regenerating Trolls and tenacious Orcs, especially in a herd one was well known as a nightmare for a caravan especially for slave traders dealing with women slaves. From what I can see, the caravan side only got three capable fighters, while other survivors can't be said dependable. Moving forward, I sped up and slash an Orc which tried to sneak an attack behind what seems to be a female adventurer.

Thud!

A head rolled down from the neck. Getting into the momentum, I keep on slashing my sword to exterminate the Orcs first one after another. While doing that, I tried to make a contact with the group.

"I came to help. No need to be so wary. I'll deal with this bunch while you regroup your people. Make sure to keep your distance to avoid stray attack."

I keep on slashing the Orcs while transmitting my intention. After a moment, the adventurer seems to digest what's happening. Realizing that she'll only became a hindrance, she started to follow my instructions. While she's regrouping her people, the Orcs had been killed. As for the Trolls, I planned to use bare hand as their regeneration will chip on my sword.

Since the Trolls were not that many, it didn't too much time to be dealt. With the last one being killed, I turned to the survivor and retrieved some healing salves and potions. I don't planned to reveal the fact that I can use magic in front of strangers. After all, magic often became the reason to wage war even for the so called democratic nation.

"Drink this. It's a healing potion so it will help to ease the injury. When you're feeling better, used the rest for the others. You need to use the salves for a light injury. Since all I can see are females, I can't help you on that since I'd my own circumstances. I hope you can understand. In the meanwhile, I'll dissect these monsters."

After confirming that, I proceed to dissect all the monsters while stay on guard. I can see that the situation of the survivors stabilized bit by bit. Seeing that, I let out a relieved sigh. At the same time, I can't help but feel regret for not being able to help earlier to avoid casualties. Thinking all of that, I finished dissecting all of the monsters and put all of them inside a magic bag that I prepared beforehand. After some fine checking, I turned to face the survivors.

"I had done dissecting the monsters. It seems there's no monsters around the radius due to the pack. After this, I planned to proceed to the nearest town. With that in mind, what will all of you do? Before that, what's happening actually?"

"Thanks for saving us. Not only that, you even lend us some precious potions and salves. By the way, sorry for the late introduction. My name is Felicia Bantley. From what you can see, I'm an adventurer. I'm with my party members were requested to guard this caravan which belong to a slave trader. Unfortunately, we were attacked by the monsters which resulted with a huge casualties including the slave trader. Without your help, we may face death. After some discussion, we planned to keep on going to the next town called Alexia. Can we asked your mercy to travel with us together? And, can I know your name sir?

"You can just called me Has. As for your request, as long as I can keep the monster materials that I have no problems. You don't need to reimburse me. After all, I can't take anything from the unfortunate."

"I see. Sir Has, is t okay if I called you that?"

"Just Has is fine. Dropped the formality. I'm not good with that."

"Has it is. For the materials, I don't mind. Our priority is our safety."

"Okay then. It wouldn't be long, but please take care of me."

"Please take care of me too"

"Since your number seems to be just a fit inside the caravan, please have a rest. I'll hold the rein. It must be a huge toll for all of you, so just take it easy."

"… Thank you for the offer. We'll take on your offer then. Just, please don't push yourself okay Has?"

"No worries. Just rest plentifully before we reach Alexia."

With the end of the conversation, I oversee their entrance into the caravan. When all was ready, I went to the driver seat and crack the whip to let the horse led the way.

Inside the caravan, a conversation between two individuals take place. Only this two person seems awake while the others already deep in their dreams.

"It's okay now, everything's fine. Please have some rest, Milady."

"I'm no longer your Milady. I'm just a slave right now. Plus, I can't rest while you wide awake Felicia."

"I'm just fine. Whatever happened you'll always my precious princess, and my childhood friend."

"Felicia, you dummy."

"Anyway, that Has fellow. Somehow, he remind me of that one prince. One that they called the Useless one. It's just, I don't know how to say."

Little did they know that the person taking the rein of the caravan was the person that had been searching for such a long time. Perhaps, fate has something for them.
