Chapter 167

"No." Erik said. "I don't care what you say. I do not agree with it. I'm furious with you right now!"

"Erik, please!" Pearl pleaded.

"No!" He said, holding her arm and not letting her move.

"Erik, if you don't let me out of this bed, I'm going to be late to the Spotify thing today and then that, in turn, will make me late for the launch party for our album tonight. We've been in bed for two days!" Pearl said, wrestling her arm away.

Erik smiled as he watched the spit fire of a woman cuss him as she threw some clothes on and frantically put herself together.

"I'll be ready to go to the party when you get back. Or maybe I will just tie you to the bed next time!" He called after her. Pearl rushed out the door and Jim followed.

"Sorry I'm late." Pearl said to the guys as she rushed through the entrance of the building.

"No worries. We are still waiting on Ian." Dylan said. "How are you?" He asked.

"Im so happy, I'm disgusted with my own self." She said, laughing.

"You are radiant right now. I've never seen you like this." He said, putting his arm around her.

The interview was excellent as they talked about the behind the scenes making of it. They walked to the lobby after and Ian asked Pearl if he could talk to her alone.

"Of course. What's up?" She asked. He walked with her to the coffee shop next door.

"Are you ok?" She asked, grabbing her latte and adding Splenda.

"Not really. Carys says she might be carrying my child." He said. Pearl stopped and looked at him.

"Rhys told me." She said. "It was one of the last things he told me."

"Funny thing it, I had a vasectomy 6 years ago after my daughter was born." He said. Pearl's eyes opened wide. She didn't know Ian had a kid and that meant that Rhys was more than likely the father.

"Oh shit." Pearl said.

"Also, Carys never let me, you know, inside of her. She said it was gross. I think she is lying. She doesn't even look pregnant. She should be showing by now. She has to be like five or six months along. She's an evil, conniving bitch." He said.

"Are you going to tell her about the vasectomy?" Pearl asked

"Nope. I'm going to ride it out. If she tries to pin it on me, I'll call her out then." He said.

"Good. I've got your back, no matter what." Pearl said. Ian smiled and nodded.

"How are things with Prince Perfect?" He asked.

"Perfect. Too perfect." She said.

"I like you with him. He lets you be who you are. You look really happy."

"I am. For the first time, I am completely happy." She said. Then her face changed.

"Something isn't right, though." He said, noticing her change of demeanor.

"He's a prince. It's not like there is any hope of a future." She said.

"Why the hell not? You're better than most of the privileged half wits I've had the displeasure of meeting." He leaned closer to her. "You are an incredible woman, Pearl. No one deserves the kind of life he can give more than you. You would do so much for the world." He said. Pearl smiled and thanked him.

"I'll be Seattle next week. I'll come and see you."

She said.

"I'll clean up all the pizza boxes and empty bottles of Jack, then." He said. Pearl laughed and told him she had to go. "See you tonight." She said.

She got back to the house and Erik was there and dressed. "Whoa! Your ass looks delicious in those pants." Pearl said. He had on form fitting, high waisted light gray trousers with a silk dress shirt with the collar open and was putting on a dark gray blazer.

"Now, now. We don't want to be late." He said, imitating her performance earlier.

"I think I might like your idea about tying me to the bed better." Pearl said.

"Nope. Get upstairs and get in the shower. You smell like sex and other terrible decisions." He said. "You look like them, too." He said with a devilish grin.
